I was going to buy a couple hundred bucks in oil, power steering fluid, and car wash soap and other items but I was 7 minutes late when closing is at 1 pm and denied my sale because I only had a credit card. Who close an auto parts store at 1pm.This is why locals do not shop here and would rather go down the hill and go to autozome
I like the guy who works there. He made sure I didn't needlessly buy an item. Not a great selection on vehicle items that appeal to us mountain folk but I digress. It's definitely small but they'll help you out of a pinch.
AVOID: do NOT buy snow chains from this place; they sold me a terrible spring loaded snow chain (Tire Chains Cable Security Chain) ; on the way back we hit snow, it was difficult to put on but i managed it, 3miles down the hill, both right and left chains broke , hit the break fluid pipes, broke them both and i was stranded in the top; i had to pay $1,100 to DONS to tow me back to LA, and it will cost me $600 to get the damage fixed, total $1700 they owe me.
BTW. their website shows the price st $69 but they charged me $100+tax. I am just luck to be alive.

I have never visited this store in person, only on earthcam. We really miss seeing the people shop there. We can't get the Napa cam on TV any more. This was our way of visiting California. Watching them helped us get through 2020.
During my trip to Big Bear my car showed check engine light. It was Sunday and we came at 15:59pm just one minute prior shop closing.Zach was extremely professional and helped me.He found best solution for me helped check oil and sold proper equipment and parts to continue my trip. Appreciate you Zach! You’re the best!
Great shop and friendly guy. Saved our bacon after overheating on the way to Big Bear. Had all the parts needed for an Acura.

We busted a bearing on our trailer wheel and Napa was listed as open on a Sunday, but when we got there the store was closed for repairs. However the owner was there and when we explained our situation they totally helped us out and sold us the part anyway. So thankful!! Great group of people working here

For example, I called today to ask about a car battery shown in-stock on the Napa website to verify it was accurate. I spoke with Scott on the phone who informed me that unfortunately they currently did not have one available. Before having the time to even ask if the next closest store that did have one available he said that he was going to see if he could have one delivered today. Calling a neighboring store he was able to have one brought before closing and I was able to make the purchase on the same day.
This may not always be possible for every part or component however I know the team at this Napa store always does their best to help out a their customers and their neighbors.
I bought a battery jump starter there and the clerk Zach said he could keep it overnight and charge it for me. Went back and the next day and Scott handed it back to me uncharged and boxed up. Didn't argue but for sure I'll be returning the thing... So unfriendly...
Walked in and inquired about a part for my f150. The main employee and the store were not able to get the part through their distributors, however the main employee found a store nearby for me that can fix my part in house. Awesome service. They did me a huge solid. Will be going there for all my needs
Passing though town. Ordered parts that morning and was able to get parts by end of day. Super fast ability to get parts and things you need. Gentleman at the counter and over the phone knew what he was talking about and was very funny.
Jammed packed, tried to vet snow chains, told him my proper size, got the chains, had different sizes on the packaging, employee told me it would work, went out to see fitment, ofcourse did not work, tried to exchange, employee told me no exchanges and no refunds.... paid 100 bucks for snow chains i couldnt use
Awesome they went out of their way last minute to get us a part from out of town and bring it to us so we could continue our spring vacation and would recommend them for all your auto parts needs.
