First time writing a 1-star review. Please do me a favor and listen to the rating and don't bother going here. Waited for an hour and a half, only to find out on my own that they had canceled the service without letting me know. Not a single soul came out to inform me or give an explanation. No apologies given. Maybe you can come if you want to waste your time for an incredible unprofessionalism.
This Walmart Automotive damaged my rims as well as the paint on the rim when they were replacing the tires. Luckily I took photos of all 4 tires before it was taken in with the meta data to prove that. Manager Justin should be fired immediately. We will get to the bottom of this!
Went in to get my 4 tires replaced on my 2015 Ford Fusion. They broke off 3 lug nuts on 1 tire and 4 lug nuts on my other tire. They then called me and told me they could not get the lug nuts off and that I needed to take them off prior to getting the tires replaced. I thought that was their job.
So now I am in the process of having to remedy this issue and figure out how to get recouped for the damage to my vehicle. Walmart has denied all damage to the vehicle. I will happily get an attorney involved in this to get me paid for the damage this caused. I can’t even drive the vehicle to work!
Extremely disappointed with this place. I came in for a simple oil change, but they didn’t even do it — they said they didn’t have the right tool for my oil filter. Fine, things happen. But the real issue came afterward: while driving on the freeway, my engine splash shield came off and broke because it was not properly reattached after the service.
When I returned to let them know, the technician who worked on my car started blaming me, suggesting I must have hit something — instead of taking responsibility for their poor workmanship. Not only did they fail to perform the service I came for, but their negligence also damaged my car and put me at risk on the road.
No accountability, no professionalism, and zero customer care. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Terrible experience at Walmart AutoCare. I came in for a simple oil change and left with a disabled power liftgate — they somehow turned it off instead of just resetting the oil maintenance reminder. On top of that, while removing the service sticker from my windshield, they damaged the UV-protective film I had installed to block heat and sunlight.
The staff was careless and unprofessional. The manager showed no interest in solving the problem, kept disappearing, and avoided taking any responsibility.
Awful service, inattentive mechanics, and a manager who refuses to deal with issues. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
The tire mechanics didn't do what I asked of them. They were to check to see which TPMS sensor was bad. Instead they write on the invoice, "TPMS light on". Huh? I know that!! That's why I brought it to them in the first place!!!
Had appointment for 2 tire installation, was still made to wait 2 hours. Upon driving away, I heard a loud metallic clunk noise come from one of the new tires. Drove to America’s Tires for inspection. Problem: balancer weight had not been installed properly, spin check was not properly done by Walmart. Paid America’s Tires for repairs, and opened claim with Walmart for reimbursement.
This auto center was very different from most Walmart. 1)The sales tried to sell me everything, 2) When my car was done and I was called to pick it up, the female manager was working on something else and let me waited for a while. She said nothing, and so have to ask her should I pay it now? 3) When I approached my car, I heard that my car kept on beeping! The technician who parked my car out put the gear in “D” instead of “P”, and then shut the engine.
All in all, a “massed-up” Walmart auto center.
The worst experience I've had in a while. I ordered "1" tire to be replaced on my truck. I made an appointment for 9a. Got there at 830p and it was empty. They had about 6 techs. It took them 2 hours to get "1" tire mounted on my truck. Last time I ever go there. I don't recommend it here at all!!
I've been going here for years. One day I walked in and I was standing outside for 15 minutes without anybody attending me so I told the manager. As revenge they torqued my oil cap when they change my oil so hard, purposely. So I took it to another Walmart auto center they told me that the last person that did my oil torqued my oil cap so hard that they stripped it and then I need to get another one replaced little did they know it was the auto center Walmart in Westminster on trask and Beach that has been changing my oil. Crappy service and they took revenge by stripping my oil cap when they drained the oil. No one else has changed my oil since I cough the car. Take it somewhere else.
Took my wheelchair van to have two tires patched / plugged. Had me wait a hour and a half . Working on my tires just before they closed. Was helping a friend move some stuff this past weekend. Went to remove my spare tire (a actual tire ) from the passenger compartment. Only to discover someone removed my spare and replaced it with a temporary "donut"" tire. I transport people in wheelchairs and would never trust a "donut " to support the weight. Always watch when anyone works on your cars thieves are everywhere and don't care.

I needed to replace my headlight bulbs, but the caps were really stuck, and the other techs said they couldn’t get them off and we can’t do anything! James stepped in, didn’t give up, and tried multiple times until he finally got it done.
Really appreciate his dedication and willingness to go the extra mile—awesome service!
Be prepared to waste half a day, even if you have an appointment.
I scheduled an appointment for 7am, but my tires weren’t ready. They rescheduled for 9am, and it wasn’t until 10am that they found my tires. I was then told I could come in at 10:30am.
There’s no difference between having an appointment or walking in — you’ll end up waiting for hours. With only one or two people working on all the cars and moving at a slow pace, the process drags on.
I’ve been to the Santa Ana location before, and it wasn’t as bad. Hopefully, Walmart addresses the issues at this location.

Although I had an appointment for an oil change, they put me behind everybody else that was there. Ended up taking over 2 hours for an oil change. CLERKS seemed very un-caring. Goes to show you get what you pay for.

Made an appointment to get my mom’s car oil changed. Showed up a few minutes early. The man who checked me in was very nice and helpful. He informed me that because I made an appointment, it shouldn’t take more than an hour. A little more than an hour and a half passes by, so I decided to ask them how much longer it would be. Personally, I didn’t find my tone to be rude or aggressive but the man I spoke to was a little snappy. They’re busy, I get it. A lot of cars to work on, so maybe they’re stressed out idk. After speaking with them, the car was done within the next 20 minutes. And they didn’t even reset the oil maintenance setting.
I understand they’re busy. I get that. However, learn to give out appropriate wait estimate times. I was told it would be under an hour, but I waited 2 hours. 3 stars because the intial man I spoke to was very helpful and nice. It is Walmart, so don’t expect great service.
I am happy that Walmart was fast, efficient and affordable to replace my bad tire. It was one pothole away from destroying my car. Thank you!

Brought my car here on the 7th it started running bad, barely able to shift on the 9th I brought it back to find out after coming to get an oil change that I now have a transmission leak. My car has never had a problem with the transmission. No one has done work under the hood of the car or under neath it’s except at Walmart when I got an oil change. DO NOT DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. i brought my car in when the head of the service department was finally there and they didn’t put more transmission fluid in, they did nothing. Left the hood half opened left this floor and seat cover, did me a claim and sent me on my way to buy more transmission fluid to keep the car from further messing up. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. THEY DONT CARE YOU COME FOR AN OIL CHANFE AND LEAVE WITH MAJOR CAR ISSUES THEY DONT CARE TO HELP WITH. it doesn’t and will never make sense. If my car never had transmission issues like clear noticeable issue on how the car is running you take it to get serviced and now the car is no longer running the same. It’s didn’t even run better after the oil change it’s running worse and I am left to deal with the problem alone because they don’t care.
Called ahead to see if they where busy and if they could take me for an oil change. They said yes, 30 minutes later i showed up and they said they where closed. Terrible service and attitude from the girl inside. I probably referred 10 friends here this year alone. I won’t be doing that again. I’ll happily take my business and referrals elsewhere.
I went in to get a quick oil change and after 40 minutes I find that they maliciously damaged my car's engine and added the off-brand poor synthetic oil than the premium one that they promised. You let them solve one of your car's issues and 2 more very serious ones take its place once they are done. Take my advice and stay away from this shady auto care center.
Prices are good! The issue I have is with their lack of personnel. I arrived at the auto center for tires at 12:00 pm, because they are always short handed I waited until 2:00 before i was helped despite many attempts for anyone to just write up a work order. The girl at the desk can't write up work orders apparently so you have to go out & flag someone down to help you. Once they wrote it up it only took them an hour to put on the tires. It was an exhausting day. I will never go back to Walmart for any kind of auto service, I would rather pay more for good service. It's not worth the saving a few dollars to me.
Worst customer service ever, i found no one to ask what should i do.
Then when i asked someone he told me to stand behind a very long line after i stayed in the line i found that this line was not for changing the tires.
Then i moved to the correct line the guy who should change our tires was talking with his colleagues and was so slow in his work.
When he finished serving the car in turn he disappeared for minutes then he showed back and i asked him what we were waiting for he asked me did anyone took ur info i said no so he started to take my car's info and i signed papers requested then he left me for about 20 minutes again then he showed back again and said he was going to take his break.
After he returned from his break he disappeared for about 20 more minutes then i went to ask him how long will changing my tires will take as i have been waiting for about 3 hours he told me that it will take 30 minutes however he will change the tires of another car first and i asked him why he said that that guy was waiting inside but leaving his car in another place however he was here from long time.
At this point I started to be angry and I said i have been waiting here since 11:30 am. And it was 3:30 p.m and I was waiting with my son 4 years old who became bored and hungry.
I went here to get just one new tire because I was told on the phone they could do it in 20 minutes. I had my three little kids with me so it was priority that I get in and out quickly. It took almost TWO HOURS. Now I have a headache and my kids are eating cereal for dinner.
Batteries, oil change. Done both with multiple cars over the years. I always drive in when it's not busy, put in the order, wander the store for an hour, shop, all done. Half the price for oil change versus 15 minute fast change places - ranges from $20 to $45+ (depends on synthetic, high mileage, regular oil and amount required, if over 5 quarts). Batteries last the warrantied years.
The easy way to estimate the oil change wait? Count the cars in front of you times 30 minutes each. So if there are 3 cars in front, they'll take up to 1:30 hours before doing yours. They have 1 oil change lane, another for tires, etc. Keep in mind, even on the cheapest oil change service, they do the oil change, check battery CCA, reset tire pressures, etc.
Don't be afraid or hide in your car. Step out so they know you're waiting, even walk up and ask to be written up for service.
