Obviously one of the most comprehensive alcohol collections in the bay area. One of the interesting things too about this place is that you can get products shipped here that they sell online. So, while every Total wine doesn't stock their entire inventory in each location, if there's one store that has it but it's really far away, you can order it and they'll ship it to your local location
The staff is also really helpful, even if they're not super friendly, they'll definitely work hard to find something if the website says they have it in stock.
An unbelievable selection of spirits, wine and beer with reasonable prices. A must visit if you like exploring new bottles or are trying to source something you don’t typically find in other stores.
So I just want to give a shout out to an employee. There was an employee collecting carts outside when I walked by and could tell from her body language she was a bit uncomfortable when talking to this much older creepy man. He was asking inappropriate questions about her marital status. Just yucky.
HUGE shout-out to the older man employee with glasses. I wish I got his name! I told a different employee who just brushed it off and couldn't be bothered to even check, but this older gentleman went into protective mode and went to check on his coworker immediately.
If you're looking for a drink, there's something for everyone here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I always get good recommendations when I'm looking to try a new whiskey, of which there are a million choices. I also don't usual dl membership apps, but I do like how this one helps you catalog everything you've tried and like whether you liked it or not.
Went there for a wine class. The gentleman running it was a delight and the class was well worth it! After the course, the instructor even helped us find some new things to our taste that weren't a part of the course. The other employees we interacted with were all very nice too. I can highly recommend this location!
I came into the store to buy a few things with my friend. She had forgotten her ID in the car therefore she walked away from me when I was walking towards the register. My friend was already by the door when I walked up to the register, and Eric (the cashier) wanted to see her ID. I know they have a policy to check IDs of everyone in line but she was nowhere near me. The only reason he even knew we were together was because he has been watching us since we were shopping at the nearby aisle. Anyway, my friend had to go to her car and grab her ID. Eric Relax. Did all that for what? She wasn’t even in line. You don’t get paid enough to be acting like this.
Roman was the absolute worst and most unprofessional employee, very disrespectful and terrible example of leadership. Roman and the staff were extremely disrespectful and made me feel unwelcome from the moment I walked in. Their rude behavior and lack of professionalism were shocking. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and respectful environment.
A huge collection of wines and other drinks from across the globe. They have vodka, margarita, beers homegrown and others, whiskey and many more..vintage drinks. Then there are mixers, cocktails, mock tails, munchers etc. then small 100 ml bottles for carry on in flights and or as souvenirs. Nice store.,
Just like many other comments I’ve seen, I had a really bad customer experience at total wine due to them being unnecessarily strict regarding IDs. I went here with my girlfriend to buy some whisky as a housewarming gift and she didn’t bring her ID. We go to checkout and they won’t sell it to us even though she had multiple pictures of her ID and passport with matching dates that show she’s obviously over 21. They still won’t sell it to us. She’s pissed and doesn’t want to go back, so we go home, she stays at home but I go back to go buy the whisky. The bottle is kind of hard to find so I needed to buy it from here. I go back and they still won’t let me buy it over an hour later even though I’m by myself! So now I’m even more pissed and I go back to my house again and we go back together just to prove a point. We get there (my girlfriend is in her PJs at this point she wasn’t planning on going back out) and have both IDs and they finally sell it to us. An hour of our time wasted and just an embarrassing experience.

1 stare for rewards program. It is one of the most pitiful and least rewarding programs of any retailer I've experienced.
For years I would enter my telephone number at checkout, expecting a "reward" to pop up on the card reader but that NEVER occurred. However, a new cashier recently advised that at checkout, upon customer request, the clerk needs to manually swipe a code to determine the rewards amount. He also advised the reward points expire within 90-days of purchase.
I feel the rewards program taints the store as a data mining program that offers little to the customer in return.
Wonderful selection of beer, wine, and alcohol along with everything that you would need for a cocktail party! The deals on Winery Direct wines are great, along with curbside pickup or same-day free delivery!! Total Wine is my go-to store for all of my libations!
The selection of drinks and cigars are great! I almost always find the best deals here compared to other liquor stores. The customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get someone who is nice and other times the cashier will rush you and be a little rude. If you can get past that, the drink selection is worth the gamble.
Fantastic selection for a good price. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helped me step out of my comfort zone w some select gifts for friends. Better description than most wine tasting rooms these days. Thank you Kate!
Wow it was amazing. The people who work there each and everyone is super nice and knowledgeable. The selection is outstanding. I think they have everything and good prices. I'm actually excited to put my mixology skills back in action. (Seriously bartended for years and lost my mojo)

Great selection of beverages. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable about their products. They provided me with great suggestions. Was looking for a good Champagne and they showcased great selections.
Of course, all employee always greets loudly whenever I visit.I would like to praise Richard, who always checks the stock and location of the shelves quickly,and Grant who helps me with detailed explanations of my bottle.
All employees are on good,friendly, and helpful.They not only work hard but also approach all guests kindly before they need help.
This place is ginormous! Huge selection of items from a spectrum of prices to taste. I love the mini whisky tasting bottles. Good way to try a drink without having to buy a big bottle.
I found the prices somewhat reasonable. The Sahale snacks were cheaper than target!
Amazing wine and liquor store. Warehouse is the better word. Everything you always wanted to know about wine, you can learn at special workshops here. Check it out. The selection is simply amazing.
I purchased 2 tickets at a cost of $20 each to taste 8 different Grand Cru Champagnes and I couldn't have been more pleased. At the end of our tasting, we purchased a case of of something simply amazing. Cheers!
