We bought two cars from this dealer a few years apart. With the first car, I purchased their oil‑change service, and for the second car I was promised the same service. Turns out it wasn’t the same at all. The second plan only covers oil changes every 10k miles instead of 5k — yet they charge the exact same price.
Toyota’s service feels like a complete scam, and they’ll tell you whatever they need to make it sound good.
Honestly, I’m glad they showed me how bad their service really is, because I’m currently in the market for a truck, and now I know Toyota is off the table. When you’re considering a $70k vehicle, you expect real customer service and honest treatment — not this.
I’m genuinely disappointed, because I used to recommend Toyota to my friends. But now I see the service quality matches the new Tundra engines: extremely poor.Jan 31, 2026 -
My wife and I had an amazing experience at South Coast Toyota!! Kristine was amazing! She was very helpful and very attentive to our needs to getting into our new 2026 TRD Off-Road 4Runner! Hello Everyone,
So we have purchased two vehicles from South Coast Toyota. We have had both cars maintained regularly. We appreciate the service and mechanical maintenance performed by your team. However, and this is not the first time, but we just recently brought our 4runner in for a major service including breaks and rotors. Our 4runner was at the dealership for 3 days.....you guys do all that work yet drop the ball on a curtsy wash...or even a quick spray clean... Have a Little Pride in what you do! Every car that goes in for a major service should be clean when it leaves your dealership! Not Detailed...at least spayed..In my opinion..after your customer drops a bunch of money on mechanical maintenance service. the last thing they want is a dirty car..that does not carry the stoke on all the money for service...that used to be a standard that separated Toyota from the rest.

Had an oil change appointment at 10:30am for my Truck. Lobby is very uninviting. Chairs seem to be made to annoying you. Free coffee was mid. Walked around show lot. They had very low inventory. Might be because all the 2024 engine problems. (Wasn’t planning on buying since my truck is 2023, last of the greatest). Service was complete 1:15pm. Price for just oils change $128

Ms. Mahigül at Toyota provided excellent service and took great care of me throughout the entire process. I traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles specifically to trade in my car, and it was absolutely worth it. I exchanged my old car for a 2026 Toyota Camry, and she offered very flexible and convenient payment options. Everything moved quickly and smoothly. She is extremely friendly with such a positive and wonderful energy. Thank you so much!

I purchased a 2024 Toyota RAV4 from South Coast Toyota on May 22, 2024 and also bought the Tire & Wheel Protection program.
At the time of purchase, I was clearly told that this program would cover free tire replacement when the tires wear out, as well as repair or replacement in case of damage. Based on this information, I agreed to purchase the program.
Now that the tires have worn out, the dealership states that the coverage applies ONLY to damage, not wear. This is not what was promised to me at the time of sale.
I tried contacting the dealership multiple times through chat and online messages, but I received no response. I am now requesting to cancel the Tire & Wheel Protection and receive a pro-rated refund.
Very disappointed with the misleading sales practices and lack of communication. I would not recommend this dealership unless everything is clearly written in the contract.Jan 16, 2026 -

We placed a $5,000 deposit on a 2026 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium that was in transit. We were very clear we only wanted all-black TRD wheels and did NOT want the chrome-accented wheels. We were shown examples and repeatedly told the vehicle would arrive with the blacked-out wheels.
When it arrived, it had the exact wheels we said we did not want, and we were told we’d have to pay extra to get what was originally promised. The sales manager (Phil or Fidel) then changed his story and denied what was said.
We canceled the deal and got our deposit back, but this was a misrepresentation on a $60k+ vehicle.
Jason, our sales rep, was great — helpful and transparent. The issue was management.
Responding the Jessica’s reply to my initial Review
Jessica, I appreciate the response, but this does not reflect what actually occurred.
We specifically questioned the wheel description on the factory spec sheet because we did not want the machined/chrome-outline wheels. We were told multiple times by management that the vehicle would arrive with all-black wheels and were shown another 4Runner as an example of how it would look. The words “I promise” were used more than once. That assurance is the only reason we proceeded.
When the vehicle arrived with the exact wheels we had raised concerns about, the explanation changed to “there’s no way to know what would arrive,” which directly contradicts what we were told earlier. If there was uncertainty, that should have been communicated instead of giving us a guarantee.
We did not ask for a free upgrade — we asked for the vehicle to match what was promised.

Jason Kim was very helpful and was able to get me a great deal on a new vehicle. No mark ups and we were able to work out a deal. Sam in finance was also very helpful. I would recommend this dealer. Ask for Jason he will help you out.

This review is for my sales experience so far..I was looking for a specific color/featured Crown Signia Limited, had an agreed upon phone price with another dealer but that car got sold. They matched the price by phone (other dealers pulled the "your presence is your power--can't negotiate lower on the phone" nonsense). Went to see the car and they honored the quoted price. Now they did try to put some add-ons on before I got to the finance office where most of that stuff usually happens, but took them off w/o any hassle. Finance officer (Ali) was thorough and helpful, committed to letting me know the potential add-ons, and a good salesperson but not pushy and we did agree upon some extras at prices I had researched and felt were fair. My salesperson was Jason and he was very, very easy to work with. Very nice guy, genuine, not trying too hard or phony at all and I highly recommend working with him. I'm only four days out from the sale so assuming everything goes smoothly from their end with the extended warranty registration w Toyota and DMV plates arriving on time, and support for their alarm system(that I had second thoughts about but am warming up to), everything about this purchase is really good. I got the car I wanted at a fair price with no hassle. They got a couple of extras out of me, one of which I knew I wanted going in, but also at fair prices that I'm good with and that allow the dealer to make a little profit beyond the car sale. Both people (Jason Kim and Ali Russell) I worked with were great with responsive follow-up so far.

Kristine was very kind and helpful to us during our full visit, tracking down our vehicle and running around to help fill out our paperwork and get us situated during our visit. She was very sweet, upfront, and honest with us during our discussions, and really seemed to have our best interests at heart. We hope that she can continue with great business and customers, and that Toyota recognizes her efforts.
While Kristine and the staff were amazing and helpful, organization and efficiency was somewhat lacking at this location, resulting in long waits for papers, locating vehicles on the lot, and locating staff, which could be improved.Jan 04, 2026 -

SERVICE CENTER IS A SCAM! ALWAYS TAKE IT FOR A SECOND OPINION. Took my car into the service center for maintenance, ofcourse everytime you do there is a list of issues. They said the following item needs to be replaced
* both lower ball joint -torn
* both front insulator boot -torn
* both front sway bar links - torn

Hands down, one of the best experiences I have ever had in a dealership. Shout out to Fabian.I truly enjoyed working with him to get my car. No BS, no running around, no sneaky tactics. I don't really write reviews for dealers but South Coast Toyota has a unique quality that makes them stand above the rest and that is that they stick to their word. What ever our excellent salesman Fabian promised, they kept to their every word, even if it meant for the dealer to eat the cost of a discrepancy. If you want a truly honest dealer with no apologies, just professionalism, go down to South Coast Toyota, they will take care of you!!! You will leave happy with the car of your dreams!!!

Jason (sales) was great when it came to communication and answered every question I had no matter how big or small. He was very detailed and understood I was shopping around for the best price so he gave me a deal i couldn’t pass up. Ali (finance) was awesome as well. She explained everything thoroughly and wasn’t pushy like some dealers if you don’t want certain extra options but she took the time to answer any questions. Overall, shopping and working with the staff at South Coast Toyota was a positive experience.
