Brought the guys my 1998 Silverado. They knocked another one outa the park for me. This was an all original 200+K mile truck that was well maintained, but needed some TLC. We did a fresh 350 engine, headers, exhaust, and Dakota Digital gauges. Upgraded to 4 wheel disc brakes front/rear and a Bell Tech lowering kit. Cosmetically: color matched grill/bumper/roll pan/bed cover and a new set of wheels from Schott Wheels in Garden Grove. Amazing Job!!
Stay away from these guys, RUN! I brought my 1937 Cadillac Convertible coupe in for service. My guess it the reviews on top are fake?
Look at the ones further down, I think they tell the real story with these guys? I paid them about $8000.00. My car came back chattering and vibrating. They also tried to overcharge me by $1200.00 on tires. Save yourself grief and aggravation, take your car to a reputable mechanic, who honest and really knows how to work on classic cars.
Took my 1968 California Special Mustang for updating the electrical system and they did an evalution of my car and offered more suggestions that needed attention, I ended up have them do more work than expected, but the car has never run better as well as the gaps on the car were not what I wanted they corrected them to my statisfaction, cannot recommend them enough, clean shop, attentive staff and good people to talk about your classic car

The team at OC Cars was amazing! They breathed life back into my old K5 and got it running like new. The guys there were extremely knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the entire engine rebuild process. Definitely a shop where you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.
Took my 96 Chevy Dually in for suspension noises and leaking valve cover gaskets. They where very busy full of cars but fit me in the next day. Troy was the mechanic and did a great job for a very fair price.
I have a 1977 FJ40 with a SBC conversion; these guys are the only shop of four in South County that actually did what they said they’d do and do it well (engine replacement, etc). I got ripped off by the other three shops that specialized in classic cars, in which they took my money and years of time, but never actually fixed anything long term. Beyond the “specialists,”everyone else in town only works on 1990 and newer vehicles.
Finding a place that actually understands how older cars work is a delight. Their labor charge is higher than some shops, but then again older cars are specialized work any more. It’s the cost of owning an older car thar one actually drives, and sometimes it is worth having skilled mechanics do the work instead of doing a home repair. All I know is that they have done amazing work for me so far!
Horrible place. Do not go here you will get ripped off badly. Bad work and bad owners. Run from this place. Do not work there either her you will not get paid.
I went here to get my transmission replaced and ordered a torq converter and a Hughes stage 2 700r4 for my Camaro, they gave me a price quote for the transmission and torq converter along with getting an black widow exhaust installed which I had the exhaust plus x pipes just needed welded on and got a quote of $250 since I had the exhaust and $3400 for transmission, Eric called me and said everything was in, 3-4 days before my Camaro was done had a call about a TCI 700r4 stage 2 was put in with a Hughes torq converter and I never got a call about a different transmission being put in and asked about the Hughes transmission and Eric said they couldn’t get it after telling me my transmission was in and never saying it was a different transmission after putting $3k down payment, don’t trust this place they will increase prices on you and get parts in and not tell you before hand ! There are better places to go for your classic or hot rod car!
Unfortunately had a not so great experience. I talked to them before I made the appointment specifically about what I needed done and gave them the exact model year of the part in question. The appointment was for an axle rebuild (really the key thing) and I also asked them to fire up the new crate motor in the rig. To be fair they did a good job on firing the new crate engine but after they did that work they called me to tell me that they aren’t going to do anything on the axles.
I wouldn’t of brought it there if I knew they were going to decide after the fact they weren't going to do the axles. Not sure why a stock 1974 FJ40 axle was a problem but they should have just said “no” they weren’t sure they could actually do the work BEFORE taking it in. Now I'm faced with having to bring it somewhere else and paying for two additional tows (back from them and two another place) which will run $400 to $500.
I don't think they were trying to screw anyone deliberately, but they shouldn't take on work they aren't sure they can do - especially when it costs the customer money and time.
Just a FYI so no one else runs into an issue. For the record I tried calling them and talking through this to see if they'd make it right before posting this, they chose not to.
Awesome! Eric is the best. Great service, reasonable pricing. Brought my 69 Mustang in for a ton of service/upgrades and they did an amazing job. The car runs like new. Brian and his crew are amazing!
Great service. My car was making weird noises, took it into OC cars to see what the issue was and they were very quick to find the problem and fix it. Tensioner and pulley are running smooth, they even topped off my oil free of charge, thank you. Will be a returning customer.
