Horrible horrible service! I had to call 3 times, the first girl I talked to was super rude and she hung up on me. The second guy I spoke to was rude sounded like he didn’t want to help and didn’t even know what he was doing. He then left me on hold forever probably for about 15 min and never answered again. I had to call again and the 3rd person I spoke to was very helpful and fast! Not sure why the other 2 people before kept asking so many question on what I was throwing away and and charging me for something I wasn’t even asking for. Seemed like they didn’t understand what I was asking for. Burrtec needs to really train the employees on their service.

I ordered an additional grey can for our home and was informed that the charge would be added to our property taxes. I received the new can the following week and service was setup and now over a month later only one is being emptied on trash day? After calling, I was initially told that I had called to cancel the second can. When I clarified that this was not the case, the agent then said there was no payment for the can. I explained what I was told when I ordered the second can, and she responded that it only applies after the down payment is made, so they would not service the second can until then. That was fine, so I made the requested payment, but now I have a full bin of trash attracting flies and maggots from the heat. Due to Burrtec's error, I was told the second can will not be picked up even with this internal mix-up until the following week. As a business owner, you shouldn't make an internal error and then blame the customer, making things worse by refusing service and leaving garbage to spoil, smell, and rot for an entire week. It's your responsibility to fix the issue, resolve the payment situation, and send a driver to pick up the can. After all, the customer isn't at fault for an internal error in billing or communication after service was setup and established for weeks.

This company clearly isn't doing their job right. The community has spoken. Just read the reviews.

I called with some questions 1 My lids on my trash cans are cracking they scheduled them to be exchanged on my trash day. 2 How do I dispose of old paint and fire extinguishers. Same thing I can schedule them to be picked up on trash day. They just need the number of each. Thank you Elisha

Best place to recycle. Better prices. Employees are very friendly.

The first time I went to Burrtec was 2 years ago when I was homeless and broke and didn't have anything. I just went today and I have a job, a girlfriend, a car, and a nearly place to call home. But throughout my journey, I found that this location is fair with their pricing and that the employees are all super cool and chill. Laura Lopez, the lady who refunds your tickets in the office, embodies this to perfection. She has always been polite to me whether I was walking in there looking wooped after a long night of canning, on days when I had some pep in my step, excited to be making some money, and even today when I went in after another night of canning (this time with my car ?), she is literally the nicest person to engage with. Positivity is definitely infectious in a goof way, so I thank both Laura and Burrtec for being amazing hosts!!!

Well organized recycling center. Be sure to bring something with you to show your Coachella Valley address. I finally recycled some long fluorescent lights which cannot be discarded in the trash for environmental reasons. Easy to find right off Hovely Lane between Portola and Cook Street

‘Counted my glass’ yet didn’t get paid for it. Turning in the slip the person behind the window kept repeating herself and couldn’t hear me. Zero for customer service. Go somewhere else to turn in recycles.

In Palm Desert this recycling center is very well organized, convenient, & has a fast paced service. I loved the service at this recycling facility, the attendant helping us with the recycling was very kind & very attentive. The entire process was easy, they have empty trash cans on wheels to make it easier for you recyclables, to exit from your car directly into the empty cans, they have more than one lane so while you're waiting you may start placing your recyclables in the cans to get ahead of time. Awesome prices, and overall 5 stars for my experience.

Today is Tuesday , June 25th Burrtec didn't pick my trash. I called the customer service at 1pm and again at 3 pm and 2 employees insisted that they will still come and pick it up as they supposedly working to 8pm. Unfortunately it didn’t happen. I am very disappointed, it happened 3 times so far. Very bad customer service.

Don’t waste your time asking for them to pick up anything . I asked them to pick up a broken Mirror the lady suggested I place each broken piece of mirror in a bag.. mind you it’s shattered and I explained this. I also asked for them to take an old Christmas tree they said they wanted me to separate each branch and each branch counts as 1 piece. And you’re only allowed 4 branches .. stupid company.

We live in Sun City PD. However, when I stopped at the PD recylcing center today I was told that in the future I needed to go the Edom Hill site instead of the PD recycling center. When I asked why, I was told that Sun City PD residences aren't "residences" of the City of Palm Desert... What the heck?? I have a PD address, pay Burrtec for garbage services and the recycling center is run by Burrtec. To the city of PD - if we aren't "residences" than why don't you state so on your website instead of waiting until I show up at the recycling center. Next time I'll save my self the time, hastle & gas and just call Burrtec and schedule a home pickup.

Very poor service. Had talked to 3 different people about scheduling switch over of trash cans. The day came and driver picked up/changed neighbors and not ours. Attempted to flag driver down and appeared to ignore attempt. Wounotnotvrecommend

Bad service they didn't pickup the container on Wednesday as should be l call the next day didn't pickup l call on Friday they letted me know to take care of it but didn't l know what's going on is because we're Latinos because if this happens in rancho mirage they send someone as possible as right should be

We are new residents to the Springs Rancho Mirage. We were told they would deliver trash cans to begin our service. Then a week later we called in again and we’re told. Oh no the home owner must purchase their own trash cans. I guess I will be going to Lowe’s.

Easy place to get $$ for glass or plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Haven't recycled other things yet but intend to drop off a lot of block styrofoam packing material (no $$). You have to drive a couple of blocks with your credit slip to another building to receive the $$. Personnel are very helpful.

I prefer this recycling center over others. It's well organized and allows for multiple cars at a time. They have 3 lines that allow you to pull in and separate your items. Typically bins are lined up at each line as well. They do have a small sinks area where you can wash your hands after recycling which is nice. You do have to drive around the corner to cash in your receipt though.

The absolute worst! They come to our country club now on Thursday afternoons with their loud trucks and for over 2 hours hear loud, trucks and bottles and awful noises at our beautiful country club. I was entertaining ladies in my outside patio and was so embarrassed. They need to come in the morning and not spend the entire afternoon loudly interrupting the entire lower section of Ironwood! Absolutely awful!!!!!!! I feel like moving! l

Worst service. Rarely pick up my trash. I have to call every other week for dispatch. The supervisor is somewhat helpful but never follows through. I’ll be calling tomorrow because they missed today, as usual. Absolutely terrible. Should be a city service, not this junk company.

Scheduled bulky item pickup twice, never happened. Customer service line not helpful after waiting for >30mins. I guess I have to rent a truck, pay other moving company to have my trash removed when I already have a trash company subscription I pay monthly for. What can I say, customer service is lost.

Burrtec did not pick up our trash or recyling for two weeks. I sent a message to my community on "Nextdoor" asking if others were having the same problem and surprising number responded that they were. When I called Burrtec they said they'd send someone out that day. I requested a credit on my account for two weeks of missed service. I was given a credit for only one week. The Burrtec Rep told me that they weren't receiving complaints from anyone else in my community and I told them the other neighbors who said they HAD called Burrtect to report the same problem. That same week Burrtec, again, didn't pick up our trash. I called them again and was told someone would be out to pick it up that day. No one showed up and I needed to call the following day again. After having this persistent problem, I called Burrtec and requested to speak to their Manager to find out what could be done to correct the problem. I received no return call and called again for two more consecutive days with no response from any person of authority at Burrtec. I finally reached a Burrtec Rep who was very helpful and explained the actions he was taking to ensure my service would be carried out as expected and as paid for. Apart from this one "unique" Rep., Burrtec's "Customer Service" is terrible and their management is spineless. The worst part is that - like our cable system provider - we have no alternative for trash and recyling pick up service.

Burrtec has decided to take advantage of their locked in customers at DWRM! My monthly bill was $18.51 as of June, 2022. Now they raised the bill almost 80% to $33.00 per mo. I have no recourse but to pay this bill because they are contracted with Del Webb Rancho Mirage. My only recourse is to complain and let everyone know this is happening. I understand inflation has raised costs, BUT to TAKE ADVANTAGE of customers like this is appalling and unfair. Burrtec makes themselves sound like they're a NICE company. In my book they are like many corporations who are charging customers unfairly to make huge profits.

Just moved to California, went to this place for the first time. Every one I came into contact with were very nice and respectful . One of the employees there helped me with my aluminum cans. By the way the place is Clean and well organized, I have NO COMPLAINTS. IN AND OUT IN A FEW MINUTES ?.

Great employees, easy and quick. Note those who give low stars and complain are the definitioin of clueless: How could one not discern or understand the difference between the recycling center and their home trash pickup? Ignore the low stars, get $$$'s for your recycling and enjoy the helpfulness and smiles of the employees there.

employees are very nice at the office. However the drivers miss 1 out of 5 pick ups. i sure wish i could charge customers and not do anything for the money 20% of the time. Customer service tries to send someone out but you cant force lazy people to work, you can only ask.

The prices are good, and most of the staff is great. It’s the other customers that are the problem. It’s so disorganized that someone who was two cars behind you can cut in front without any staff members caring. They need to issue numbers as we come through the gate, so there’s no doubt about who’s next. My time is just as important as anyone else.
