I had them look at my car last week and could not diagnose the problem but had a few ideas I was on a time crunch so I could not leave the car there for further investigating. Then the check engine light came on. They were able to just fix the part on the fly. even stayed up late to help me out. They were grilling and offered me chicken.

Friendly mechanics who are honest and give good service and rates because they are family run and depend on good word of mouth. They sometimes stay open from 9 pm to midnight! That's how busy they are. One of the largest privately owned shop I have used. They repair , rebuilds engines, so they must be very skilled and smart. Few shops rebuild engines. (I stopped going to chains like Firestone nor Precision AUTO after my wife and I found them charging high fees and pushing unnecessary repairs.)

Weird energy here. I called and asked what they would charge for a pre purchase inspection on a used vehicle and got ignored. When I say ignored, I mean I was literally met with heavy breathing in response to my inquiry. Maybe I missed something, but I’m going elsewhere

My car suddenly flashed with VSC/Trac Off/Check Engine lights while driving on the 101, so we stopped by Pismo Beach Automotive to fix the issue. Anthony was very helpful and swift, addressing and resolving the issue very quickly. We are very grateful for his help, 100% recommend!!

I had a serpentine belt installed incorrectly and nothing was open besides Pismo Beach Automotive .I stopped in around 8:30pm, Jose and his co worker were friendly and welcoming instead of rude and standoffish Jose tightened my serpentine belt on the spot and got me back on the road..JOSE YOU ARE AWESOME , thank you Pismo Beach Automotive ..These guys are the place to go

Anthony helped us right away with a needed oil change and a check engine light during our road trip! He was a lifesaver!

We highly recommend Anthony and his team, they are amazing! You can really trust them, great service and fair price. Our power steering pump started to leak right when we arrived at the hotel parking, hard to turn the wheel, it was an emergency. The hotel desk advised to call Anthony at Pismo Beach Automotive, luckily for us the garage was at 5mn by car. It was late afternoon on a Friday, after leaving a message Anthony called back few minutes later, told me to bring the car asap. Jonathan who is fantastic worked on the car immediately and saw the problem right away. He is a technical wizard! They immediately ordered the part (we have a GMC Acadia 2015 in great condition 72k mileage) and the car was fixed by 9pm, yes they work hard and late. The day after on Saturday Anthony wanted to do a quick check to make sure it was all good to go, amazing, I never had a garage who tells me they'll check again, super service, very friendly, felt like my uncle and cousins were taking care of our car. They have a true passion for cars and fixing them! Next time we'll go to Pismo Beach we'll go to say Hi to our garage friends!:-) Also Anthony knows everybody in Pismo (and everybody knows him:-)) so he gave us great recommendation for food;-)

Anthony went above and beyond to help us during a desperate time while on a work trip to pismo. Our alternator and battery failed and Anthony was able to get both parts and have our vehicle running perfectly in a short time. He went out of his way to give me a ride to and from our hotel and communicated with us through the whole process. I highly recommend Anthony and his team. They are the best!!

THERE ARE GOOD PEOPLE!! I can't say enough good things about Anthony and the team at Pismo Beach Auto. They are honest good people. My daughter who goes to college in Los Angeles drove up to Pismo Beach to see a friend but had to be back that evening to work early on Sunday. Her power steering light came on on the way up and when she got there it was not working well. We live in Chicago. I called several shops at 9:00 am in the morning and most were closed. I finally got Anthony to answer and he was so nice. Explained my concern that she couldn't get back and he right away said have the car towed here and I can look at it today. He kept texting me with information and was so patient. Ended up telling us it was probably a programming issue but if we could get back to LA safely it would be more cost-effective than leaving the car there and her having to come back up. They were amazing. She was able to get back safely and I can't tell you how thankful I am for their help in the moment. If you need service go there!!!

Great experience here and I would highly recommend them! We were driving through town on our way north when we started hearing a strange noise. We are full time in our RV, so the idea of our “house” being broken is always scary but the team here was amazing! They got us in right away and had the issue diagnosed, fixed and got us back on the road fast. They were so helpful, kind and knowledgeable through the whole process!

We heard loud horrible screeching noises from our car and found this place. Anthony was very professional with straight forward instructions- told us to come over, diagnosed and fixed our car due to a bent piece of metal in 5 minutes. He didn’t charge us either- Thank you so much!! highly recommend them!

Drove 5 hours ( 300) miles arrived to our camp site where my brakes completely gave out. Rear pads metal to metal / caliper badly leaking Yes , I should have been due diligent and checked my dually before our journey, but luckily we made it to our destination. Called got no response, but received a phone call back in few minutes later Drop the truck off 5:30 pm , the owner said he will have it done tonite MAN of his WORD. Pismo Beach Auto went the extra mile to fix and repair my dually an hour past closing time. thank you Anthony terraboa , u got me home safely

Anthony answered the phone on Sunday! (10/1.) My car wouldn't start... I got a jump. Got over there and he took a look at it. The peace of mind before traveling home was much appreciated.

I arrived in Pismo Beach at 4:30pm on a Friday with my truck making a grinding sound. Being from out of town I was hoping to find a mechanic that could squeeze me in on Saturday to get the issue diagnosed and maybe even fixed. By chance I called Pismo Beach Automotive and spoke with Anthony Terraboa. He said if I could get the truck to him in an hour or so he would look at it and see what the issue was. I got the truck to him as quickly as I could. 30 minutes after I dropped the truck off Anthony called me and said the issue was a wheel bearing and gave me a fair estimate for replacing the bearing. He also said he could have it replaced in 90 minutes if I was willing to wait that long. I oked the work and 90 minutes later he showed me the grinding bearing and sent me on my way to the RV park in my once again quiet truck. That is amazing service that I never even thought could happen. If you're in Pismo Beach and you want great customer service and a job done correctly at a reasonable price go see Anthony.

Traveling with our kids, we were on our way to San Simeon when we were alerted by another driver that something's wrong with our van. We exited and found out we had an oil leak. Checked the nearest automotive shop and found Pismo Beach Automotive. We brought our van there 930am. Anthony and his crew worked on our van, had trouble ordering parts that needed to be replaced but got the job done! By around 5:15 we got the call that we can come pick up the van. Wasn't able to go to our scheduled trip at San Simeon but we enjoyed the day at Pismo Beach.

Anthony was shockingly awake and available at 10:00PM on a holiday weekend to answer a call from me with a dead battery/alternator with kids in the car. He stayed until 11:30PM when the tow arrived, and assured it would be taken care of in the AM. Sure enough he called the next day and had it fixed by end of the day, for a very reasonable price. Nice as can be and so simple; he' my go-to # for Pismo/SLO area now !

Anthony quickly diagnosed and found the part necessary to fix my Volvo engine. Without his prompt service and experience my family would have been stranded 3 hours from home. Thank you again for amazing service!

The red battery icon went on in my car and I called Anthony at Pismo Auto Repair. He told me to bring it over, even though it was a Saturday, and he diagnosed the issue which was a defective alternator, as I suspected. He repaired my car, which had to be towed, on Sunday, his day off. Anything went far above and beyond, even giving me a ride back to my car after it was repaired. He did great work at a very fair price. He is not only a good mechanic, he is a caring, kind person. Thank you so much Anthony.

Anthony and his crew were excellent and very friendly. We were out of town and our alternator went out. Anthony replaced it in good time and did a great job. Price of the job was very good and he even bought us breakfast. If your in pismo and need work look him up.

My car broke down during my vacation in Pismo Beach. I saw the reviews and took my chance with Pismo Beach Automotive and I'm glad I did. Anthony was very helpful and took the time to explain the issue and provided a lot of information. He's definitely someone you can trust with your car.

Anthony is the man! Managed to roll over a fat screw that punctured my tire. Called Anthony, he said swing over, told me he would fix it up and in no time at all he had me on my way. Super nice, very fair price and even offered to let me keep my car there on a busy Saturday so I wouldn’t need to find parking. Wished I lived in Pismo so I could bring any car problem to Anthony.

This was an experience for both myself and Anthony the mechanic. Long story short, the work I required involved a unique power steering pump. I brought it to him on the weekend so parts stores were closed. He did everything he possibly could to get me on the road that day and couldn't. This dude literally tried everything. We were staying the weekend anyways, but he worked all day Saturday, Sunday on into getting someone to specially make a part on Monday that he welded himself that afternoon. Without going into specifics, this dude went above and beyond anything any mechanic has ever done for me before.... EVER. Just a Good f****** dude... Thank you Anthony.

My Accord was running really poorly and Pismo Beach Auto was just down the street from my home. They thoroughly checked it out for no cost. Turns out I had blown a couple of valves. I know engine repair and they were able to show me exactly what went wrong and all of my options. In the end, I compared their bid to other shops -- Pismo Beach Auto was the lowest, and they also did and excellent job and ON TIME. I truly sensed that they were about saving me money and getting my car back on the road. 80K miles later it works fantastic and with no leaks.

I met Anthony in Kettleman City and how he help me I can give him 10 stars if it is possible. I had a flat tire when me and my family going home from vacation in I5 near Kettleman City. My car (volt) does not carry spare tire and I had a large punch so that need a new tire. The time was about 9 pm on Saturday and one guy at a tire shop told me he can give a USED tire for 750$! When I told it to Anthony ( he was there to fix another vehicle) and he told me it was a highway robbery and asked me to cancel that and he went another place ~30 miles to get a NEW tire and fixed my car in a very short time. He did not asked me to pay any money upfront and also show me the receipt of 100$ for the NEW tire and asked me to give him some tip! He is very honest & genuine guy!

I had an experience at the shop that makes me give this place 10 Stars if I could. I was on my way back from camping with my entire family in my Honda Odyssey van loaded with gear when it died on the freeway. it was less than 10 minutes before 6 p.m. and all of the auto shops that were listed through AAA and I could find while waiting for them were closed when I called them. The tow truck driver said that Anthony might be open still and that he sometimes work into the evening. When we showed up Anthony quickly sussed it up as a bad alternator and seeing that the car was loaded full of gear I had my entire family and we've been on vacation and we're 2 hours from home he said that he would prioritize getting it repaired and have us on the road that evening if the auto parts store that was still open had the part in stock . It seemed too good to be true but Anthony was good to his word he replaced the alternator and reassured me that despite the fact that he had done it as quickly as he could had tightened everything up and made sure that the car was good to go. So in less than 3 hours he replaced the alternator checked and make sure everything was safe and good to go and basically saved my vacation and my family and I from having to try and find a rent a car at night and then come back or rent a hotel for the night. Even with the tip that I gave him he charge less than it would have cost us to have it done at the dealership!! more than just a mechanic this guy has a big heart and is super competent at his job thank you very much I would recommend him without hesitation
