First time at the Lumberyard on New Year's Eve after a shopping day at Laguna Beach. The atmosphere is beautiful, our dinner meals and cocktails were delicious, and we had incredible service from Christina B! Looking forward to returning soon.

I came on the recommendation of a friend who said they had the best hamburgers in town. I ordered the hamburger and I have to agree! The meat is cooked to order. You have your choice of what you want on your burger. In my case, no cheese but avocado instead. And you have your choice of side dishes including french fries, sweet potato fries, and a couple other options I don't recall. It was a pleasant place to have lunch and I will return ?

We ate the chicken pot pie, very good sized portion and really good flavor. A little different than a typical pot pie. The meatloaf was huge, on top of mashed potatoes, both covered in a demiglaze that some were not excited about because of it being on the sweet side. Also could have used a side veggie. We got corn bread for appetizer and it was fantastic.

Came with friends ordered a dish and added shrimp at $3 dollars a piece they burned all of them, had been there several times before. Called the waiter, he didn't even take it off the bill. Haven't been back since.

We found this restaurant to be everything you want! Good food and service with great atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed their happy hour. The waiter served us good well done drinks and the wings were delicious. Easily 5 stars.

Menu a bit limited but rich in atmosphere. Service at times can be slow. Overall very nice place and good food and occasional live music. Especially like the trio of Mike, Suzanne and Doug.

My girlfriend and I were in town for the weekend and just happened to find this fantastic restaurant. The Lumberyard restaurant was very warm and welcoming with a casual vibe. It was the type of restaurant that could be upscale enough, if you needed it to be, but yet still had a laidback environment that I would imagine all of the locals ate there. We went on a Friday night and in the bar area they had a great little local band playing music. The staff was friendly and inviting, from the hostess all the way up to the manager. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly to our liking. We both ordered filet mignons that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The filets were topped with a delicious butter and an even better tasting red demi glaze sauce. Since it was the better half’s birthday we ordered a warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The cookie was just as delicious as the main course. If I had to have a complaint, more like a suggestion, it would be that bread was not provided for free, but that is not a big enough issue to not give the Lumberyard an enthusiastic five star review.

The Lumber yard is a great location and has good food. The 3 star rating is due to their drink pricing. I was charged $15 for a house vodka tonic. Nothing special about that. We are not in NY City. Should have been a $9 drink tops. Would like to frequent the place regularly but even in our 50's $15 for a well drink is too much in Laguna Beach. I did check the bill to make sure it wasn't a call drink and it was not so no mistake made. Beware of the bar bill if you decide to go drinking there. Two drinks was $32 before gratuity.

This restaurant is kind of tucked away in the corner, I was there with a pretty big party and the service was really good they were right on top of it. The food was pretty good, I didn't really like the french fries.

The pan seared sea bass was to die for! I don't even care much for fish, but this was a cut like a filet mignon steak! It was sooooo flavorful, mouthwatering! The roasted cauliflower was cooked to perfect doneness --easy to cut, but still had crunch ?? Efficient server. Nice touch to have live, enjoyable music during dinner

Overall, the food is what stood out. We had multiple appetizers and salad for our meal. Roasted cauliflower laid on hummus, and feta was my favorite. I ordered a cocktail recommended by my waitress. Unique flavors that I enjoyed. It was quite at the latter lunch hour that we arrived. It is a bit dark with a huge bar.

I would consider this to be pretty average, and high-priced. The fillet was slightly overcooked, and the Caesar was very normal, or slightly below. When we tried to order dessert, they were out of both the chocolate chip cookie and the other dessert that included chocolate. We also got the Keylime pie, it was much more like a goat cheese cheesecake… It is not good. Zucchini appetizer and cornbread were both pretty good.

We have gone to pageant of the masters for years. We've passed the Lumberyard several times. We decided to have an early dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the offerings of craft beer that was available. This may very well be our goto restaurant when we're in town to see the show.

It's a cool and busy spot in Laguna Beach. We didn't have reservations on a Tuesday night and waited for about 25 minutes for a table. It was pretty lively and busy. We chose this restaurant since it was close to the beach and a variety of items on their menu. The fried calamari was delicious. Especially the garlic aioli. The fish 'n chips were tasty as well. Even my 7-yr old son ordered it off the kids menu. The beef stroganoff tasted good, however, the beef was overcooked for my liking. I like my beef nice & tender. Our server was kind enough to remove it from our bill and I ended up ordering a cup of tomato bisque soup which was good. I also had some fish 'n chips. We'd go and try out other menu items next time.

This restaurant was amazing. We walked in and immediately heard the live musicians playing jazzed up versions of classic songs, and we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. The servers were all very kind and attentive. I've never had such warm and welcoming service. The food was just as great. The lumberyard planks, skirt steak, salmon & the kiddo mac&cheese and burger were all very tasty. The apple cobbler a la mode was dynamite! My kiddos loved the bread pudding. Serving sizes were perfect for us. Seriously, you cannot not go wrong with this place. It's a gem!

I love this place! Food was delicious and went beyond my expectations. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We sat outside and it was lovely. The service was quick and friendly.

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! I got the half pound Angus burger and the burger was so flavorful and just a perfect texture no blood no nothing was great! The waiter and waitress that severed us were super friendly and helpful. This was the first time the whole family was happy with the food. Thank you lumberyard for an amazing birthday dinner.

It was busy and we walked in on a Friday night, they were pretty busy... They are on open table though, so you can make reservations. For us it was a last minute as our other plans fell through, so we sat at the bar...full menu. The drink menu has unusual drinks but it's also a full bar. Had the grilled artichoke for appetizer...yummm. For dinner, I had the pasta dish and my husband had the fish and chips. Both were very good. It was a bit noisy, but it's a Friday night, anywhere you go is going to be busy and noisy. It was downtown in the shopping area.

Came for a business lunch and the service was very attentive and was a nice quiet setting in a beautiful setting of Laguna Beach. The chicken had a nice flavor and was perfectly cooked to a Coca Cola brown char on top. Pricing was reasonable and the highest priced item I saw on the menu was a $49 Filet. With their location in Laguna Beach I feel like they could charge even more considering the food quality and location. Highly recommend this California gem and had it been a nicer day would have sat outside on their patio. Great place for a steak and wine, business meal or dinner date.

The cornbread, baby back ribs, meatloaf, skirt steak, and salmon salad were amazing! Highly recommend the baby back ribs with street corn overall. The portion was huge and the flavor was great. The meat came off the bone so easily! Everyone finished their meal quickly. The apple mango cobbler was good as well!

Came in for lunch on a Saturday, food was delicious and hot! Great atmosphere it was warm and cozy and our waiter Dave was a nice guy kept checking on us to make sure we were ok. The fish and chips were great! Portion size was good and my favorite part was that it was all fresh food.

We enjoyed the Lumberyard Restaurant. The decor is nice. I had the fish and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly. We will definitely return to try something else on the menu.

Discovered this place by chance, my girlfriend and I were walking around in the area and decided to have dinner here. Glad we did! Food was amazing and dessert was heaven. The service there was fast friendly and attentive. They had live music there the night we went and they knew how to play, they weren't so loud you couldn't talk but loud enough to appreciate their talent. Can't wait to go back and try more of their offered fare. Top it all off they actually carried a type of wine my girlfriend loves. They made our date night better than it already was.

Service, as with most places these days, is hit and miss. This last time, we hardly saw our waitress. Had to flag her down to get a check or order anything. With that said, the food is always great. Desserts are decadent. Cocktails are delectable. Yummy appetizer options too if you just want a drink and a snack.

The four of us had dinner hear on a Monday night. The pasta was excellent. The chicken pot pie was good but the crust was very thin. Highly recommend the corn bread - best I’ve ever had. Our server was fantastic.

Came in for dinner before going to the Festival of the Arts. The location was really close and I was able to get parking right in front with just a short walk over after. I sat at the bar and was served promptly. I had a chicken Caesar salad that was delicious and had a wonderful homemade dressing. It’s moderately priced my bill came to $36 for the salad and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I did like the atmosphere inside as well it has a nice ambiance that’s more dimly lit. As I was walking over I noticed they also had an outside area with live music playing as well. Will probably be back to check that out.

Service was great, friendly and attentive. The food was not. It just didn't really have any flavor, and really missed the mark on the things we ordered. Signature Lumberyard Burger, cup of clam chowder, and chicken pot pie. It was just very bland...
