I've been using this business for years & they take practically everything with very few exceptions.
Thanks for being there !!!Jan 26, 2026 -
I've accumulated some electronics over the years but have always procrastinated in terms of getting rid of them in a responsible manner. They made the process easy and were eager to help me. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get rid of any electronics with sensitive data.

Big ticket purchases can always be a little nerve-wracking, whether in person or over the hinterlands of the internet.
This organization, and the humans doing the heavy lifting, are truly up-cycling.
They under-promise & over-deliver, because this MacBook Pro (which I am writing this review on) is in superb condition and performance.
Some might complain about packaging.
It was well wrapped in bubble wrap; Even with the box crushed on one side, the contents were pristine.
Great communicators, doing a stellar job saving the planet & your wallet.
Thanks for being awesome humans.Jan 06, 2026 -
As a long-time customer of GreenCitizen, I highly appreciate them and what they do for us. They make it easy to recycle most things and they're very knowledgeable if you have a detailed question. Everyone that I've come across there has been friendly and helpful, every time. Some have recognized me from past dropoffs visits and went on to do something extra or special, be it a fee discount, waiver or something done free. I so appreciate that GreenCitizen highly values repeat customers!

GreenCitizen is amazing. Easy to work with. The two guys who came to help remove the electronics were nice and friendly. Will def use them again.

Been there twice. Staff is helpful and friendly. They took my TV for free, some other electronics for a small fee and they take Apple pay so super easy.

GreenCitizen is great! Take your electronics to them and they'll get rid of them for you. I dropped off an old TV yesterday. The process was very easy. The bonus was that everyone was very friendly and the process was efficient.

I am so happy to have found green citizen! They are easy to find and use and I don't mind driving about 20 minutes to be able to recycle items that my regular recycling company will not accept. The price is good in fact they are quite a bit cheaper than taking things to other places such as the dump. I wish everyone used them! The planet will thank you. Also they are very kind and explained things very clearly.

The folk and GreenCitizen took a large college of electronics (phones, tablets, laptops, monitors) off my hands as easily as just driving through. If you're considering throwing equipment into the landfill, check this service out instead!

Getting rid of our E-Waste with Green Citizen was such a smooth and easy process. Also, Shanell was super pleasant and helpful over the phone!

I had a fourteen year old desktop and two old monitors, arrived at 10:10 AM on a Monday and was on my way just a few minutes later. This is the place to go! Very clear web site instructions and well organized.

I have left tech hardware here before. This place is very reliable. I met a helper named Jay who is very friendly. Driving in and out is easy.

Super easy to recycle styrofoam and misc. electronics/cords/etc. that end up accumulating over time. Follow the signs to enter the lot, unload, and finito! Friendly and informative staff. First time visit at their non-SF spot - if you’ve ever parked at long-term off-terminal SFO parking you’ve driven right past it (it’s ok, you were in a hurry).

Super deceptive with their mail in device services. They make it seem like the charge your paying for is covering your shipping. Also, conflicting marketing--on their webpage it says tablets are free to recycle. Go to recycle page--psych. You pay for them. Bit of a scam, if you ask me. Don't fall for it.

Super friendly and efficient. I only had a few items and they took them all for free. Will absolutely be using them again in the future!

Love this place for styrofoam and electronic waste recycling, including secure destruction of hard drives! Very reasonably priced given what they’re actually able to recycle, and everyone there is so nice.

I really appreciate that Green Citizen helps recycle so many things from styrofoam to electronics. I frequently visit them and sometimes bring things I am uncertain of and they will give me a quick assessment if they can take it or not. The drop off is easy and the location is very convenient. Some things have fees but they are very fair.
The people are always friendly and very helpful. I appreciate this business very much and hope more people can recycle things here.Aug 13, 2025 -
Such great customer service! Jay was amazing, I called and spoke with him and when I arrived he personally helped me with a TV! I will be back this service is top notch!

Went to drop off an old 50” TV that didn’t work anymore. Maxim was super friendly! He helped me unload the TV and even helped direct traffic for me as I pulled out of the drop off zone! Great service! All I had to do was fill out a quick form and they took it for free! The whole process took ~5 minutes. Highly recommend recycling your old electronics here!

We just used Green Citizen for the first time today. We have had a collection of computers, monitors, laptops and miscellaneous items that were accumulated over many years. Jay was very helpful and accommodating and with the amount we had even offered free pick up. The two gentlemen that arrived to pick up were very nice and polite. We are happy that this company will be re-purposing and donating this equipment and they offered us safe data protection on our side. Will recommend to anyone looking for an e-waste solution.

It was my first time using Green Citizen, and I really appreciated how simple the process was. Recycling the TV was completely free of charge. Maxim was incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole experience very pleasant. I would definitely use their service again if I get the chance.

I appreciate Green Citizen's transparency in the recycling process - it is unique among electronic recyclers and makes me confident my e-waste is not being dumped in a poor country with no resources to process it. Also, their staff is super helpful and efficient when you arrive to unload stuff.

I’ve recycled many electronic products here. The people who work here are very helpful. Easy to drop off by pulling in near the door. Hard drives and computers are free, but they offer to destroy the drives for an additional fee. I had a bunch of cables and wires to get rid of, $1 a pound for those. Pro tip: instead of backing out to the street you can drive around the parked trucks for a convenient exit.

I've always had an excellent experience dropping off electronics at the Green Citizen in Burlingame. Always greeted by super friendly staff. It super easy to drive in and drop off the electronics. I believe the person who assisted me today was Maxime, he was super helpful and had great customer service.

This is an excellent resource for electronics and packaging recycling! The staff is always exceptionally friendly, and they are efficient in processing your drop off items. Not only do they take monitors, TVs, computers, printers, etc., they also take styrofoam and other hard to recycle materials. We are lucky to have them close by; it's convenient and planet healthy! Thanks guys!

I definitely recommend recycling electronics at Green Citizen. I recycled my flat-screen TV here, and the experience was quick and easy. Pulled up my car to the back entrance stop sign, a friendly employee by the name of Jay quickly came out to help me unload the TV, I filled out a form, and was done. The whole process took about 5 minutes.
My only constructive feedback would be that their hours are only Mon-Fri from 10AM-6PM which makes it hard for people with regular working hours to get to. If there were limited hours on a weekend day it would have made things more convenient, but overall I'm very satisfied with my experience.Feb 22, 2025 -
Would highly recommend for electronic recycling. Very easy drop off at their door, and their staff was super helpful. Angelina and Max unloaded all my items and helped me fill out the form, and I was finished in less than 5 minutes. I had recycled old PC parts, a tablet and old phones for free, and I also paid a very minimal charge ($3) for a bag of old chargers and headphones. Easy process and I'll return for future recycling needs.

My first time coming here and had a great experience. Convenient location, no wait time at all and I was able to drop off a huge bag if Styrofoam for only $5. Shanell was super friendly and even let me know that they take a lot of electronics for free and even do free pickup for your business! I will definitely return. Anything to keep one less item out of the landfill :)

I found this place on Google maps and decided to be a green citizen by dropping off my Nebula capsule projector. Only the battery is broken, everything else works fine, so I don’t want to throw it in the trash bin. I thought if I drop this off in an electronic recycling station, then there’s a good chance the working electronic parts can be reused/recycled.
Drove here for 15 mins on 101. No hassle. The process was quick because I was the only one. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. The only thing I didn’t expect is I had to pay for that to get recycled :(
Not trying to be cheap, but driving time + car fuels + had to pay money for a mini capsule to be recycled = not worth it :(
Now, I understand why the people in my complex throw away their electronics in the trash area. Unless I have big electronic TV or laptop that they accept for free, I won’t come back.Dec 02, 2023 -
LOVE the convenience of this fabulous recycling service in our community! anything we can do to keep Styrofoam and other unwanted electronic items out of our garbage is a blessing. I had a bunch of light fixtures that came in boxes with Styrofoam and I wasn’t sure what to do with them until I found Green Citizen. Right off the 101 and into their driveway for an easy drop off! The people working there are friendly and helpful too. I highly recommend this incredible business.
