I took my 2017 GTI in for its 80k service (oil change, spark plugs, DSG service, and inspection) and a water pump replacement. I dropped my car off at 8 AM and it was ready at 2:20 PM. Extremely fair pricing and clear communication. I will be taking my car here for all future services! They also service Japanese vehicles.
Brought my car here to have the breaks and rotors changed, a system fault investigated, and a wheel stud replaced that had been stripped a few days before when having my tires changed.
Service and staff were top notch and most importantly above board and thorough. Though I'd asked to have the brakes and rotors replaced on investigation they found that my brakes and rotors still have more than 50% of their expected life remaining. Rather than simply do the service they advised me of this and recommended against replacement. This apporach to service is precisely how you build long term loyalty. I'll be returning for all my service needs going forward.
Very fast and honest service. I received a quote and paid exactly that, no surprises. I was a first time customer and they demonstrated very well that they cared about the customer. They were even casually talking to some on a first name basis. Will definitely be bringing my car back here in the future.
I had a funky noise in my car. They took a look and it was some loose bolts. I also had an oil change and a wheel alignment because I recently got new tires. I always find them helpful and honest. My car is ready when they say it will be.
Quan and his team are my VW-dealer replacement. They know VWs well (though they service *all* brands). They've been honest, capable, and efficient for everything from oil changes to brake work to some error code diagnostics.

The reviews don’t lie. These guys are great. Went in for a diagnosis on a rough idle/ no start issue. Great communication through the whole process, and even though I ultimately elected to do the work myself, they were supportive of my decision and charged a very reasonable rate for the diagnosis. They’ve definitely earned a returning customer.
I’ve brought in both of our vehicles, a Toyota Prius and a Subaru WRX, for service to DAS on a few occasions. A couple of times for oil changes and once for air conditioning issues in our Subaru.
On every occasion, the staff have been very friendly, attentive and courteous.
Oil changes are reasonably priced and you are able to drive up and get them done, no appointment necessary. The total time to completion was about 1 hour, but it was a Saturday and they do tend to get busy. So, your experience may vary.
The air conditioning issue turned out to be an overfilled AC, which they were able to take care of in no time and at a fair cost.
I am very satisfied with the service they have provided and I would recommend them to anyone looking auto service.
I just had my breaks checked out since it was squealing. They were quick in checking my car out and I was out of the place in 15 to 20 mins. The front desk is friendly and explained the break situation clearly. In my case I did not need new breaks and I would definitely visit them if I ever need something done on my car.
Car came back with a huge leak (they left the drain plug loose) after an oil change. Coincidentally they told me there was a leak when they gave me back despite there not being any prior, had lifted the car up the day before. They wanted to charge me over 2k for a timing cover seal when the actual price for the replacement from the dealer was just below 1k. Ended up needing the whole thing replaced and oil pan as well. Not only that but they charged me an extra 50 dollars for some difficulties with the oil change “apparently”. I don’t know if they thought I didn’t know my stuff but I knew they had overpriced me. Little do they know that I had extended warranty covering everything and decided to go to another shop to clean up the mess. I went to them seeing the good reviews but they took a whole day just to leave my car in shambles. No thank you !
Got a nail in my tire and took it to DAS for a repair. 10 minutes later, it was done. Amazing! And they were busy. The DAS Team is always super professional, efficient, and prompt with the best prices. I've had other work done at DAS and they are always the best in customer service and quality repair. This is the the place to get your car worked on. They were incredibly responsive to my online inquiry, and were quick to get me a very competitive quote. They responded to my emails after hours to set up the appointment, and get the work done extremely quickly, and for a fraction of the cost of the dealership. I can't recommend highly enough!

Our Audi Q7 needed new brakes. I called the dealership and they said (without looking at the car) it would need new brake pads and rotors. They quoted me $2700.
We called Das and they quoted us close to half of that. When we brought our car in they called and said the back brakes were nearly new, the front brake pads only needed replacing, and the rotors were fine. Their honest work allowed us to spend about 15% of the quote from the dealership.
Not only that— when we dropped off the car I mentioned my son had dropped a marble in a vent under the seat. It rolled around constantly. I asked if they could just take a look and give us a quote. The dealership said they would have to take off the seat of the car, the flooring, it would take a few days, and several thousand.
When my husband paid he came back and tossed me the marble. I couldn’t believe it!! They were able to get the marble out and change the brake pads in a few hours on a Saturday. They didn’t even charge us for retrieving the marble, which seemed like the dealership was just trying to upsell us.
So long as we are in the area, I will never trust my car in other hands. (Certainly not the dealership’s!) They we’re so kind and happy. Called us several times to update and let us know cost. Can’t say enough about this garage. Go, go, go and tell your friends!
Love these guys! Been taking my Elantra here for almost 5 years now. Quan is honest and up front and doesn't try to force you to do work that doesn't need to be done. All the work I've done here has been done same day with the exception of one repair where the computer was giving them trouble but it was ready first thing the next morning. I used to live in the neighborhood, now I'm in Oakland and it's worth the trip over the bridge to bring my car over because I know that I will be treated fairly.

These guys are great. I reached out to them cold over Yelp's built-in messenger when my car engine completely broke down and despite my not knowing much about cars, they were very responsive and understanding. They helped me realize that it didn't make sense to repair my busted engine (despite that it probably meant they weren't going to make more money ) versus getting a new car and kindly held on to the car over the holidays while I figured out how to donate it. Definitely a fan

Honest, dependable group of guys here. They've serviced my car before major road trips and are always honest about what needs to get done. I could have sworn I needed new breaks and these guys let me know they were still in great condition. They do a great job explaining the work they do as well. Very trustworthy. Fair prices too.
I needed to fix the loud noise at the back of my car whenever driving over a bump or rough road. After reading all the good reviews about DAS, I called the shop to set up an appointment and bring my car in for an inspection.
The first impression I had was that the front desk person, Lalo, was very friendly and helpful. He always greets customers with a smile and is eager to help, either answer questions or provide information.
When I brought my car in, Quan - the owner himself, met and tested driving my car with me. He suggested replacing the struts and gave me the quote with a very reasonable price for good quality parts (KYB). I planned to do the work with DAS right away, but could not do so due to a death in my family. After taking care of my family and about 1 month later, I finally had my car fixed at DAS. Quan still honored the quote and even dropped me off at the rental car nearby and promised me to have my car ready the next day.
The following day Lalo called and let me know that they found that the sway bar links should be also replaced with an additional and reasonable cost. They wanted to make sure that I agreed and approved the work before proceeding. After our agreement, my car was ready to be picked up in the afternoon. This is very impressive and professional.
The only thing that I found after picking up my car was the boot and bumpers were quite old and worn. Even though it won't affect the performance of the car much, I wanted them to be replaced if possible. Quan was very kind to offer to replace them without additional charge the next time I brought my car in. I found that Quan is very polite, kind and honest. He is willing to work with you and your concern about the car.

Great service. Fast response for a quote on replacing a timing belt, water pump and tensioner. Nice price. Dropped the car off the next morning and they had me back out the door and on the road again in no time. I asked them to check my brakes also, which they did without charging me for it. Turned out I didn't need any brake work done at this time. It was nice where they didn't try to sell me an unneeded brake job. They did point out one thing that they noticed on something else that will have to be dealt with in the future.

I was up for 90K service, which is a major service and received some quotes in the high 3 figures. Then I contacted DAS Auto Service after my wife raved about how they were honest and helped her save $$.
I messaged them through Yelp and Quan responded within minutes. He was polite, clear and gave me a quote. I was able to book a next day appointment.
At the service station, Lalo checked me in within minutes and had me out of the door within 9 minutes. I was told to expect a phone call late afternoon. Lalo honored the quote, no up-sells or high pressure sleaze.
I inquired about changing spark plugs, which on a Prius is a pain to change. He gave me a fair price and a discount. I ended up saving a couple hundred bucks than other quotes and received my car on time. It seems to be working well and I cannot thank Das Auto for taking me in at such short notice and being honest! 5 stars and great service. Highly recommended!
Great service.. Fast. & reliable.. They really take the time to ease your mind in regards to car trouble. For example, they diligently check your vehicle both physical inspection visual inspection and via computer inspection. If your vehicle is in need of a major repair that will take days they give you a loaner at no cost. If you are uncertain if your vehicle is safe to drive they will drive with you on the freeway on the streets until you have peace of mind. I really appreciate their attentiveness and attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond.
I went to Das Auto Service, for the first time, back in August for a transmission flush. The quote I was given on the phone was the price I paid after the job was done. I met a few other customers while waiting for my car. One of them has been taking their car to Das Auto for about 5 years and there were no complaints. They are very happy with the shop. I'm happy too. I'll be going back soon for some other work to be done. By the way, the employees that I've spoken to at Das Auto seem happy. I think this says a lot about the owner. Also, I ask a lot of questions and these guys are kind and patient. That means a lot to me and will make me a repeat customer. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to bringing my car back to them because I feel like it is in trusted hands.
I’ve been getting my oil changed at Das for almost 4 years. I moved from SoCal and was worried about finding a new auto shop I could trust with my little 2010 Jetta.

My car had some electrical issues on a Saturday morning and they did their best to get it back to me before they closed for the weekend so I could have it for work on Monday.

I love the customer service at Das Auto. They are extremely professional, and friendly. Their prices are great as well. My full synthetic oil change cost $60. I was in and out fairly quickly, within 30 mins. These guys are my regular auto shop.
The customer service at DAS Auto Service is beyond excellent. We had an issue with a service that was performed during my first visit. Knowing that they have a good reputation, I went back to them to explain the issue and they worked with me to come up with a mutual agreement to fix the issue. This to me shows that the shop can be trusted and they are there to make their customers happy with a reliable and reasonable cost. These guys are not in the business of taking advantage of their customers and the best part is that they own up to their service if the customer is not satisfied. Thank you Quan for your help.
These guys have done a great job of taking care of our 2004 325Ci. They are prompt, efficient and have extremely reasonable prices. The couple of times they dealt with my wife she commented that she felt like they'd explained things clearly and intelligently - no pandering or double talk that can be associated with auto repair shops. We've never had any issues with the quality of the significant amount of work they've done for us.
Hopefully our car won't need more work but that's not realistic so we will definitely be going back. Ask for Oscar - he's good people.
(P.S. - don't let the crowded exterior of the small shop they have fool you. They do good work inside.)
