Loved everything but the mosquitos. People were all very friendly and not too far from town. A cute little community just a few minutes outside of town. Not too many of those left around.
Friendly gated community just off of the San Joaquin River, and a hop, skip & a jump from 'civilization '. Has a tranquil lake visited by migrating geese. Has limited RV camping, which is a favorite spot for some visitors.
Had a grate time there, the breakfast with biscuits and gravy were good and the rib dinner Sat.night was delicious. The River Club hoisted there first ever R/C Boat Race and all their hard work paid off. With over 110 boats entered and 47 driver's it was a busy weekend and all were happy. Hope the club benefited from us all being there.
Very nice place. Biggest complaint is there are no decent internet service providers, and it seems like the ones that service the area are monopolies that overcharge for terrible service. Seeing as I play games this place isn’t very enjoyable to live in. Doesn’t seem like they’re trying to fix the issue either.
I have family that lives out here. It's a cute little community. they have a bar/grill, there is a dart league for the residents to join, all are welcome to come and join in the holiday festivities. Lots of old home and man made lakes right on the San Juaquin River
Used to go here with the family ages ago when I was a kid. Grandma had a membership and every summer we would load up the VW and head out to picnic, swim and maybe play a game or two of pinball in the clubhouse. That clubhouse was always dark and smokey! It always felt like some old regular would yell at me to get out. Lots of fun memories.
I worked the polling place here. It's a world of its own. Everyone knows their neighbors. Kind folks I met gave me a lot of history and how to be a part of this members only community. Very pleasant grounds with lots of water, water fowl and the like. It would be nice if they had some type of open house so the public can have an opportunity to roam the park and water ways.
I have nothing good to say about the San Joaquin River Club a bunch of old miserable people who can't stay out of your business and a bunch of liars and that's about it
Our community is really what you make it. If you are responsible law-abiding citizen who is civically minded and monetarily responsible it can be a paradise! There are opportunities to be involved in the governing body, all participating committees, the church and employment opportunity! There are always volunteer positions and opportunities to make friends and form bonds! We have bingo, dart league, three lakes, abundant wildlife, beautiful River views and we are located equally between Manteca and Tracy. It is required to go to review process before becoming a member including driving, credit and background check those making this decision or all members who volunteer for the committee that does the in depth work to determine who has proven they can be a responsible member of our community~
The river club board members fell they have the power to pass judgment,,making statements with facts, ,we spent 2 months with paper work, my sons application to be a member, here we spent two would months at the camp grounds here paying waiting to get the word,,the board members turned him down saying some one else did the papers after all the running around,,this statement was untrue,, I've been around the river club for 25 years never have I Sean a poor handling of justice,,my grandpa Rickert live here for many year and so have friends of ours ,,they say they never Sean it this bad,, you would think the people put on the board where God and that they are not,,why should they have the last say on who comes in or not ,,I've Sean a lot of shady people in the river club now,,so is it who you know or who you are that makes a person,,everyone makes mastake when they are young some hide them better then others ,,they was no reason for my son and his daughters not to be able to live there you take our money for the camp grounds for nearly 2 months then you give some absolutely poor reason to justify your decision, ,My son has 2 children he is a great father works hard for his children..and you have people on you board playing god ,,I will make sure to pass the negative word about this River club to as mean people that will lesson,,and continue to post about this place theresa Jan 2017
