We came in towards the end of the day for a new battery. We hoped and prayed that there were two people on staff, so we could get our battery replaced. The cold weather had killed our battery and we had already waited an hour and a half for roadside assistance. Jose let us know how much the battery would be and change it quickly for us! Thank you much Jose, you are our hero!
Matt the Manager is the best!! He literally saved me when my alternator went out on my F250, hooked me up with a mechanic nearby to install it and got me on my way in the amount of time it took to get lunch. He did it with expertise, timeliness and compassion for my situation! He diagnosed perfectly with his testing and definitely knows what he is doing. He is a manager there and runs a great shop! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with them!! Will be my go to auto parts shop!!

I live and spend most of my time in Santa Barbara.
I've gone to a number of auto parts stores in SB and in Santa Maria.
I've had good experiences and some not so good experiences in those towns.
One day I was staying in Buelton for a few days and needed a repair.
I went into the Buelton O'Reilly auto parts store and quickly found out a few things
1. Amazing customer service
2. Excellent auto parts knowledge
These people know what they are talking about and that's important when your trying to get your car repaired

Sam and Matt are awesome, they helped me troubleshoot a problem over the phone while I was broken down on the 101 and even helped get me the part delivered that evening.
I purchased a battery charger at another O'Reilly store a little over 1 year ago. It broke and this store replaced it with no problem whatsoever (I was able to show them the old one). Very polite, helpful, an courteous.
Update 10/21/2024: Purchased a new battery for my Silverado pickup.The installation was very tricky, and some structural pieces had to be removed to get the old bakery out and the new one in. Francisco, the Asst Mgr, did an outstanding job! This business has treated me very well!
Always happy and helpful employees. If they dont have a part in stock, they can usually get it for me the same day or the next. My go-to for most of my vehicle maintenance and repairs. Highly recommend this store. Seems like our Buellton store is better than most I have been to.
Good customer service depending who helps you. If you get the manager to help you he is awesome and super helpful. If you get another associate that’s a different story. Went to exchange a battery that I had bought the night before that was not working. (Knew it was the battery cause I used another battery and the car started fine) he tested it and said it was a good battery and had an attitude about exchanging it. Dude chill it’s not your battery and that’s what the receipt/warranty is for so calm down! Exchanged the battery and the replacement worked perfectly. The customer service this occasion left a bad impression tho.

The staff is extremely friendly. They helped us figure out how and where to get our oil pan replaced and saved our holiday in Solvang. Jose especially went above and beyond to help us. Would definitely recommend!

Nicholas went above & beyond to help us get our (almost impossible to reach) headlight bulb out & replaced! It was not an easy fix (like some cars) but he didn’t give up! So thankful ?? Excellent customer service!
This location has excellent selection, with very friendly staff. They had exactly what I needed (Red VHT Night Shades spray) for $8 less than anywhere else, including Amazon and Walmart.

Had some very good service while shopping in there. The gentleman brought my battery that needed to be charged in for me. No charge for the service of charging the battery. Overall I have very good luck when I shop there and everyone is very polite.
We were on the road driving north when our warning ⚠️came on to check oil immediately . We stopped at O'Reilly and the man who helped us said he couldn't just add oil because the problem was bigger than that. He did recommend an auto repair shop that took very good care of us and we were able to continue on our trip. Everyone at O'Reilly was so nice and friendly and being from out of town, they really were very kind in helping us.

DO YOUR RESEARCH! Manager openly admitted that they can sell parts WAY above what other O'Reilly's sell them for because there is no other market in Buellton. We called 4 other O'Reilly stores and the part was $50. Buellton store wanted $150 for the same part!! They are stealing from hard working Valley residents!
Friendly and helpful. I had an overheating problem and they loaned me pliers to fix the problem and supplied me water from the mop bucket station. In this day of self serve gas stations it was appreciated. Just off the freeway.
They will read your check engine light codes for free. Hopefully it will be something you can take care of yourself but even if not you'll know what you are getting into before you go to a mechanic.

Purchased a new battery David tested and said the battery was nearing end of life but tested ok. I decided to go ahead and buy a new one anyway. David said dont worry about your tools I'll install it for you. Very nice and personable young man. Great job and nice to talk to.
