Be nice to them and follow the rules and you will have no issue. The people complaining are those who do not follow directions. 1. Have your recycling sorted and cleaned out. Do not do this in the line. 2. Don’t park blocking traffic. 3. Bring your items and stand in line and wait for them to help you. And then let them work. 4. They weigh everything unless it’s too little. Don’t get upset, this is how it is done. 5. Smile and say thank you. They are nice people and are providing a service.
If I missed anything, read their sign. Everything is clearly written on these.
Isidro is nice and honest. I’m shock at all of the negative comments, I can’t say the same. I see many individuals come with very high expectations to receive a large lump sum of cash in exchange for their recycling but forget that the value of plastic/cans has significantly decreased overtime. It’s sad to see that many will point the finger and assume they are being scammed. Others will resort to belittling or name calling the employees which is disgusting and extremely unnecessary. Their rates are fair and are similar to other recycling places. I also noticed that many come with their recycling not separated. PLEASE SEPARATE YOUR PLASTICS/ CANS/ AND OR GLASS before going. Remember we are fortunate to have a recycling place close to home. We must help each other out.
Only reason I go here is proximity to my house. 2 minute drive but the man is rude and gets upset if a single plastic gets mixed in the aluminum bag. Sorry I missed one! Sue me. Also I'm questioning how payment is calculated because never exceed more than $20 even if my SUV is filled with 3 garbage bags plastic, 3 garbage bags aluminum and 10 lbs of glass?!?!
My dad went to this location and he agrees that it was a rip off. Also, the customer service was terrible. The gentleman working there was very rude to him. He doesn’t plan on returning there and would rather drive further. Please work on your customer service skills.
The two guys were very rude and bossy. I was paid less than the amount of bottle refund I'm supposed to get. Are there any better recycling centers in the area? I'm from downtown SF.Thanks!
Update: They are not rude anymore.The last time I went there, they were kinder and more accommodating.
My go to spot. I’m amazed at all the mean comments. The 2 employees are hardworking and I’ve never had a problem. It’s pretty straight forward. Wait your turn. They are doing the best they can in a timely matter. If you don’t like it there, go somewhere else. Or better yet, go and apply for their job & do better.
The worker was very rude. Pulled in front of drop off 12:55, he said can’t park there because other people waiting untill it opens at 1:00. No one was there. Kind of dumb. Bad customer service
I agree with most people who had an issue with this location.. I believe they do rip people off. Not only did they serve one guy that I was ahead of, first, but I didn’t understand how he got nearly as much return as I did, even though I clearly brought more recyclables than him. And overall, is poorly managed.
The guy that looks in his 50’s with glasses is very rude and bossy, especially it’s so strict, even we we’re just in a public space… This is the worst recycling service, I’ve ever been!
The employees here are very nice and attentive I’ve been coming here for quite sometime now and I never had an issue. Those comments of people saying they are “racist” are ridiculous. The people leaving those rude comments are the racist ones. Stop being mean and show some respect. If you have an issue of the location or something. Then go somewhere else with that rude attitude.
My first time there and it was cool. I read the reviews before going and saw how everyone talked about their bad customer service, so I headed over with a negative mindset. I got there, I was nice to the two guys and wasn't afraid to ask what they needed me to do since it was my first time with them. I followed instructions. Everything flowed fine. In the end, the owner of the place told me he usually gets irritated because people just don't want to listen to instructions. Remember people, communication is key.
They try to screw you. They will not pay you by the item, but by weight unless you tell them otherwise. Payment by item will give you way more refund. Good company policy would be to tell the customer that there's a choice and not make the choice for them, which is in every case good for them and bad for you. Be aware and try to use different return places if you have the option to.
They didn’t want to help me with my recycle things because some of my bags were mixed and instead of helping me separate it they made me take back home
I bought 5 bags of 30 gallon plastic bottles! [20 FL oz plastic bottle] I only received $15.05 Is this correct payout? Yeah reviews are right..very rude!
Guy was too bossy ! Didn't even want to show to us the weight of our bottles and cans.. i know I was paid less of what I suppose to be paid.. no garbage can anywhere.. they look mad can't even talk w them about questions..rude v
Okay for recycling bottles, containers, and some raw metals that have been pre-separated. But that is all they do. No other recycling of electronics, or other items.
A note about public interaction. While standing on the street taking pictures I was told I couldn't take them. Not sure why as a reason was never provided by the worker. Maybe an immigration related request? Maybe something else. If immigration related the person should not have any issues in San Mateo county or San Francisco county since both are sanctuary counties in California. In case, the worker could have made the statement sound less like an order and more like a request with justification. Businesses will have pictures taken, especially when taken from the street. It's unrealistic to expect anything else.
First time I was there it was 2 o clock nobody was there. Sign says they are open 1-4 I came back next time on Thursday I went there and there was somebody I can’t tell How rude that guy was, Since that was my first time I was gonna ask something but his attitude like he was force to be there doesn’t want to listen at all looks so angry. Please have somebody who loved to be there. The person who is there is very rude and doesn’t have patience at all.
