Do not go here. I brought in 39 large bags of aluminum cans, 150 lbs. exactly. They said it was only 85lbs. They placed the cans in huge bags and only weighed half. The scales say -15lbs to offset the weight of the plastic totes. But they never put the cans in the plastic totes. The bags they weigh them in are only 1lb. SCAMMERS. DO NOT GO.. GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A HONEST COMPANY.
These guys were great and very easy to find. On their web page, a picture was posted that they pay out the best rates... but they don't. I took my clients cans and bottles here and they gave me over $20 less than what I get in Roseville. In Roseville, I took less than what I had now. I was thankful they were nice & polite and that they wrote me a receipt so I can give it to my client.
Your best bet for more money is to take smaller loads.
I would not go there again, when they opened at the old location there was a guy there that was honest, they moved behind Raleys and have 3 people now. They rip you off..here is how..if you have many bags of cans or plastic and you dump them into their containers they never show you zeroed out weight, and they take those and weigh them without you watching as you are still unloading and quickly dump them into their bags so you cant contest the weight. Also the girl weighing quotes the weight on the scale and writes a different weight on the chart hiding behind a box diversion, not in front of you at all for example so she says 10 lbs and writes 9 for example I called her on it and the security guy came over and intimidated me. If you have a bag or two, and you can watch and have them zero out the weight might be ok, the calibration on the scale is probably off also if you have larger quantity of cans bottles plastic do not. I also weighed my stuff before I went with a calibrated scale, they shorted me 15% even with the trash bag weight i subtracted I used..hope they get busted for fraud..beware people go elsewhere..
Tried to drop off glass bottles. The workers dumped out the glass bottles, breaking them in the process. They then said they do not accept glass bottles *without* labels. That there had to be a label on the bottle, which I had never heard before. When asked why this was an issue, they said call the boss and gave a number. Called, nobody answered and it did not give an option to leave a voice message. After dumping out the glass bottles then saying they don't accept it, they loaded back up the broken glass and forced us to take the broken glass home.
Although the scales are right, I'm not sure if they know how to add correctly. I had 75 lbs worth of cans with a payout of 80 dollars. They told me I only had 50 lbs. I'm not no 20 lbs off. Just remember, 1.65 per pound of aluminum
Posting this for anyone else who thought the recycling place by Raley's closed, like we did. They are indeed quite open, but now located all the way BEHIND Raley's. There is no signage visible (that I saw) from the roadway. So if you cruise by, it would be easy to think they closed permanently.
Yesterday I took a bunch of recycling to them. There was a young woman and man working. They were professional, polite, cheerful, and genuinely helpful. The young man wouldn't even let me move the trash cans full of my recycle to the scales. Highly recommend them!
Not bad .No lazy workers there.They are fast and hard workers.But you have to keep your eyes on the scale when they weigh your recycle goods. $1.65 per pound for cans is what your pay off should be.
My experience here has been mostly positive, but today Saturday Dec. 10 they were supposed to be open until 4:30. I arrived at 4pm, locked up tight. I tried to call before driving out but there was no answer.
Nice recycling center. I used to go to Auburn Recology but they stopped doing recyclables. I'm glad there's another option. Recycle and make money at the same time.
