Brought my car here for yearly maintenance for years, no issues ever mentioned. Then out of nowhere, they pushed a full rotor and brake pad replacement. I later found out the parts they claimed were OEM were actually cheap, low-grade knockoffs. This is clear dishonesty and false advertising. STAY AWAY! Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews!
My relationship with Exact Motorsports started 4 years ago when I was informed by other shop that my Nissan Z has compression issue and needing an engine rebuild while the car runs fine and pulls strong. Few members from the Z community suggested me to bring my vehicle to Exact Motorsports for a 2nd opinion and it turned out my compression + leak down were all within the factory spec. Since then, Exact Motorsports has been maintenance and performance upgrade my Z and other vehicles. Exact Motorsports has always been honest on the works that are need it. They’re honestly, great work and reasonable rates are what I appreciates the most especially these days.
For car enthusiasts like myself, finding a reliable mechanic shop can be a challenge. Positive online reviews don't always guarantee trustworthiness, especially when written by people who might not have deep car knowledge.

I have taken a couple of my Lexus vehicles to John and Sandy over the last 20 years for both maintenance and aftermarket work. They've always taken great care of my vehicles, finished the job in a timely manner, and quoted reasonable rates. I'll always trust my vehicles in their hands.

When I was there, they had a lot of Z cars inside and out around the garage.
They seem to know how to work on tuner cars as well as EV’s as I’ve seen a few of them come by as well as SUV’s.
I was there on a Saturday and not even an hour into opening, they got super packed and busy.
Therefore, it would be a wise decision to call them in order to check the status of their schedule as well as make an appointment with them ahead of time.
They do basic oil changes and tires as well as more in-depth engine work.
They’re a one stop shop at a reasonable price range and a hidden gem!
The out of the way location will require some up front planning if waiting for your car to be serviced is not an option.

Pricing from memory is far more competitive than going to a dealer (it has been a while since I have visited one) and I feel less likely to be taken advantage of.
Appearances can be quite deceiving. The business clearly does not focus on the decor, but that just ensures a lower cost to me in the end.
I’ve been going here for over ten years with all my cars ranging from a single turbo sc300, 4wd tacoma, sienna, and all the other random shitbox cars ive had over the years and theyve been phenomenal in helping me w maintenance, upgrades, tire mounting/balancing. Such a nice honest business and im so happy theyre still around. Their schedule has definitely gotten busier so be sure to call and make an appt.

Steve is the man, a padawan of the Jedi master himself, John. He'll tell you stuff about your car you didn't know.
John, hmmm, really can't say much, he's a culmination of the aforementioned and a bag of chips. Whatever he says, you better do, because his insight goes beyond yours and I don't give AF who you think you are, John will run rings around you. You've never worked on Nissan GT-R, Supra TT, and other legendary cars have you?
I rest my case counselor...now hand your money over so you can see how amazing this dynamic trio is.
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. My first time at Exact Motorsports was an amazing experience. John and Sandy work great together and give excellent prices, and I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my Z but John. He was so helpful and taught me a few things about my z32 that I didn’t even know about. Plus they have a restroom and a waiting area, and their couches are mad comfy I almost fell asleep. Without a doubt I’ll be bringing my Z here again if a job is too hard for me to work on.
They know what they're doing. Brought my 2013 BRZ in for the 105K service. Sandy went through what's needed, matched what the manual said. John test drove the car to make sure. All done within the estimated $ and time.
They do great and detailed work for a fair and reasonable price. They performed a clutch and flywheel replacement on my car and I would not hesitate to bring my vehicles here again.
I had no expectation about them, since other high rating shops are paid for the reviews.
I called the shop today to get a second opinion regarding my car's oil leak, since the other mechanic was charging me $4,800 to repair a 98 Camry. Sandy advised me to just save my money to get another car. She told me that my car would still run well as long as I regularly check the temperature and oil level. Overall she was helpful, knowledgeable, and honest.
I did not want to just take advantage of her advice, therefore I'm leaving a five star review as a return.
John is a consummate professional. Coming from someone who has built and engineered a couple of high horsepower street / race cars (one 760 HP Z and the other 1,320 HP GT-R), I admire John's overall knowledge, problem solving ability, attention to detail, and craftsmanship. John also serves as a trusted advisor to me which I really appreciate. He's also honest, fair, and a joy to work with.
Several years ago I payed 6200 to have an engine built and installed into my old Honda. What I got instead was a engine that was not rebuilt correctly. It had FRM sleeves and exact had a 3rd party do the rebuild. They used the incorrect process on the FRM sleeved block. It lasted just over 14k miles before the Piston rings failed. Just outside the warranty window. Be careful with this shop. He was not helpful when I started having issues prior to the engine fully giving out.
I paid cash with card and still have the receipt with the total on it. The issue was not the injectors it was the oil was leaking past the rings and fouling the spark plugs. A shop pulled the head off and all the cylinder walls had major scoring. Useless block and all you did say"after this repair that's it warranty over"
Very Honest shop and nothing get better than that!! Great customer service and highly recommend. Just had my 2004 Is300 serviced and they did a real professional job. Great prices as well!!.. Happy customer here!!
The only place I would go.. I have been going there for the past 15+ years. Excellent service and the most important aspect - total honesty ! I would highly recommend.
