AAA sent Phelan towing for my towing service call. 1.75 hours after I called in they marked with AAA that they arrived to my location but it still took them an additional 1.5 hrs to show up. When they finally showed up the driver had an attitude becauseI called AAA 3 times aboutthem not showingup. My car was going 40 miles to a mechanic, it took the driver over 2 hours to get it there. I call for service at 11 AM my car made it to the mechanic at 4:45 PM. I will never use this company again.
Had a great experience with the company. Moses Montanez and the crew got my towed in no time flat. The company was professional, and it was a pleasure doing business with them.
I hit a rock in the road and put a hile in the oil pan on HWY 2 about 10 miles west of Wrightwood. I called the team at Phelan towing and told them where the car was. They had it picked up, on a flatbed, and delivered to the shop in Wrightwood in less than an hour and forty-five minutes. The driver was conscientious about not damaging my car and the dispatcher was courteous and understanding with what I needed. Thank you!
Ordered a tow truck via AAA. And after waiting for 2 hours, Driver stated came to location and I wasn't there even though I've been waiting with the vehicle. Driver never came and canceled my service! Such a shitty company, don't use them!
I trusted my vehicles in their care, and gave me the best price I could find. Drivers are good people, and overall will definitely reach out to them for my next tow!
This company really helped us out from being stuck in the sand, pretty far off road. We have a heavy camper van and they were able to help us out pretty quickly! AAA doesn’t cover off road towing so I had to pay out of pocket for their service, but it was a reasonable price. Highly recommend and thank you again!

My mom recently had the misfortune of her car breaking down on the outskirts of Phelan. I called Phelan Towing, and they provided prompt and professional service. Their tow truck arrived quickly, and the driver was courteous and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help her out.

AAA assigned this tow company for my tow. I do not advise using this tow service. Driver is not unprofessional, loss my vehicle key in his own pocket. Dropped his vape pen, which I saw returned to him immediately. He insisted I did not give the key fob to him. Driver disconnected the hooks lifted the flat bed. Thought he was going to look under the bed for the fob. He did not, he walked to the drivers side and found the fob. At which point he stated that I must have dropped it there. I let it go, as he strapped down the car. I asked if he had the address for the car dealership in Ontario, he did. I when back into my home, filled with dread. I went back outside to have the driver leave the car, and go away. He was gone, and I've worried the car would suffer damage in his care. If you have ever witnessed someone (driver) and wondered how the hell they managed to live as long up to this point in age. It is that driver. Calling AAA next, to avoid another person dealing with this tow service.
Horrible towing company. I needed a tow from victorville to hesperia maybe about 20 miles. I contacted AAA at 3:30 pm they responded with an eta of 4:45pm for the tow to arrive at my location. It showed Phelan towing as the service provider. It didn't show up waited contacted AAA again they said about another 30 min. Waited again nothing, not a contact from Phelan towing, contacted AAA again they said the guy was running into traffic and was about 15 minutes away he should contact me as soon as possible. He never did, they said they arrived and contacted me and I never responded. I was with the vehicle all the time. I called AAA they said that call had been cleared they showed up and I wasn't there or answering the phone. Finally I got a manager from AAA to look into the situation she stated that they dispatch the truck at 6:30 then the tow showed up at 6:31 and then canceled the service due to no contact at 6:32. They just clicked and cleared the call. They left me with out a tow, AAA could of gotten me a different provider, but Phelan towing trying to get all the calls but with out personel to cover them. AAA did their part unfortunately due to a lying towing company they couldn't provide me with a tow tonight. I wonder if they do the same to people with kids on the side of the road or stuck out in the middle of the freeway. If you guys can't cover the calls let someone else cover them.

AAA "dispatched" this company. I was left on the side of the 138 for over an hour, only being less than 10 miles away from their shop.
The phone number does not work. It isn't even the actual number to contact the company. There is no urgency, no communication, no transparency. AAA should not partner with this service at all.
You all are the absolute best !
My aunt and a friend were stuck out in a dead zone in the desert coming back from Las Vegas, and having called and talked to numerous tow companies that told them they were not in their district,
four or more hours of this,and finally a driver from Phelan Towing said he would go out and get them. Alfred went above and beyond. Thank you guys for your hard work and dedication. Fantastic Job ! Again THANK YOU PHELAN TOWING.
The servicemen were very friendly, helpful, and professional. My car was stuck on a dirt road Monday morning, the wheel wouldn't turn, and we were elated to find out how knowledgeable they were on what appeared to be the problem. Tremendously insightful and honest guys. Thanks a bunch!!!
Their driver tried to call me before he arrived (but my phones battery had ran out) he arrived 2 minutes earlier than the estimated time. He was very professional, and polite, and it was really reassuring to know that myself and my vehicle would be delivered safely to my destination. Called AAA on Friday, at first they said Aguilar towing was going to show up even the driver called me saying he was 10 minutes away and never showed up then AAA sent Phelan towing which is about 25 miles from my house and came to the rescue pretty fast, followed my instructions and left my vehicle at the mechanic of my preference. THANK YOU PHELAN TOWING.
My Chevy Silverado broke down on the 15 fwy today while I was towing my trailer. These guys were so extremely helpful. And reasonably priced. Everyone else wanted an outrageous amount of money to go 25 miles. I would definitely recommend them and they are AAA accredited.
Needed a tow, was told it would be 2 hours wait. whatever, emergencies arent convenient. 2 hours pass, im told again it would be another hour. 3 hours pass. 4 hours pass. 5 hours pass. finally, after calling their offices over and over for about 20 minutes, i was towed after 6 hours in 108 degree weather. driver was polite, though.
Called AAA they were dispatched. They came out and to say they would send a flatbed. After two hours waiting, I called dispatch to be informed they are showing as being at my location, I let them know that's what I've been showing on my app for two hours. AAA called them to be informed they couldn't help because the car was to low. This info came to me at 11:30 at night on the side of a very busy highway. This towing company is the worst in communication with AAA and the customer.
The owner and his team are AMAZING! They came through for a couple of heavy jobs for me and my family they had the correct tow trucks for every job. If they didn’t they even helped by offering to contract it out. They towed our low rider with hydrologics, our Chevy Dually. They went above and beyond to help. I’m so grateful for them. Trust worthy and reliable they came in the time frame provided and handled with care and respect.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Today I ran out of gas only because the other side of Phelan was blocked off ( baldy mesa area). I submitted my fuel request with AAA AND of course it goes to Phelan Towing. I was given a time of 10:32 great a 30 min wait. But No one had shown up by 10:32 so I called. When I called they told me 10 more minutes. It’s 80* outside and I have my kids in the car with me no gas and the fans are only blowing hot air at this point. I’m a disabled vet so I can’t hike to the store to get gas it’s wya to far especially for my kids to get to. The new updated time is now 11:05 which mean my 30 min turned a 40 min wait but ultimately it’ll probably be over an hour. This company SUCKS! And I’ll also be reporting them to the BBB.
Awful experience unless you have over 2 1/2 hours to wait for help call them. I sat at highway 18 for 21/2 hours. The CHP had to literally call them to get me off road. Absolutely they dont care about your safety and well being of their customers 🙄.
This is the second time this year AAA has dispatched PHELAN TOWING to my rescue and they did exactly what I expected.

I got my truck stuck in SAND. They told AAA I need 2 trucks and NON STANDARD equiptment to pull me out. I was 20 feet off a main road.
PHELAN TOWING wanted 200$ extra on top of my AAA membership to pull me out.
I spent 5 minutes digging with a SHOVEL and DROVE OUT. With my STUCK TRUCK.
No other cars involved even tho I went home brought back my 2 trucks just INCASE.
They are scamming people and it's disgusting.
In addition, in March they came out to jump my truck. And instead told me my batteries are bad and I need to purchase batteries through they're company from AAA. 500 $!! I went to autozone and replaced my batteries with new ones for free with a free alternator.

They had me waiting for 6 1/2 hrs. Not even a text or a call thru the whole time. I called a few times and left messages with no response. AAA is no help just kept putting me off. At 1st the text from AAA was one hr. Then it changed 6 times with no explanation. The tow driver was very pleasant. He said he just git the call. Well that tells me this company doesn't give a damn about AAA members and people from this town backed it up!
Worst company ever. Three hours and I’m still waiting for a tow truck they said would be here in 90 minutes. Why AAA still uses them has me wondering. 4 times in two years Phelan towing has been dispatched by AAA when I’ve called, they have never showed up within the time they tell AAA. Each time I’ve waited over three hours. If there is another service like AAA I’ll drop my AAA and join the other service. I’ve been with AAA for 20 years, this is how I’m rewarded for my loyalty.
A couple months ago I had a flat tire and I called AAA and was given and ETA of 30 minutes. Then it turned to an ETA of 1 hour just for nobody to show up 2 hours later with no call or explanation. Now today my sister was involved in an accident and she requested towing service. Phelan Towing just never showed up and she was literally down the street from their shop. In addition she waited for them in the cold wind. Their service lately has just been awful. What's the point of paying for a service I'm just never going to receive.
Extremely rude and very unprofessional service. We waited 7 HOURS in the freezing cold for them to show up just to find out they cancelled on us twice, WITHOUT INFORMING US OF THE CANCELLATION!!! They stated because of our location they needed a CHP officer to be present for the tow. The second cancellation was for no reason at all. We waited for them on Angeles Crest highway (where we broke down) from 2:00am to 9:00am. The tow truck driver finally showed up and he was nothing but rude. He made multiple rude/insulting remarks about us. He called us Homeless no lives and he insulted my car by saying it wasn’t even worth towing. He ended up charging us $500 for the tow and he threatened to take the car to his towing yard if I did not pay him the $500. He claimed we could get a “reimbursement” from AAA if I filled out some paper work, but upon further inspection of this “paper work” it was just a statement of how much the tow was and the specs of my car. I HIGHLY do not recommend this company, if you break down on Angeles Crest you are better off walking then dealing with these clowns.
Horrible, rude, and unprofessional service. I rarely write reviews, but this was such a horrible experience I have to. We were stranded on the CA-2 for 7 HOURS. These guys cancelled on us twice and we spent all night in the cold waiting. First cancellation was because they “CHP to be with us” (which makes no sense). Second cancellation was for no reason. On top of that we got charged $500 for a tow that should have been free, and when simply questioning why it was so much we got insulted and called “homeless and low life” on the phone. Wish I recorded that conversation. Stay clear of these guys, do yourself a favor.
If you get dispatched to them through AAA make sure to ask for someone else, they broke all of AAA policies by charging us $500 and claimed we could “get reimbursed”. Threatened to send the car to impound otherwise.
