This is the worst company ever. They are breaking the law by refusing credit card payments claiming their machine isn’t working. The employees are completely incompetent.

I caught them trying to tow one of my Porsches last night outside my townhome in Irvine. I was able to sit in the car to prevent them from towing, and the driver immediately demanded for a drop fee. Remember folks, they CANNOT request such a thing, and they CANNOT tow a car with a person inside. All I had to do was to simply sit in it, and scroll on my phone while wasting their time. Be polite, but firm, and do not give in their demands for any type of fees. Also, needless to say, do not try to drive off while hooked as it would mess your car up. All I did, as mentioned above, was to just turn the car on, get a little bit of heat going, some music, and patiently waited for the tow guy to make a decision. He ended up calling Irvine PD. Guess what happened next! The police told him he had to release the car immediately! Initially the driver was difficult stating he had no power to unhook it, and that he had to call his boss, but thanks to the police on scene, that decision was made pretty quickly. I overall wasted 20 minutes from the moment I sat in my car to when it was released. Remember to sit in the car ASAP, be polite but firm, refusing to pay any made up "drop free", and let justice take its course. Please note that this information is intended for informational purposes and should not replace legal advice from a qualified attorney. California Vehicle Code 21712 prohibits car behind towed while people are inside. If a vehicle owner returns to their vehicle before the tow truck has left the parking lot, the tow truck driver must immediately and unconditionally release the vehicle. CVC § 22658(g)(1)(B). The tow truck driver cannot demand payment to release your vehicle. Failure to release a vehicle despite an owner’s request is a misdemeanor. CVC § 22658(g)(1)(C). It's all in the timing. Get in the car ASAP, refuse to get out, and refuse drop fees. Again, be polite and firm. After your initial demands, stop engaging with the driver. Time is on your side, not theirs. P.S. Thank you so much to Irvine PD for the help!

This encounter was terrible from the very beginning. This woman shouldn’t have any kind of customer service job. I arrived on 9/8/25 at 11am with hopes of retrieving my towed car. I walked to the window and was told to wait, I waited. 15 whole minutes in the scorching sun with no shade. When I was finally listened to I came to the window and said “hi I am here to retrieve my car”. To which the Karen at the window said, “well obviously so just tell me what car it is”. I should’ve known the encounter was going to be bad from there. $405 for one overnight tow is outrageous but I was willing and actually glad to pay it because I thought my car was stolen. She took all my details and all details of the car to which she still didn’t let me take my car from the tow lot because I am not the registered owner. Well of course not, this is a rental car and I’m here on vacation. I have left this place with no car and a hurt ego her own words were “I haven’t been rude to you YET but I am going to get started”. When she said this I walked away and avoided confrontation. I still don’t have my car as I am not the registered owner of a RENTAL car. This is absurd.

Old pink haired lady that helped me at the counter said I can’t grab anything from my car, then said she would’ve let me in if I was more respectful when I was just asking questions. Then she said, “You need to leave my property. Do you want me to do something to your car?” and then proceeds to kick the back bumper of my car. All while I’m watching her do it over the gate to the impound lot. The lady said to never come back and that she doesn’t want to see me again but I still need to go back to get my car. Very confusing and very disrespectful. Me personally, I don’t touch or kick others’ property, not so sure about To & Mo Towing. Worst experience at a tow lot ever! And the price was over two times the amount as the tow lot I was at last time.

Upon retrieval 4 engine warning lights displayed. Toyota mechanic stated it was fresh rodent damage, I think the picture reflects otherwise, draw your own conclusions, either way it happened at their facility. They would not release their insurance carrier although I asked politely & emailed them. #veryscary

Insanely unprofessional. Car got towed at 4 went to pick it up around 5:03. Called the tow place to find out they have an after hour fee of an extra $120 after 5pm. I asked if she can drop the price. She cuts me off and saying there’s no negotiation at all. Which is fine I just wanted to ask. Proceeds to have attitude telling me rude things then hangs up. I called again to make an appointment because when you I guess it is cheaper during business hours. Different lady answered I asked if I can come tomorrow she said I was being rude. I hear the other lady in the background yelling and complaining about me! Then I said to the lady at least you’re nice I just wanted to know if I can get it cheaper since I have work and I need my car today. She has attitude as well and claims she heard the whole conversation. Hangs up in my face. The First Lady claimed her name is shenay. Most likely a fake name she gave me. I hope they don’t ruin my car. From these reviews how are they still up and running?

This towing company damaged my car during a tow and has completely ignored my attempts to resolve the issue. My built-in front and rear dash cams captured clear footage of them causing damage to my rear bumper and improperly strapping underneath my front bumper. Despite reaching out, they have not taken any responsibility or responded to my concerns. I will be taking legal action to hold them accountable. If you care about your vehicle, I strongly advise against using this company. There should be a lawsuit for this pattern if anyone had / has the same experience. We as consumers should get together.

I just wanted to extend a huge thanks to the team working in the office this morning. My mother and I visited on 8/10/24 at 10:30 AM, and both Jose and Anthony provided us with exceptional customer service. We’ve never had our cars towed before, and they were patient and helpful in explaining the entire process. Despite the stress that often comes with their line of work, they maintained positive attitudes and made our experience as smooth as possible. While I hope I never need to visit the facility again, I wouldn’t mind returning due to the excellent service we received. Thank you again!

These people are absolute crooks! The woman at the front is a total Karen. No manners, no respect, and they love to play games. Nearly had to call the cops because they wanted to play games releasing my car even after they had my money in their hands. They damaged my vehicle at the yard and they couldn't care less. They had the audacity to attempt to overcharge me with an access charge and after hours pickup charge though I never accessed the car and picked it up on a Monday at 2pm. Once I told they I was going to sue them she removed the fees. They also made me jump through hoops to pay for my car because they charged my card 3 times back to back then told me the transaction was declined locking my card flagging the transaction as fraud then forced me to bring cash to pay refusing to run my card again. They are required by law to take card payments. I asked the lady at the front what their proof of service address is so I could sue them which really rubbed her the wrong way! By the sounds of it we should all come together to file a class action lawsuit to get our money back. Filing a complaint with the state and BBB and making other reviews to alert people to this terrible company.

I called to find out how much it was to get my car and was told one amount when I actually went to pay, it was $150 more than I had been told. The man who answered the phone was as rude as a human could be. However the lady at the Laguna Beach yard was much nicer. Her and the gentleman there with her are the only decent thing about the entire experience. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that I was towed from my own apartment building as someone was parked in MY spot, not wanting to cost them a fortune by having them towed, I parked in the spot next to mine with a note on the windshield explaining someone was in my spot, if I was in someone way please call and I'll move immediately. And cell number. The tow truck driver opted to just tow me instead, never call. As an added bonus my wheelchair was in the back seat, so just getting to the tow yard was very difficult to say the least. I use my cane for the few steps over the bridge to my apartment, hard to unload by myself, which was why I had left in trunk of car. When I told them about note on my car, asking why I hadn't been called before towing away I was told it was a dumb move not having the car in my spot towed instead, it's s money game I was told, not about trying to be nice, should have done the same to who had parked in my spot. A $767 dollar lesson!

The worst. Stay as far away from these people as possible. They are the most crooked tow business I have ever dealt with. The manager misrepresents himself over the phone as an employee so that he doesnt need to deal with customer complaints. They give you incorrect information so that you end up paying more money, which is stealing! Their tow truck drivers lie. They should not be allowed to conduct business in California or anywhere.

Scams. They steal ya money in order to give your car back. They won't even let you in the car to grav your identification. Had to call the cops to get some sort of help from these scam artists. Extremely unprofessional and thieves.

The lady who works at the front is perhaps the single most disrespectful person in Orange County. This place charges different rates than they quote on the phone yet has a sign on the front with rates saying legally they have to charge these rates which are substantially lower than what they charge. They are clearly engaged in predatory tow practices. They do not want you recording or taking evidence of how they conduct business or how they deal with people. I understand most tow companies would not be rated highly, but this company and location is clearly engaged in horrible business practices perhaps even illegal. They should be reported and more people should stand up to them and demand reasonable and at least legal service and towing.

People here have no mercy. I unloaded my handicap father, wheeled him to my place and when i went back the towing company towed our Van, I respectfully ask for leniency but the driver wont listen and just left with our Van towed while i was still talking. They wont even consider that it's Pandemic right now and money is so hard to earn. I am even behind in my house bills. I have to borrow money to pay $416 just to get our Van back in less than 24 hours and that's a lot of money for me. I hope people working here will get Covid and suffer. I hope if they die, they all go to hell.

I called to have a vehicle towed from my apartment complex. They were parked in front of a no parking fire zone and in front of a garage. I couldn’t park my car because of this car. The woman on the phone who asked me for a copy of my lease so that she could prove I lived here said someone would be out but hung up very quickly. I had just told her I wouldn’t provide her with that (even if I knew where it was) because people here are retaliatory. It seemed strange that she hung up on me so quickly so I called back to see if they were really sending someone. She yells at me saying she said she would send someone when they had someone and that she never asked me for a copy of my lease to prove I lived here and now suddenly there is no one available. Then she asks me for a number on the garage. I’ve lived here for 6 years and I’ve never known the number of my garage. It doesn’t matter though because the chick hangs up on me again after refusing to give me her name. Then I call back again to give her the info and try and get her name of speak to a manager. She refuses her name but puts me on hold for the manager. Of course, “Robert” the manager is unavailable. I just found out that someone who works for the Tow Mo lives in my complex. Robert: you got some splainin’ to do. All the times I could have called for a tow and didn’t because people here are psycho, and this is how I get treated. I specifically called from a private number so that they can’t narc to management the phone number. She then won’t Keller me speak yelling at me about having a private number and says I keep calling to harass her. Nice. Way to serve your customers. All I want is this car to be gone. THEN I find out someone working for the tow company lives here? I’m guessing that is why this guy thinks it’s ok to park in a fire lane, and people park in handicap spots and other people’s parking spaces. They all know nothing will be done to move the car or with management at this complex. Feel free to reach out “Roberto”. I will be driving over tomorrow to meet your wonderful employees who threaten me and say I’m harassing them.

They towed my vehicle from the apartment complex where I live because my parking pass had fallen to the floor. It cost $410 to get it out. I know they need to do their job but they shouldn’t be towing residents without trying to contact them first, especially during covid19. I would feel miserable taking innocent people’s money for an innocent mistake. Maybe stick to helping people instead of taking advantage of them, especially if they haven’t done anything wrong!

Tow companies do what they have to do, we get that. This review is for the awful people skills of the reps working here. Upon picking up a car, the woman working here didn’t even let me sit inside the waiting area. I sat on top of a parking block in the cold right outside of her window. Maybe it will be in their best interest to hire people who aren’t trash.

Caught them taking photos of the back of my debit card with a cell phone at the Lake Forest location. I assume they also took a photo of the front of my card. Had to cancel my card and now I will have to deal with all my auto payments. Why would the cashier/driver/whatever take photos of customer credit/debit cards? Exactly.

This towing company towes on weekends but is closed Saturday and Sunday making it impossible to get your car back throughout the week if you work or are a student or both. I am a full time student and work 3 jobs. Having my car towed was the biggest nightmare. I had to miss an $1800 class Monday morning just to pay $343 to get my car back. I tried to get it first thing Sunday but they’re closed. Even so I tried calling but the phone just kept ringing. I still was charged for 2 nights. Monday they told me they are “open” on the weekend but you have to call. Which I did and still had to wait, miss seeing family and pay extra.

My car got towed (rightfully) from my fiancee's apartment complex by To and Mo. Went to pick it up, and dealt with a very friendly and knowledgeable lady, even though two women before me were absolutely terrible people and called her all manner of names. No damage to the car, and a relatively quick and painless process to get it back. Tow yards are one of the worst places to end up, but if you have to end up in one, hope it's a To and Mo.

Awful service. Lady behind desk knows about three words which are “no, $283, and next”. I’m a 19 year old and she talks down to me like I’m five, I guess she needs something to make her feel better in life. Wouldn’t answer any of my questions, probably because she didn’t want to sound stupid giving the wrong answer but she would answer in such a demeaning way... that’s no way to speak to a customer. Anyways, if you get your car towed better hope it’s not here.

They ILLEGALLY towed my car. DAMAGED my car. And STOLE prescription meds from my car. And then was ILLEGALLY denying me my vechical even when I had the proper documentation and everything needed. I had to file police report after police report. But I’m not letting them get away with this. Make sure you know your rights before stepping into that office. Woman in the office is an absolute idiot. And extremely unprofessional. OMAR is a thief, liar, and is now going to be investigated.

One of the worse experiences! I know getting towed would never be fun but this was worse than should be ever expected. First, after finding out that our car was towed by them, I immediately called them. Despite the car being towed overnight, they could not locate where our vehicle. After lots of hassle the car was located in one of their facilities. We were told no one was there but once we get there someone would arrive to help us. We took an Uber and called them again once at the facility. Then we were told that we would have to wait 45 minutes for someone to arrive. Waited in the cold for 45 minutes only to be met with an extremely rude employee who wouldn't let us use the restroom facilities and charged us close to $400.

Really, really poor service and rude. I'm giving them the lowest rating possible not because the rental car was towed (which was a rental due to my car being stolen - but they don't care about what). The rating is due to the run-around and the multiple reps I had to speak to (everyone of them rude). I guess they have you car so they can act the way they want. First, they couldn't find my car in their system even though I'm sitting in the office of place my car got towed from and who have me their phone number. The rep says, "just show up at the towing location to get your car". Not accepting that answer I insisted they double-check, and low-and-behold my car was at a *different* location! But it's closed! So, they have to send someone to meet me. Except they can send them until I'm there first. Turns out, I had to wait 43 minutes after I arrived. Once the guy showed up, he wouldn't let me use the rest room, after 43 minutes of waiting. In addition, every one of the 3 phone calls and the in-person interaction was difficult and rude. Not to mention the high cost.

The company towed my car, which was entirely my fault. That is not why I'm giving them the lowest rating possible. I called trying to answer two questions: 1 if they had my car and 2 what do I need when I pick it up. A less than 1 minute conversation took ten because I couldn't get even a word out before she put me on hold. 3 different times. And she still didn't answer my questions! The woman I talked to had no respect for the fact that they were already inconveniencing me and had no respect for me over the phone. It's bad enough that I have to pay $300 to get my car back, but to be insulted like that too was just too much.

These people are just thieves , they towed my car from apartment community in Irvine and then took out my registration 2017 of my car , not even that they stole the registration papers from my car and said your car was abandoned . They were so rude when doing business with them the lady cashier(Mexican) 5 mins before closing she was like i will charge you door closing charges , I will charge you next day charges and so on .... she was asking for my 2017 registration but they had already stolen the same from my car. Friends never ever do business with these guys , they should be sued . When I reached home I found out my Navigation system was also not there in the car. Unfortunately cops do not do anything as they say that is private company and you need to deal with them.

I have no doubt that the negative reviews here are completely true and thus merited. However, based on my experience, I still have to give 2 stars only because of the woman who I dealt with at the window. I feel she did a good job getting me handled in a timely manner and was never disrespectful or rude. She has a difficult job I'm sure dealing with pissed-off people and I don't envy her one bit. She was about as pleasant as one could expect given the environment in which she works. She was nice to me. I have no problem with her, however I know this company has a bad rating for good reason(s). My brother had a terrible experience last year. Cost him almost $400!!

1.0 star rating 9/3/2016 I understand towing is a business but being rude and conducting yourself the way they do is pure evil. I went to pick up my car after it was legally towed. I understand that it was my fault and i was going to pay the price for it. Anyways I arrived at Tow and Mo 5minutes after they closed and the lady there was just about to close up. Because I was 5 minutes they charged me a gate fee and a overnight fee. I tried to argue my point but they were so rude to let me take my car without adding the 200+ extra feels. I mean come on I was just 4-5mins late. They wouldnt budge and you can easily tell that they were the most unprofessional buisness I had ever came my across so far in my life.

I was in a bind with a vehicle that needed jumped, their serviceman responded quickly as traffic allowed and resolved the issue. No complaints with HIS performance. I AM infuriated with a price discrepancy between my credit card statement and the receipt I'm currently holding. If I had the hindsight choice, I'd go with a different company.

NEVER use them!!! Nightmare!! CHP had daughter's car towed here after she was in an accident near San Juan Capistrano. 6 hours later when released from the ER, they wouldn't let her get her belongings out of the car unless she had 92.00 cash to "open the gate" because it was Saturday. They REFUSED to take a credit card. They also refused to release the car to AAA (to take to the car dealer) without the registered owner (my husband or myself) going there (we live in LA) and paying cash (again) 309.00 for 1 tow and 4 hours storage!! Two days later on Monday they REFUSED to release the car to GEICO without myself or husband being there! FINALLY we got it out by talking to a manager who works for another insurance co who said to fax a letter to them DIRECTING them release it to Geico immediately, with a copy of my license and the vehicle reg attached, and even then, it took ALL DAY for them to do so and they lost the key. This place is a collusive scam operation with CHP who will send your car there if you're in an accident, injured, and taken away in an ambulance. They keep the car as long as they possibly can to rack up the bucks, and are rude, uninformative, and uncooperative. What tow yard can't take a credit card and uses only cash??? This alone raises a big red flag. Patricia who works there is a total monster to deal with as is the owner. We are sending complaints to any official who will help close down this tax evading overcharging zero customer service scum of a company! DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!HOWEVER BAD YOUR SITUATION IS THEY ARE GUARANTEED TO MAKE IT MUCH MUCH WORST!!!
