⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was excellent! They treated us so well — there was no tension at all during the whole process. Maximo, the young man who helped us with the sale, was very kind, reasonable, and showed great interest in helping us. He truly went above and beyond for us. Fidel, the young man who helped us with the financing, was also excellent. I give them a 10 out of 10! I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a Toyota.

Just bought a new Toyota Corolla from South Coast Toyota and had a great experience. Dennis was super helpful, easy to talk to, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Sam helped us with the contract and explained everything clearly, which I really appreciated. Me and my aunt who shopped with me are super happy with my new car! Definitely recommend checking them out 10/10.

I visited South Coast Toyota recently and had a very disappointing experience. When we entered the showroom, the receptionist paged Jason Kim, but he didn’t show up until she literally had to yell his name. From the moment he arrived, his attitude felt dismissive — as if I wasn’t qualified to be his customer. Although he went through the motions of showing the vehicle and arranging a test drive, his tone and body language made it clear that he wasn’t interested in engaging with us. When I showed him the price listed on the Toyota website, he responded sarcastically, saying, “Okay, go ahead and try and buy it there.” He also asked about my job and even remarked, “Can you understand what is written?” — which was uncalled for and condescending. As a first-time car buyer, I had gone to understand my options and learn about different financial models. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I will not be doing business with South Coast Toyota and hope the dealership addresses this kind of behavior seriously.

I am leaving this review to make the public aware of a particular finance team member, SAM ALBOUCHAKRA. Mr. Kevin Thompkins, the previous manager of Norwalk Toyota and from whom I had purchased 3 Toyota’s while he was there, procured me a Prius plug in hybrid. I took an Uber to the dealership because I was going to drive home with my new Prius. Unfortunately I returned with an Uber. Sam killed the deal. Despite the Prius coming with a decent warranty package, he tried to upsell me 2 different packages and was compelling me to do so. He made it obvious that he had a financial incentive and I felt I was getting gouged. What was going to be a comfortable $417 per month payment was turning into one close to $600. As I have a dying pet at home, I was in no mood to be treated like that. So I left. What a bitter experience. All he had to do was inform me that once the warranty packages expire we have extension options. That’s it. How unethical.

UNETHICAL - Just went in today with the October coupon mailer that I received for a full synthetic oil service and a multi-point inspection. The coupon price was $58.88. When the service advisor was ringing me up he said the amount was $78.88. When I asked why the difference, he asked, "Didn't I read the fine print?" It says in fine print at the bottom, Supras, and 0W-16, 0W-20 oil was an additional $20. I said that I would just go elsewhere and then he got his manager who also challenged me and I said I would go elsewhere. After telling him where and the price, he finally gave the okay for the original coupon price. Where the UNETHICAL part is for me is that, EVERY single current Toyota vehicle, my Corolla, and the Camry, Avalon, RAV4, Highlander, Sequoia, Tacoma, Tundra... THEY ALL use either 0W-16 or 0W-20 full synthetic. So there FULL SYNTHETIC COUPON service that they send to their entire Toyota mailing list doesn't apply to a single car they sell!

Stephanie Santiago was a pleasure to work with. She made the process so easy and painless. She had open communication the entire time and was so friendly. I came in to get some items worked on and she checked with my warranty company to make sure everything was covered. She even offered me a complimentary vehicle to use while the team waited on parts to be shipped before they can work on the car. She treated me like family. Something I was not expecting from a dealership service team. I will be recommending everyone I know to come to South Coast Toyota and to ask for Stephanie. If and when I need work done on my Toyota Prius I will be coming here. This was the best experience I've ever had when getting my car worked on. 10/10 would recommend!

False advertising!!!! Classic bait and switch!!! Saw a Grand Highlander on their website that it was a Certified Pre-Owned. Went over for a test drive and I asked the sales rep Fabian to confirm if the car was indeed certified. He assured me it was. I asked for a copy of the certification and he said that the finance department will show it to me once we do the paperwork. After we agreed on a price, asked the finance guy Christian for the certification MULTIPLE times, he said that it’s part of the paperwork that we will be signing. Instead, he wasted our time in offering different forms of extended warranties that we all declined because I was thinking that since the car is certified, we wouldn’t need all those warranties he was pushing. By the end of the process, he was going back and forth in the finance office and finally told us that the car turned out is not certified because of a recall! They could have told us that in the beginning so we could’ve made a better decision whether to get the car or not. My wife and I were so furious that we were played as fools and these guys wasted our time. I told Christian that I am also a long time business owner and I would never ever fool or mislead my clients the way they did it to us. It was so unprofessional and completely unacceptable! If we didn’t need another car asap because this car is replacing a total loss, we would’ve walked out of this deal. I ended up overpaying for a used car because of their shady ways of doing business. Do your self a favor and take your business and hard earned money somewhere else where you can get the respect you deserve.

We worked with Bill Mcquown, and it was a very easy experience. We used the Costco Car program, which meant there was no need to go back and forth on price. Picking up the car took about 90 minutes, part of which was taken up by a short drive, and by making sure our phones hooked up to the car. Bill was a prompt communicator, and was able to find the car we wanted - which we had struggled with.

Had the pleasure to connect with Parker who was never pushy on selling us a car. We let him know what we wanted and he found us the perfect family car. He kept us in the loop on the process of buying a new car. Signing at other dealerships take forever and they push for more, this dealership made it quick and easy.

My wife and I just purchased a 2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid from South Coast Toyota. Our salesman, Kevin Tompkins, was outstanding and the entire staff at South Coast were very accommodating. Kevin ordered us exactly what we wanted, including color and add on options. Kevin was an excellent communicator so we knew precisely when the vehicle was to arrive at the dealership. Before leaving the dealership with our new vehicle, Kevin spent about an hour going over every feature and every function button on the vehicle. Because of this exceptional customer service, my wife and I highly recommend South Coast Toyota and will encourage our family and friends to purchase a vehicle there as well.

I don't really write reviews for dealers but South Coast Toyota has a unique quality that makes them stand above the rest and that is that they stick to their word. What ever our excellent salesman Fabian promised, they kept to their every word, even if it meant for the dealer to eat the cost of a discrepancy. If you want a truly honest dealer with no apologies, just professionalism, go down to South Coast Toyota, they will take care of you!!! You will leave happy with the car of your dreams!!!

Jason (sales) was great when it came to communication and answered every question I had no matter how big or small. He was very detailed and understood I was shopping around for the best price so he gave me a deal i couldn’t pass up. Ali (finance) was awesome as well. She explained everything thoroughly and wasn’t pushy like some dealers if you don’t want certain extra options but she took the time to answer any questions. Overall, shopping and working with the staff at South Coast Toyota was a positive experience.

Terrible used car purchase experience from shoddy “used car sales” approach to selling and had to get assigned to another sales rep that never followed though with anything regarding communication then escalated to management that also never checked up or followed though. I literally feel like I was selling the car, absolutely unbelievable and shows how the service industry has deteriorated to never experienced before levels. I bet the guys name in the license plate frame would be highly disappointed if he knew the experience his clients are having he must now be a passive investor as he grew the company to this level of out of touch service. I came in looking for a Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX for my wife, and the team at South Coast Toyota was a joy to work with!! Our sales rep Leah was kind, welcoming and honest, and the finance team was focused on helping me navigate the many options at my disposal to take home the vehicle I wanted. Though we were unable to come to a deal that worked for me, I returned the day after and we worked out a deal to take home my wife's dream car!! I've never experienced such a level of kindness, honesty and frankly, humanity at a car dealership before. Whatever David Wilson is doing, he's doing it right. I'll be back on the market for a Tacoma TRD Sport in about 12 months, and I'll be sure to return to a David Wilson dealership when the time comes!

Had an excellent experience with south coast Toyota and working with Padra. Been looking for low mileage 2nd gen Tacoma for awhile and they got one in that met all my requirements. Pictures were not up on the site yet and he went and got them along with taking video of the truck same day I requested, came to dealership did test drive, arranged financing, and drove home with big smile. Throughout process there was excellent follow up to all my questions and concerns from start to finish. Checking out was simple and easy and zero junk fees or dealer add ons were charged. Highly recommend this dealership and Padra and look forward to working with them when in the market again and have them looking for vehicle for my father in law

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. On April 5, I traded in my old car and was assured that I wouldn't need to make any further payments on it because the dealership would cover the loan. However, I received a call from the Toyota Center seller stating that we needed to redo the contract without explaining why. He didn't return my calls and ignored my messages. Two weeks later, I visited the dealership and discovered that the previous contract had been cancelled. I signed a new contract on April 27, but this meant that my previous loan hadn't been paid off. When I tried to contact the seller again, he didn't respond. I asked him to provide a tracking number for the check, and it turned out that it was sent on May 13. Now, I've received a notice from the credit bureau stating that I've missed two payments. I trusted the dealership when they said not to worry, but now I'm in a difficult situation. My previous loan is still outstanding, and I'm receiving calls and messages about my decreased credit score. I didn't expect this kind of service.

My service advisor is Frank, he’s always pleasant and efficient. Gives me an estimated pick up time and keeps me updated when and if it changes. He does an excellent job at going over all work done and assures me that they will be there if I have any concerns. From making my appointment to checking my car in to picking up my car has always been nothing less than a great experience.
