this garage is great! alex the mechanic did my car promptly after dropping it off in the morning. and he took the time to explain things so i could understand how things work so i can care for my car. I recommend this to anyone and will come back for sure!
Adding to all the positive reviews here - Alex is the real deal and can work on older vehicles like mine (1987)…he is extremely knowledgeable and friendly - I highly recommend him if you have any issues / need maintenance on your car.
Alex is always so friendly and knowledgeable about his work. He'll happily talk through maintenance tips with you if you ask. I appreciate how quickly he looks at my car and explains the things he has worked on. He doesn't charge things randomly or suggests unnecessary repairs. At most he'll let you know about something to consider replacing in the future. It's a very small shop but he provides great service! I've been going to him for a couple years now.

Been bringing me vehicles to Alex for years. I trust him with anyone's vehicles. He's always there to help. He's honest and an excellent mechanic. Friendly and reliable, whatever your mechanical needs are, you should definitely see him first. He may be busy occasionally because everyone is trying to get their car summer ready but he's worth the wait if you want your car/truck done right.

I went to a big chain to do a routine test of my battery and they told me I needed to replace my battery. I came here to replace it and they tested it and informed me it did not need replacing at all. Saved a lot of money!

I had a problem with my turning signals and I took it for service at the Baker’s garage. On meeting them for the first time, they were very friendly and showed confidence in being able to fix the issue. A couple of hours later everything was fixed and they ensured that all vehicle lights were working. Upon picking up the vehicle, they explained clearly the issue and outlined the service work performed on the receipt sheet. Price was fair enough.
I made an appointment in advance for just an oil change. I been driving and putting a lot of miles on my car driving from SD to the bay area. That one morning. I stop by the gas station on 152. I heard a metal to metal noise when I hit the brakes. I was thinking this isn't good. I was so nervous and planning things in advance thinking if Alex didn't have the parts or anything. The worse case was me getting a rental car for a week and a half since I had to drive back to SD again.
I met with Alex and explained to him about my car. He gave me a sense of relief! He said it will be the whole day plus he can order the parts and get it done.
I had the caliper piston stuck on one side that cause my brakes to worn down on one side. I had to get new rotors and brake pads. He lubricated my pistons, so they won't get stuck again. Plus he reset my TPMS light as well with my oil change.
I just got back to SD last night. My car is running smooth. He is reliable plus explain things to you so you won't feel like he is trying to scam you. Being a woman can be hard since I knew someone who got scam by a mechanic. I would highly recommend Alex for his honesty to his costumers. Plus will definitely come here more often to get my cars fix.
Alex is the "real deal" automobile mechanic. I dropped off a 1974 Bronco that had been sitting in my garage for 25 years. Alex did a phenomenal job going through the vehicle and preparing it for daily driving. We had an unexpected mechanical issue once the work was completed (nothing to do with Alex's work) Alex came in the shop on an off day and worked well into the night to make the repair. He did so because I had to be on the road the next morning. My experience makes it clear, Alex is a First class mechanic and business operator.
