I called at noon about a slow leak from an object lodged in my tire, and the staff was incredible, fitting me in within the hour. I mentioned a strict time constraint—I needed to pick up my child from school—and they immediately prioritized my repair.
From the moment I walked in, I was met with welcoming and friendly service. They immediately got my car on the lift. As I waited (and got some work done on my laptop in their lobby), I was impressed by the staff's professionalism and patience. The shop had a steady flow of customers, and I particularly noticed their kind and helpful interactions with several senior customers who had concerns about technology—the team took the time to explain everything clearly and gently.
My car was ready in under an hour, exactly as promised. The service was a model of efficiency: the service person had the staff ringing me up as he brought my car around. They clearly explained the work done on my tire and got me on my way quickly.
I'm glad I took a chance based on the shop's more recent, positive reviews. Whatever changes they've made, they're working! I have to say, as far as customer services goes, THIS LOCATION IN SAN MATEO on B Street is the BEST! The employees actually care about their customers. Can't say enough. The also communicate in a timely manner. Wish I could give them 10 stars! They remember your name, discuss clearly about what may be needed for your vehicle. Prices are also great. Highly recommend this location for your vehicle services including tires and rotations/alignment.

Also, the manager, Michael, is excellent. He clearly puts a GREAT amount of effort into running the place 7 days a week. If you need oil, tires, or repairs, this is the place to go!
5 stars for my go to 5-star treatment. E extremely skilled and knowledgeable crew from front to tech, they work efficiently like clockwork together. I always make sure to remember and give as much information as possible so they can better give me my best options to the outcomes. Communicative always, even when confirming appointments. It’s my favorite shop, especially for when I need multiple repairs, they have a waiting area and in the heart of the restaurants so you can wander around while you wait also.
Came here this morning in a rush because I got a flat tire on the San Mateo bridge. I thought honestly I was going to be here for a while so I was actually going to leave the tire and come back but Michael asked me how far I was going. When I told him where I worked he got concerned and told me I should just wait because I couldn't do more than 50 mph on my spare tire. I really needed to get to work fast, we're a person short so I hesitated. Michael saw the look of concern on my face and again voiced his concern about the spare, he assured me the whole process would take about an hour. I was shocked when he approached to tell me I would out of there in about 5 minutes! What was supposed to take at least over an hour to do, took 30 minutes!! Michael and his crew are awesome! Professional, courteous and above all fast!! Thank you Michael for all your help!!

I recently went to this shop for a set of new tires and a wheel alignment, and I left really impressed with both the quality of work and the customer service. In particular, Mike stood out. He was straightforward, very helpful, and took the time to explain what was being done and why it was needed. For new tire purchases, the staff will understand your driving requirements and recommend the appropriate tires. No pressure tactics. They will also discuss the technical details about the tire. The staff will also discuss the alignment report.
Even when busy they will spend time with you to ensure you receive good service.

I had no choice but to use this shop at the time, it was my only option. My tire had blown out, and my car was towed to my friend's shop late at night. Unfortunately, they informed me that they no longer offered tire replacement services.
I left my car there and went to work. When I returned after my shift to pick up the vehicle, I was shocked to find the entire interior covered in dirt, smudges, and fingerprints. The staff had searched through my car looking for the tire lock key, carelessly going through all my belongings and putting everything back in complete disarray.
Worse still, I noticed that my special tire caps were missing. After inflating the right-side tires, they failed to properly secure them. Even now, the tire pressure across all four tires remains uneven. Overall, I would give this shop zero stars if possible. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.

This terrible service quality is just unbelievable. Back in March, I had a tire replaced, and not only did the so-called professional technicians turn my entire car upside down just to find my wheel lock key, but when I got the car back, nothing inside was in its proper place.
Worse, the whole interior was covered in black handprints from the technicians, filthy and smelly. What’s even more infuriating is that the tire pressure is still uneven to this day: 35 PSI on the right and 33 on the left.
To top it all off, the technician managed to lose two of my custom tire valve caps on the right side. And today, I even found out that the system now displays an error related to the tire they replaced, meaning their work caused a system issue.
It’s such a shame I can’t give this shop zero stars or an even worse rating. If this were the last tire shop on Earth, I’d rather give up driving. Completely unprofessional, careless, and irresponsible.
I strongly do not recommend this tire shop. If your tire blows out, I’d rather you push your car a few blocks to find another place than rely on this one.

6. System malfunction caused by service: Vehicle system now displays an error related to the replaced tire
7. Unprofessional behavior: Overall service lacked care, responsibility, and attention to detail 8. Extremely poor customer experience: No respect for the car or the customer’s belongings
9. Untrustworthy: Their work directly resulted in new issues rather than solving problems
I had an outstanding experience at Wheel Works thanks to Mike Gonzalez and his crew. They did an amazing job with my alignment—professional, efficient, and clearly knowledgeable. Mike took the time to explain the process and made sure everything was done right. You can tell he genuinely cares about providing top-notch service.
