Gianfranco Clavero is not to be trusted. He clearly likes to rip people off for doing basically no work. He way over charged for a jumpstart and said we were “paying for how long it took him to drive here” when the person who answered the phone said they charge for the amount of time on site. He also had us pay with Venmo which is unprofessional. I don’t understand how people can live with themselves knowing they are ripping people off. Don’t come here with your service needs.

had the same distance tow 5 months ago, same
location, same van, same issue (radiator leak) And it was NO MORE than $200...
but $900?!? my whole department couldn't believe it lol. Stay away from these guys.
UPDATE: I guess police are involved now? An officer called me saying these guys were being investigated
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, in my opinion these people are the most dishonest group of people I have ever had to deal with, I was quoted $250 to tow my car from San Mateo to Hayward, but found a local shop to take it to (4.5 miles away) gave my credit card to the driver while I talked to the mechanic, to later find out that I had been charged $ 250 as if the service provided had been that of the original tow, called their offices and was told that the driver, not the company, decide on site what the charges should be, and that the only thing they could do is let me talk to the driver, what type of business are this people running? lesson learned, don't make the same mistake I did.
I called Palm Way towing after Calling a few other places they were very quick to respond and open up my vehicle (since I had locked my keys in there).The driver that had come to unlock my vehicle was awesome,he was very courteous and quick!..Thank you Palmway Towing!
I was looking for a local company to come help tow me home. I googled some tow companies and foud Palmway Towing. Luckily they were fast, affordable and the dispatch was friendly while helping me, so thank you guys!
I call today 4:45 to tow my car home and the person said driver will arrive 45minuts, the towing truck arrive 6:30 late nearly 1 hour,. When I call the person said based on the mileage 4 miles, they charge me 200-250dollar, while after towed home, the driver ask for $300! After I complained, he charged me $280 for 4 mile towing.
The driver apparently belongs to another company and said he contracted with this company,.
Battery dead after parking in the garage for some time. I called Palmway for a jump starter service, they sent a guy for help after only 45 minutes waiting. The service guy was very friendly and did the job professionally.
Extremely unprofessional as being told 45-1hr for a tow turned into almost 3hrs of waiting without any simple courtesy call to say the driver is late. Trying to call the dispatcher results in a male response to hold before you can respond and then you are waiting for 15 min so we had to call almost 10 times back and forth to speak to a female. Was told $185 for the tow and then the bill came to $269 which is a ripoff and scam as the driver stated he will lower the bill if we paid cash while we are in an area far from any bank. The driver has no remorse for being late and chuckled at the fact the dispatchers put you on hold for so long and never call to state the driver is late which validates the unprofessionalism of this company. The high star rating is misleading and will never use this service ever again.
From beginning to the end of their service, you feel like someone truly cares about you. They made a bad experience a lot easier and bearable. I needed a tow after blowing a tire recently. They came right away to my rescue. The driver was extremely friendly and courteous, and the rate of their service was extremely fair. Satisfied! Please keep what you are doing, and thanks for the help.
They're not a towing company. I only called them because it was pouring rain and they were the closest one. The estimated time was 30-40 minutes with the rain. The truck arrived over an hour later and I expected a tow truck that said Palmway Towing. However it was a completely different towing company, such that I didn't think they were there for me until the driver called my cell. I found out from my tow truck driver that Palmway calls other tow trucks for you and charges double for this service. My advice is to invest time in finding a towing service you trust or go with a recommended one from your insurance.
Had my car radiator blew out alled them up and no other than God himself arrived to the scene quickly to save me.

Don’t call them!!! They are very bad people and bad service. They just removed Camry from my trailer, 35 minutes work and wanted to charge me 600$. Finally after hour of fighting they charged me 300$. It was too much too. I got awful service
Recounting my honest experience of what happened this afternoon. My dad’s classic car stopped on a busy intersection in downtown San Mateo. He called this place since it was the closest to my location. The company, being two blocks away after he google the location, told my dad 5 minutes. When I called after 10 minutes they told me 30-40 minutes. The ladies on the line were snappy, unprofessionally toned and not pleasant to work with. You would think they would have better costumer service knowing that the people who call them are in dire situations not knowing where to turn. A tow truck showed up an hour later. They are basically a dispatcher, or middle man of sorts, that can’t set prices since whoever picks up the job they can’t do shows up and can charge what they want. This company in turn will take 50% just for bringing them the business. The lady dispatcher couldn’t even tell me the color or name of the tow truck (I’m sure they passed me without seeing me) and just kept calling them “her guy”. The tow truck comes by and hooks up the car to the flat bed and calls his boss after for a price I should have asked how much before hand but wasn’t thinking since I was just so thankful to get away from the scolling faces shaming me for my stalled car in the way. He told me it would be $300 for 2 miles away. It was that much since it was a flat bed and they came all the way from San Francisco, which the dispatchers made us believe they were coming from their lot a few blocks away. We felt swindled. $175 just to take it off the tow instead of towing it home. We could pick it up later. The driver was compassionate and just doing what was told. Horrible experience I wouldn’t want anyone to go through. You feel so vulerable in that moment especially being around people trying to get home and giving you dirty looks due to troubling their busy day with your inconvenient car in the way. I would recommend having a tow truck company’s number who use their own “guys”. That way the tow company won’t feel the need to double their price since this company will take half anyway.
I got into an accident and needed a tow. I called these people because of their reviews. They gave me an estimate of $140 on the phone, which I agreed to.
Of course, once my car was on the back of the tow truck, the driver said he had to "check with his boss the price", and suddenly I was being told it would be $350. This was to tow a compact car (that could still roll just fine) two miles, mind you. This was also info I gave over the phone when I got my initial estimate.
Do you want to do business with a company that kicks people while they're down? I sure don't. I hope you don't either.
Our helper was GUY today multiple people tried to assist us with a jumper box. However no one was successful. GUY was very helpful and very amazing, awesome service and totally worth it. THANK YOU so much GUY for assisting us.
I'm recommending these guys as they provide an excellent tow service. I've recently experienced other tow company's for some car issues..and these guys were the best. The job was tough--my vehicle was completely stalled- battery out..no juice..with automatic key entry, which wasn't functioning.
The vehicle was wedged between cars- inside an awkward garage. Although difficult...my tow driver (Ikar) expertly navigated the situation and was creative about how to remove my vehicle safely and also to get it outside to be able to get to a service shop. Ikar also was helpful regarding arranging a couple tow trucks from the company- to safely tow my vehicle- including also answering some queries on the insurance matter and obligations of the policy.
Overall a good experience...the Dispatcher was thorough, communicative on the arrival-logistics...and Ikar responsive/easy to work with regarding the tough tow job that was completed.
