A good place to go for those they need help. I'll be going there for the past 25 years

I went to get financial assistance. Yuliana, the social worker, was kind and knowledgeable. The receptionist was also very nice. I went to their office last year on Bay Rd. They moved to this new office last October and it is more spacious. Definitely would recommend.

It’s a very good place if you’re new to town and looking for some alternative housing or to get the resources you need to find affordable housing around this really expensive part of town

I am incredibly grateful for the invaluable assistance Ana provided me with during a challenging time. She not only helped me navigate the complexities of financial aid but also went above and beyond to ensure I received the support I desperately needed. From our first meeting, Ana showed genuine compassion and dedication to helping me. She listened attentively to my situation and immediately took action to explore every avenue of financial assistance available to me. Her knowledge and expertise in navigating bureaucratic processes were evident, and she skillfully guided me through each step with patience and clarity. What truly sets Ana apart is her unwavering commitment to her clients' well-being. When I felt hopeless and overwhelmed, Ana was there to offer encouragement and practical solutions. She didn't just assist me with paperwork; she restored my faith and optimism by showing me that there were options and resources available. Ana's proactive approach and responsiveness were outstanding. She always followed up promptly and ensured that I understood every aspect of the process. Her genuine care and empathy made me feel supported and valued throughout the entire journey. Thanks to Ana's dedication and perseverance, I successfully received the financial aid I needed. Working with her was a positive and empowering experience, and I cannot recommend her enough. Ana is more than a case manager; she is a compassionate advocate who truly cares about her clients' well-being. I am incredibly thankful to have had her by my side during this challenging time.

The old lady, who is always wearing a white hat, is soooo rude, and sometimes she asks the other people workign there, to speak in English so Latin people "do not understand" we some of us speak English ma'am

I tried to get some financial aid but I couldn’t get it. The worst thing is that they accepted my application, documents and told we’ll review it in couple days but reviewed more than the month. I called, went to office to many times but not successful. At the end that told me sorry we can’t help you. I’m really disappointed they’re so disrespectful, unpunctual…after all I was evicted. ‘Thank you’ for unprofessional, unpunctual service!

I thank God they are near. Without them I could not afford to eat healthy foods. The price of veges, fruit, eggs, milk and everything else has really taken a toll on my fixed income. When I hit the lottery they will get a very large donation from me!!!!!!!

Fve stars for the Food Service workers. A Two Star for the Assessment lady, and the Office Phone people. I was told to come see them and they could help me and my Son. When I got there, I was stopped in my tracks by the Assessment lady,. She told me of the process and what I needed to bring her. After informing her of our deplorable living situation, and other issues we face, this lady told me and I quote," You should look for a place to live in another city." How Rude.

The employees here are helpful. I have dropped off fresh produce here, and while the hours may be limited, they do good work, and I am thankful for them.

Only reason I'm editing this and changing the star rating is because of Mr. Gio. He has made every trip to the Samaritan house feel very welcoming and positive. I appreciate him for his dedication and hard work! I think after my issues last year, I was very bitter about the Samaritan house. And every time I stop by I'm less frustrated at them as a whole. I can't rate the Samaritan house for the unprofessional and unorganized team they had assisting me with housing last year. So good job to you all and thank you for your patience and support all year long.

Called to drop off nice barely worn and new clothes which should take 5 minutes at the most. They only drop off by appointment and don’t have any time for 2 weeks? For a 5 minute drop off? Really sad.

Rushed in there to get some food, because 2022. I got there at 3:59 and the man ignored me for a minute and then closed the gate. entirely ignored me when I tried to get his attention. Finally I got out out of the car and said excuse me I've been here for a minute now can I please go in the line he said it was four o clock and that he was closed... super rudely GEORGE should not work if he doesn't want to work. then called the manager who said oh yeah he knows George but that there wasn't much food anyways and continued to talk over me when I said how thats besides the point. Horrible, Ive had better customer service at the DMV

Had an 8ft high pallet almost impossible to move. Got it on the lift gate . The thing started to tilt forward once I brought it down. But the guy who guided me into the parking lot jump in super quick to save the frieght. He knew exactly what to do. And you'd be surprised how many people just let stuff fall over but this guy really helped divert a disaster. Missed the stop on the first pass, but it's a narrow alley in the middle of a 3way intersection exit is straight on in, then left and around the tight corner. It's a tough one. But staff willing to help.

I have been a lot within the last 3 years and I am grateful to have had help from Life Moves and Samaritan House to help me stay out of the cold wet weather making sure I always had something to eat, to getting my Mainstream housing voucher. I'm very excited to move in to my apartment on Friday. Thank you Lynette and Miranda.

Amazing organization. Loved volunteering here. Employees and volunteers help feed the most vulnerable folks in the county, especially the elderly. If you’re looking to help, visit their website to see what they’re in most dire need of.

I had such a hard time asking for help but they made me feel secure. Got more help than I even knew I could, allowing me to get ahead. I'm feeling ready to pick myself up with the help I got from them..

The Samaritan House has a lot of services to help low income families. They serve dinners on a daily basis, they have a free clothing closet for children under 18, there's a food pantry, you could volunteer and you get a case manager to assist with self sufficiency. Check out website for all of the services they provide.

When a person is looking for help. It's difficult to ask for help, so you don't lose your home. But I don't have all the required documents. So I knew I wouldn't be able to quantify for help.

Staff is nice and friendly. Finding parking can be crazy at times. The bread pantry use to be good but can't seem to find any good breads every time I've gone. Kids closet has a good variety of clothes for kids.
