I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with George’s Towing / Valeo, entirely due to the front desk staff.
Before even coming in, I called ahead to confirm the process after winning a vehicle at auction. I was told all I needed was the release PIN that had been emailed to me. I drove 1.5 hours each way to their location, provided the PIN, and was then told the vehicle could not be released. When I attempted to calmly re-verify the PIN to ensure it was correct, the front desk attendant became defensive, insisted she had written it down correctly, and dismissed my attempt to clarify. It later became clear the PIN had been entered incorrectly on their end.
Because of this error, I was forced to leave without the vehicle and return on a second trip another day, turning what should have been a single 3-hour round trip into two separate trips totaling over 6 hours of driving.
On top of the wasted time:
-I had to pay someone to accompany me on both days to help retrieve the vehicle
-I paid bridge tolls multiple times
-I lost an entire additional day
-The total added cost was substantial,nearly half the price of the vehicle itself
To make matters worse, when I later went to the DMV, I discovered that required paperwork had not been provided. All documents were stapled together when I received them, and I handed them directly to the DMV, yet I was blamed and told, “I gave that to you,” which was simply not true. Instead of accountability, I was met with denial and deflection.
This was not a misunderstanding. This was poor communication, lack of attention to detail, no accountability, and zero concern for the customer’s time or money. The defensiveness and refusal to acknowledge clear mistakes made the experience even worse.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, I strongly recommend avoiding George’s Towing unless you are prepared for delays, repeat trips, and unnecessary expenses caused by front desk errors.
This process should have been simple. It became expensive, exhausting, and entirely preventable. The lady was middle aged, and Caucasian for reference.
(My review is for Shields recovery but they share the location with George's towing.) The guy at the service counter was real cool, he was no problem at all, friendly & no issues. But the yard that they keep the cars in is straight up garbage, trash, basura, and thats putting it lightly. It was mud all on my tires mud inside of my car on the driver side where the little cup holder storage thing is, on my break pedal & on my gas pedal. I know my car got towed but damn treat my baby with some respect
I don’t know how this place has the ratings it does. 225 dollars a for a tow from VALLEJO which they are located in to Suisun City??? A 25 minute drive??? THAT’S SO SICK, THAT’S A SCAM!!! You would be left STRANDED with these people. It would have took the truck MINUTES to get to a vehicle that was in the same city and under 30 minutes to get to the drop off destination. Unacceptable, I really hope the other tow truck company’s in the area aren’t priced like that
Good price, didn't take long to tow my car. Driver Juan is a good dude, he had to maneuver out of crowded parking lot but got it out of there no damage.
Juan was an excellent driver and got my chevy g20 van safely and quickly . To my home. Thank you Juan 5 stars! Will call back when I need help again!!!!
Juan and the secretary was very professional and through with communication and scheduling. Juan troubleshoot the issues and understood the environment, added dual dollies because my SUV is 4 wheel drive.
Very good company highly recommended. Shoutout to Francisco, he did got the job done very fast, very professional and kind guy. No doubt the best in the area.
Gustavo dropped my sisters truck causing damage, by not tying down the tires before driving out the parking lot and having a nasty foul attitude when confronted about it and lacks the awareness as to why we were upset Beware of this company, they have a habit of damaging property and charging out the nose. Beware
This is the second time I've used George's towing, and their service is SUPERB. I have had the continuous blessing of getting Randy as my driver both times, and can't say enough about what an amazing person he is. He arrived quickly both times, was very professional and exceedingly kind. Not to mention their price was the fairest I found in town. You will not be disappointed if you use GEORGE'S TOW.
Juan was amazing. He arrives earlier than expected. I was parked at the dealership and he carefully maneuvered the tow truck to pull out my car without scratching other cars. He was very efficient and I called and they gave me an estimate for $100 for 5 miles which is great pricing for local driving. I can’t appreciate them enough!
The service provided was excellent, but we encountered a small problem with the inability to split the payment. I paid $300 in cash but needed to pay an additional $32 using my debit card. Unfortunately, the company doesn’t allow split payments, Thankfully, the manager kindly deducted the $32 from my card, and the service was still delivered in a satisfactory manner.
Great Service and definitely deserve 5 stars….I had the pleasure of a polite man name Fernando…He was patient kind explained the whole process so that it was very easy for me to understand….the ride was smooth and didnt feel uncomfortable…Hes really cool and the company is very lucky to have him…

George towing has been the go to in the Vallejo/Americans Canyon/Napa area. Never had a issue with them. Have had cars/trucks/vans/old schools towed with no problem. Randy and Nando are some great drivers.
I have a Cascadia freightliner and an auto hauler trailer. I was hauling three sprinter vans at the time. I was delivering the sprinter vans to the dealership when I got my truck stuck on a slight incline that was way too high for my very low trailer. I called George’s Towing at 2:30 in the morning. He informed me that the technician had just started on another service call, and it would be a few hours before he could get to me. I didn’t want to wait, so I tried to call other towing companies, but I couldn’t find any that were available and reasonably priced. Luckily for me, waiting was no problem because I had to wait for the dealership open before I could deliver my sprinter vans. At 5:30AM I gave Goerge’s a call and they said they had just finished with their previous service Call and would be with me shortly. At 6:30AM they texted me and told me they had scheduled my service call and would text me when they were on the way. At 7 o’clock they let me know they were on the way, and at 7:30 they were there. It took him less than an hour to get me free. And it was only $500 something dollars. This same thing happened to me before in Deming New Mexico, and it was over $1200. So I’m very pleased and I have no complaints. Technician was knowledgeable and friendly.
My husband locked his keys in the car. Georgia's rjordan just responded within the hour, got us home. Thank you so much for your help. Everyone at George's towing company, you're the best.
I've used George's Tow 2 days in a row. I needed to tow my vehicle to a shop they were unable to repair it so I then needed to tow it back to my house. Both times the service was exceptional, professional dispatch, fast and affordable. I highly recommend them.
The driver appeared by the time set, he understood my problem. He figured how to best remove the car from the small parking lot. He towed the rental car to their business, giving me a lift and dropped it where they needed it. Job well done.

When I called, they were friendly and very responsive. They let me know exactly what was going to happen including time frames.

Very Courteous, prompt, driver was great, and got a flat bed tow (30 miles round trip) for a fair and reasonable price. Highly recommend! Especially after calling another company close by that just wanted to gouge me (I left the appropriate review for him however).
Very nice, definitely a great company. We got a flat in are old 71 lincoln. we were a little worried that no one would be able to tow it but we called them and they gave us a quote and came out hooked it right up no problems very professional. Would DEFINITELY use them again.. Thanks
