Steve and Ken were wizards on fixing my car. They do excellent work, and have reasonable pricing, They kept me informed every step of the way. My car is purring. Such a joy. Thank you!
Ken is a fine mechanic and a fair business man when it comes to pricing. I would never hesitate to to take my cars to him. Even though I didn't ask he checked everything and showed his honesty by telling me everything is okay. No upsell stuff but good honesty. Thanks Ken your the best!!
My family have been going to LF Auto for 25+ years. Just love them, Steve, Len, Chuck, they are fantastic mechanics. They fix our cars for a fair price and are very honest. Always a great experience! A+
I am a first responder and Steve the owner came to the Home Depot parking lot where I was stranded. He first found the battery I needed, picked it, came to me, and replaced it!!! He charged me a reasonable price. He is a salt of the earth great stand up guy. He was my hero today. I would recommend him with the highest honors!!!
Brought my truck in , it over heated next to this shop so it was convenient to bring there. Turns out my ac belt snapped and needed a new one.. we agree to replace the belt when I went to pick it back up .. he decided to replace all 3 belts, and even help me out by ordering some extra stuff I didn’t ask for and then charging me for them.. then I get home and do a walk around of my truck and there’s a little dent in the tailgate.. then to top it all off, a couple weeks go by and I notice for some reason he replaced my coolant and changed the color of it... I’ve always ran green anti freeze and now I’m running red apparently, not happy will obviously never return
These guys are bad ass old school mechanics. No B.S. Just straight up good and fast service. You won't have to deal with automated phone systems or long wait times. I have taken three cars here now and they always do a great job, don't overcharge, or give you the run around.

Been bringing my cars here since the early 1980's. Always fair and friendly and always provides excellent service. Have always had great experiences with them and the services they perform. They will treat you and your car right.
Fairly disappointed about a repair that was done there but that's not the reason I'm posting. I was arguing with Steve about what should have or not have been done. We got tired arguing, he told me to get out and I said fine, get my car off the hoist. What happened next is what surprised me, his two technicians got in my face screaming telling me to get out of their shop. They had their phone cameras ready and were recording which makes me think it was some sort of joke they like to pull I did step back out of the shop and one of the techs physically assaulted me. Stay away from these nutcases.
I took our cars to Goodyear for service for 10 years because it was convenient. I finally realized I was spending an average of $200 per oil change. I would consistently get a $400 list of preventative work and I felt I should get at least 1-2 of things done.
I finally decided to try Lake Forest Auto Repair because Steve was a neighbor before we moved to Foothill Ranch. That was 18 months ago and I have saved at least $100/month in car maintenance because Steve only fixes what is broken (and for a very reasonable price). I'm a big fan.
I pay $40 for an oil change instead of $30 at Goodyear, but if that is all that is needed, that is all I pay. It is a bit more effort because it is a 12 minute drive to drop the car off instead of 5. For $1800 in savings in the last year and a half, it is worth it. Two thumbs up!!
