Could an HoA be any more poorly run? I’m not sure but at the rate the Smiley Park Board and Marks Management company is going, we might soon find out! While you might think about living here because it’s beautiful, you would soon be disappointed to find out that it’s run by the most petty, ridiculous, and ineffectual people you would ever be cursed to meet. Avoid this community at all costs.

Smiley Park is run like a middle-school clique with property dues. The Board, especially Bev and Suzie, seem more interested in petty grudges and favoritism than you know, doing their jobs. If they put half as much effort into actual management as they do into picking on people they don’t like, this place might function! Marks Management isn’t any better; they make “ineffective” look ambitious. The cherry on top? Confusing financials, questionable maintenance, and hush-hush issues (can you say contaminated water and zero Board transparency??) It's like a daytime drama but the residents are the unfortunate participants. If you enjoy incompetence, secrecy, and high school-level politics, Smiley Park is the place for you. Otherwise… run.
