The older lady who works in the office, her name is Laney, her attitude was absolutely disgusting. She blamed her attitude on me “because I had attitude first.” The moment my husband and I walked into that office she was huffing and puffing with the most disgusting demeanor. Customer service is NOT where she belongs. Nobody wants to walk into a tow yard and be treated like crap, we’re already going through it enough at that moment.

Very disrespectful dispatcher. Already waited 2+ hours for the tow, so decided to tall them and ask where they were at. Whole time, we were respectful and did not say anything rude. The dispatcher then threatened saying, “Okay, want me to cancel the tow now?” from asking a simple question. Very rude and disgusting. Here’s the best part: They never arrived. Waited 3 hours for nothing. Most plausible reason is because the dispatcher was in a such a petty mood and secretly canceled the tow after hanging up. Ended up having to get a completely different tow company after a great amount of time was wasted.

On July 15th, 2025 around 5:00 PM, I encountered a driver from Action Towing (CA license plate 32882S1) while driving through Los Banos, CA. The driver was extremely aggressive and reckless—tailgating my vehicle within inches, swerving toward my lane as if trying to cause a collision, and repeatedly cutting me off. It felt deliberate and intimidating, possibly due to a political bumper sticker on my car. I called the police to report his erratic and dangerous behavior. As he exited, he made obscene hand gestures that were not only unprofessional but completely inappropriate and threatening. I would strongly caution others against using this company. If this is the kind of person they trust behind the wheel, it raises serious concerns about their hiring practices and safety standards.

I got a flat tire on the highway and had to pull over. It cost me $195 to get towed 4 miles. It took ~45 min to get picked up, and they coordinated with highway patrol to let me safely get out of the car and into the tow truck. The person who towed me was chill

Not much to say other than Kevin from SSF gave 5 star service from the moment he greeted me to the moment he pulled away. Friendly, professional, courteous… this man is the gold standard for customer service.

Dispatcher was condescending and disrespectful, very unprofessional. Threatened to hang up on me because I was asking when they would show up. I ended up using a different service. Don't waste your time with these people.

Five stars for the tow truck driver who was extremely professional, pleasant, and helpful as we got ourselves out of a multi car wreck on the highway. Negative one hundred stars for the wretched woman who works at the office. If you know someone whose day you want to ruin, bring them here. Modern day Karens have nothing on this lady. My family had just gotten out of a highway crash where an out of control truck hydroplaned, spun, and slammed into my car, which not only totaled it but I watched in horror as the truck slammed into the side where my infant sat in his car seat. Thankfully we were all safe. We had been stuck in this wreckage for over an hour; my baby was hungry and frightened. When we finally arrived at the tow company (who is still going to make a nice chunk of money from my insurance) she had the galls to shout at me to stay by the door in the huge office. If it was not raining outside I would have rather hung out outside to avoid interacting with this unpleasant person. She was incompetent, as she had no comprehension ability even as I explained to her what had happened to me. She talked down on me even though my business was going to make her next payroll. She had no compassion when I told her I needed a place to sit and feed my baby; she told me to stand by the door never mind an infant that needed to be extricated from his car seat, which was difficult in the narrow corridor by the door that I was granted, while her and her posse of two useless men kicked back their feet in the palatial office defending that the huge office space with three desks and tons of empty space was for employees, and customers had to stay by the door. It’s not a good look, fellas. Carve yourself a tiny space for your customers that isn’t by your door. You can afford it. It’s shocking that someone like her can work in this field, as I imagine she deals with people whose cars were freshly ruined and/or worse, even were hurt in the process. Talk about this woman rubbing salt to the injury!!! It started as a great experience with the tow driver, made extremely sour by the awful woman. Come here if you want to ruin your day with her ill manners and incompetence!

I recently broke a ball joint and AAA sent me a tow from your company. Hector arrived within 15 minutes which surprised me as usually whenever I needed a tow it was like an hour or so. He got my truck on the rollback, got me home and we got it back in my garage. Overall, happy experience! Thanks Hector!

Fred was not helpful. My less than 2 years old car battery purchased from AAA does not charge up anymore, and it is still under warranty. Instead of replacing the battery, he advised me to buy a 12V battery charger to charge up my malfunctioning battery, insisting that it is what everyone do because car batteries do not charge while you drive around the whole day even for long distances. He insisted every car owner must buy this charger, and he himself has one. So he simply jump-started my car and left, knowing full well that is not the solution. Tomorrow morning, I will need the battery jumped again. Complete waste of time.

They are the police designated tow company and charge ridiculous fees. Tow $ + storage (per day) and gate fees if outside office hours.

My car got towed to there property and there charging me an outstanding fee to get my car out , and I’m low income and a new born baby , and can’t afford to pay I talk to supervisor there and they can’t lower the price for low income when other companies does as of the impound would. I would not recommend nobody here at all. Not helpful during the pandemic time

Was slightly irate that I had to pay over $500 to get my beater car outta here. I left my car parked for over 72 hours whilst obeying the mandatory stay at home order... Was even more furious that I was led to my vehicle by an employee who refused to wear a mask. Upon walking in, the receptionist swiftly put on a mask, while the unmasked tow truck driver glanced up from his phone and kept his feet on the desk. I hope the ssfpd cancels their contract with this place.

I was in a serious car accident and my car was towed to Action Towing. After I was released from hospital I stopped by there to collect my belongings. Two items were missing, my telephone holder and my fast track pass. I reported it to John and he said he will note it. That doesn't get my personal items back . Is a shame that one of his employees stole my items and that owner is doing nothing about it. I should get reimbursed for these 2 items. It would be the right thing to do. Obviously customer satisfaction is not significant to them.

Driver showed up, left because tow would take him over his hrs. 40mim later another driver shows up loads my motorcycle improperly. Only put straps pulling forward onto the winch of the flat bed which was Aprox 6” off the floor of the bed. Not proper support to prevent bike jumping over the winch, loosening the straps and dumping my bike. This is after the guy rubs his boot all over my powdercoated primary scuffing it looking for the kickstand. Tells me he knows what he is doing and proceeds to kick my kick stand to tryn support my bike bending the kickstand.
