Elaine is an awesome person and took care to help me when I took my car in. Her staff was courteous and did such good work. They went above and beyond. I got my car back and the clutch is so good that I have to get used to it. I'm so glad I let them fix the tie rods because my car is like brand new again. It's a pleasure to drive and let me tell you before this it was not. I paid a garage to replace my clutch and I went for the cheap and I shouldn't have. I learned my lesson. It's nice to have it restored to its former glory. My car is a 1993 Miata and if any of you own Miatas this is the place to take them! They work on Japanese cars and they know Miatas. It's good to be able to depend on somebody these days.

Last year, my Honda Accord needed AC refrigerant recharge, which might due to a leakage. They charged me $600+ to fix it. I waited a whole day, and they did recharge but didn't patch the leakage because they couldn't find it. It is just ridiculous!

I always appreciate the fast, professional service at this shop. The mechanics are excellent and the front office staff feel like friends--I found myself giving Elaine a hug when I picked up my car because she's so caring above and beyond the requirements of her job.

It was my first time to A+ Japanese. Right from the beginning Allie and Elaine took care of me and walked me through their process. Lyfted me to and from my house. My car was done at the appointed time. Couldn't have been happier. Thanks so much.

You pay a large premium for the service here. Both my sons think I’m ridiculous spending the premium. Price compare around if you are cost conscious.

The service here is top tier. Friendly, professional, transparent, and all work was documented. No surprises! Photos of everything sent to my phone clearly explained the issues with my car and had me feeling completely in the loop and confident with the repairs. Warranties available too. Highly recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for a straightforward and honest experience.

Brian is super competent and helpful - great customer service. Charging for initial inspection in full when I paid ~ $1400 for repairs + $170 for oil change is not optimal - should give at least some credit if not full credit to the final bill. Also, adding a full charge for credit card fee (3%) does not seem competitive. So, price is a little high but still a good experience.

So I came here last minute - I thought my alternator was failing and I needed to get it check before the holidays. Luckily, they managed to take a look. I really wasn't looking to spend alot besides the alternator being fixed, but Brian was SO helpful in helping me with the diagnostic as well as trying to figure out what was wrong.
Ultimately, I did not get any work done as I had no problems, thanks to the tech (I think Miguel) who worked on it. Brian was so helpful and understanding my concerns, and even helped with the diagnostic charges and a Lyft ride from my work to the shop.
Overall, I would totally go back to them again. They gave great customer service, listened to my concerns and didn't try to pull a fast one. :) Thanks again!Nov 22, 2025 -

Brian and April were extremely helpful! My car’s roof was leaking on a rainy day and they were able to get me in the same day. My car was done sooner than expected. Communication was great! Service was great! Definitely recommend A+!

Needed a new catalytic converter and O2 sensor after they got stolen. Albert was always one step ahead and took care of everything well ahead of schedule. The whole team is honestly super polite and helpful, and will keep you in the loop every step of the way

I had an excellent experience at this auto repair shop! I needed help changing my engine air filter and spoke with Brian to schedule a quick walk-in. He got me in right away — no waiting at all. Once I arrived, Brian personally helped me out, and Anthony (Production Manager) and Jacob (Technician) took care of everything quickly and professionally.
Since the work was minimal, they didn’t even charge me for labor, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to find a team this honest, friendly, and efficient. I really appreciated the great service and will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommend!Oct 28, 2025 -
Shady sales regarding tires. Called specifically requesting a Michelin defender tire. The guy texted me back, saying they don’t even make the tire in that size (lie) so they do not have it and offered me a cheaper alternative that was still priced like the Michelin tire. I won’t include his name because I don’t believe in bashing people individually, but come on, dude. Not only that but Americas Tire has both the Michelin tire in stock and is $400 cheaper than their alternative option. Definitely do business elsewhere.

A+ was courteous, fast, and well priced. They gave me info on what service was needed right away, and what may need to be addressed in the near future. Both Elaine and Albert were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend A+ Japanese Auto!

Dropped my car off for an oil change and for an inspection to address a rattling noise from my engine. A Lyft ride is generously dispatched for me to get home. I am promptly alerted that my car is ready at the time promised and that the proposed inspection fee would be waived as the hood latch only needed lubrication. I am grateful for the honesty and commitment to customer service, what a delightful experience. My car sounds new again!!!!!
I had my water pump replaced here back in December and have had no issues. My mom used to bring her car here for repairs when I was kid. A+ is top notch in terms of customer service, quality of work, and value. Pretty sweet to see they haven’t lost those values over time and have figured out a way to make their business model resilient. The techs in the garage are always friendly and helpful. I’ve been taking my Lexus here for over 8 years. They’re transparent, explain work in detail, and always honor their warranty on repairs and tires. My last visit was for oil, tires, and alignment. Knowledgeable shop, don’t be afraid to ask questions on any recommendations they give.

A+ Japanese Auto Repair has consistently provided excellent service. I value most their honest communication style - letting me know what details require immediate attention vs what details should just be monitored for future attention vs what fixes I should have done at the dealer because it’s under warranty. And I’ll gladly bring my cars back to for that future fix because I’ve never felt duped or pressured to make a questionable repair.

Had a leak in one of my tires. Obviously though I had a puncture due to a nail or sth as I was losing about 5 PSIs per day. Brought my car in to have the tire repaired and A+ did not find anything visually. So they had to remove the tire and do a dunk test in water to check the leak ~$16. They did the test and round no leaks put the tire pressure cap I had was actually causing the leak. A+ replaced the tire pressure cap and all I had to pay was the $16 dunk test. I would definitely be back for my auto repairs in the future.

Thank you so much A+ Japanese Auto Repair for your excellent service! I just worked a 12 night shift prior and then noticed the engine light appear and wanted to see if they could let me drop off the car at such short notice and Elaine answered and was great! Once I entered everyone was so pleasant and welcoming and Elaine let me know that my car would be done in a few hours and they gave me a Lyft back home. I loved how they had a clickable link for me to check up on any updates on my car and reports. Elaine explained it all very well and said my car should be covered under the Kia warranty and if they have a problem with it that I can call her on the phone and she could talk to them! Overall it was a great experience with such awesome efficient service. A+++ !

Had a small repair. Elaine and staff are super friendly and they took care of the issue in a day. Because of my close proximity they offered ride share service to and from the shop. Very convenient. Great experience and thrilled they are so close by!

I researched this place and found them to be quite good in reviews. From my first time experience with them, they seem good in some things, but also quite in need of improvement on other things (as all people should progress for). Got my car worked on by them for a used car inspection to see if there were any issues the dealer did not find or discovered. Got some work done after. When I tried asking about my status of the car with the used car inspection and the work done after, we played some phone tag due to both of us getting busy during the work week. Although that was not an issue, when they reached out to me, there were no voicemail information on the status of my work orders. They told me just to call them back. Hence, the continuation of phone tag if we were both busy. I was able to pick up my car after hours though when all the work has been done. When I inspected the car, I noticed a wheel nut loose, but they fixed it the next day and provided me a ride back to pick up my car. However, they charged me again with the service that was done to my car when I already have paid. So, I had to call one more time to ask them about things related to my car. They of course resolved it. One thing I did not ask was for them to change my front license plate. I will be replacing that for I am a little embarrassed repping this establishment after all that happened. Do appreciate the work they do. It’s just the organization of it all is what they need to work on. I got a 3-year warranty on the replaced parts so that’s a nice bonus. And the free shuttle back to your respective place is nice too. But not sure if I will be going back here again.
7/7/25 update: I visited A+ after my Honda dealership appointment. They were able to get me their own appointment without reservation to look over my vehicle pertaining to the serpentine belt since they replaced it last time. My experience was way better than before and I was pretty satisfied with the results. However, please do not clean my steering wheel next time for I do not like the stickiness residue it has left on it. 4 stars instead of one ⭐Jul 08, 2025 -
Elaine is the best. She spoke to me like a human being, not a robot regurgitating a script. This made me feel like she actually cared about the specifics of my vehicle, not just a sheet of repairs to check off. She explained to me what the problem was. Elaine had already earned my trust, but this just emphasized more so that this place was trustworthy.
Everyone I interacted with at A+ Japanese Auto Repair was respectful. The quality of work on the vehicle was exceptional. I could tell they were very thorough and tested the vehicle well after they made the repair to ensure it was fixed.
Every time I have brought my car in; A+ Auto has been very friendly and took care of my car quickly. I really appreciate their transparency and honesty. I didn't feel pressured or strong-armed into paying for upgrades or services that were unnecessary.

5/5 Excellent. They were able to take my vehicle in on very short notice and returned it to me in better condition. It was also for a service which wasn't listed on their website. So I was skeptical when first contacting them if they could even do it. However, my doubts quickly changed when I called and visited the shop.
I'd like to give special recognition to Robert. He was the primary representative I spoke and met with. I believe he does a fantastic job and gave superior customer support throughout the process. Robert was welcoming and kept me informed on my vehicle's status and at no time did I feel pressured or manipulated to make a decision I didn't want. I briefly spoke and met with others and they were friendly too, which is reflected in the company's high reviews.
A+ was a pleasant experience that I didn't expect. Based on that, I plan on being a repeat customer for check-ups or future vehicle questions. I will also recommend A+ to others.Feb 08, 2025 -
Sometimes, your vehicle isn't about you, but about the people and pets you transport in your vehicle. In our case, our Nissan Rogue is our dog Mollie's vehicle; she has been traveling to the beach at least four times a week for almost 10 years. Mollie is old and very arthritic; she has hip dysplasia such that we must lift her into her car with a sling. Her Nissan also shows much wear and tear inside because of her years of trips to the beach. However, her Nissan is the only vehicle in which she will ride, therefore we knew we needed to get her Nissan repaired when it broke down.
We initially had the vehicle towed to the dealership. After running diagnostics, they were not able to definitively confirm the problem.
We therefore had Mollie's Nissan towed to A+ Japanese Auto Repair. Manager Justin and the entire team at A+ took the time to listen to our concerns. Justin, in fact, conducted research and determined what he believed the issue to be. He and his team ordered the part needed, did required programming, and repaired Mollie's Nissan.
We are so happy! Mollie is ecstatic; she now has her vehicle back and is able to go to the beach again.
