I love this recycle center. The early hours are great to allow workers to drop off recyclables before work. The workers have always treated me well. They are very helpful.
I like Danny's recycling because it's usually really quick. Sometimes they help you dump out your recyclables into the carts. Today I had some help and then second time I didn't have help. I went twice in one day but it's really quick and I like that they have the carts on Wheels not just the garbage cans. So when you have a lot you can just fill it up
Their definition of clean and aluminum recycling materials isn't defined anywhere. Took clean aluminum sheet metal, tubing, misc car parts with NO STEEL plugs or dowels anywhere, they still consider it all dirty aluminum. Definitely seems like someone is ripping me off

Staff is friendly and helps you unload the car. It was my first time, so it was helpful to have folks advise what to do. I had some plastic, glass, and aluminum. Most of it being aluminum.
Staff is quick to count and tally up your total and let the cashier staff know. My only input is be sure to double check the receipt...I thought it was a bit weird that the total was less than what I was expecting...on the drive back home I realized that plastic somehow had $0 tied to it. I drove back, and the staff worker had forgot to let the cashier know I had plastic...so be sure to double check!
Staff hands you a receipt for you to cash out with the ATM. Could be hectic during peak hours.

Easy and efficient way to recycle the bottles and cans. After reading that city recycling is often mixed up with garbage and ends up in landfill, decided to give this place a try and was well worth it. You get paid immediately with CA CRV refund. Been using the refund money to donate to homeless asking for help on then intersections.
Straight forward service; Attentive with the simplicity (or the 'complex') of diverse Customer-care; Oh, and there is usually a spot near the entrance *to park* in hopes for your easy escape-if it does happen to be busy. Win.Win.andWin.

I really like the place. The worker seem to go out of their way to help you out. Let me say this though, I am not new to to the world of recycling at all. Been scrapping most of my life and out of all the different recycle businesses in the S. Bay I pick Danny simply because I don't get that ugly feeling that I just got ripped off when I leave there I cannot say that for the rest of them.

It's really convenient you separate your recycling and they weigh it and give you a print out and the atm is right there with your money so it's pretty quick and like most scrap yards it's noisy and you have to pay attention because they move around fast but it effective.
One of the guys who handles the garage bins quickly stole 1 of the 3 bins i had full of plastic bottles. They only paid me for 2. They think I'm stupid or something??? I'm gonna punch his teeth out next time
Great place! Their staff is friendly, helpful and efficent. They get you in n out ex: help unload, roll your recycles to weigh station and fast. Drive from San Jose to Santa Clara is worth it instead of other places closer because of the service you receive. Check them out!
Quick and friendly service. They have an organized system that gets you in and out fast. I’ve been to other recycling places in the area but will now only be going to this place because I had such a good experience.

Feel ripped off as I’m sure there were over 70 plastic bottles which should have netted close to 3-3.50 but ended up with 2.25. The shop claims the weight is accurate but it does not measure weight in fractions of a pound. So you do get ripped off. Not coming back here!
This place is the best! I drive a little farther than my local one on Terra Bella, but it’s totally worth it Nine times out of ten the Terra Bella people just stand there while you’re dragging your bags from the car to some imaginary line and there’s very little/no effort to help you once you’re in there. But Danny’s is so different! You drive onto the lot and you’re immediately greeted by a worker with a couple bins to help you unload the stuff in your car. As soon as you open the door they start moving the stuff into the bins. They drag the bins to the machine, you get your receipt for what’s been processed, go to the cashier and pick up your money. You’re in and out in under 10 minutes with hardly any effort on your part. You don’t have to tip the helper, but I always do because I really appreciate their effort and I feel good about supporting such hard-working people. Always a great experience!
I was amazed to see the number of employees at this place who are so willing to help you. Tehy will give vontainers, point you always to the right direction. The place is gushing and bustling with people returning cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles. Very fast system, you weigh, get receipt, and then scan recript at atm to get cash.
The staff is extremely helpful and they even help unload if they're not too busy. It's easy to get in and out of the place and there's lots of parking. However, from time to time, it's hard to get back out again because of large trucks driving through to pick up and remove recycling from the facility. Danny's is a large organization and the facility is well-managed.
Great service. Fast and easy. Only down side i can think of. Is that they will only cash you out for 100lbs of cans. Not sure if that is on everything. I had 108lbs and i have to go back to get the rest.
Great customer service. They guide you for parking & their's someone that'll help you take your stuff to get weighted so you can get your refund quickly. ATM type payment machine very quick & accurate too.

If you are looking for getting back your CRV that you paid for, then you will be treated with disrespect.
Kindly be expected to be deceived during every step of the process.
Also, the safety measures are zero, so please be careful when you visit this location.
Not sure if it is relevant but the location seem to be quite profitable considering the deceiving tactics set by the owners, I guess!
Very helpful staff. This was my first visit, and it went quite well. It seemed to go quicker if you only gave one type of material. I was in and out in about 15 minutes in less.
You may want to have a couple extra bucks for tipping. The were very appreciative of this, and well worth it. They do practically everything for you.
Compared to other recycling places I've been, this, its like a $20 prime rib versus a .99 cheeseburger.
Don't be nervous, just go.
1.) Pull up your car
2. ) Grab a red garbage can
3.) Bring your full can to the right of the hopper
4.) They snag it, put on conveyor, weight and give you a "weight receipt"
5.) Head to the payment window with the receipt
6.) They will give you a payment slip, then you head to the ATM to the right and get paid out in cash.
7.) Be careful pulling out
Almost always take my recycling here they're pretty fast and efficient. The busyness depends on what day you go. Weekdays are the best when it's not an upcoming holiday; they're usually pretty slow. But weekends get really packed you should try and go on a weekday that fits your schedule. Service is good all the workers are usually very helpful. The main thing I don't like is how the parking is set up. It's pretty much right on site next to all the forklifts and big trucks. So yeah, my warning for you is..there is bound to be some glass or trash on the floor, so be cautious weather when driving or walking on the site.
