Take Fort Bragg exit and first street on the left Last cell phone reception for 25 miles Open everyday 7am to 9pm .plenty of parking and bushes. River Access nearby . Road leads to ocean beaches and fort Bragg, a very calm and clean town. Leggett Market is very clean and Cheaper than the next market PEG HOUSE. Which charged us $5 for an energy drink. Leggett has a wide variety of Energy Drinks 2 for $5 at Leggett Market. A wide variety of beer and wine too. Chocolate, Hot dogs too. watermelons and bananas and grapes, steak and potatoes and carrots camping stoves and camping fuel. And 50 cents for a bulb of garlic and onions, Coffee is organic and reasonable. their half and half is the best quality milk. Local milk ( Clover) .The camping equipment is reasonably priced. .The cell phone chargers are reasonably priced. The staff is longtime local and friendly and helpful. I wish they'd buy that gas station next door (open 10 to 2pm.maybe ) We can't have cars running out of gas on these windy turns because it can cause a big wreck. " "When the road gets that "windy" (curvy) and the shoulders disappear, running out of gas isn't just an inconvenience; it becomes a major safety hazard for both the stranded driver and oncoming traffic. Why that stretch is so dangerous Zero Shoulder: In many parts of the Redwood Empire, the road is carved directly into cliffs or squeezed between massive ancient trees. There is literally nowhere to pull over. Blind Curves: If a car stalls out of gas around a bend, an approaching driver often has less than two seconds to react. Logging Trucks: These heavy vehicles frequent the 101 and cannot stop or maneuver quickly if a vehicle is blocking the lane. Poor Reception: If you run out of gas in those deep canyons, you often won't have cell service to call for a tow.

Only convenience store for miles & miles. To bad the next door Post Office burned down, .... cuz that's the only way I would stop here.

Beyond the Redwoods is the last place you would think government masking control would be taken seriously.

Who bought this place and why do they hate putting price signs up? But hey, no price tag/signs means I am too poor for this store, pretty sure. Some items are priced, because whoever owned it before was pretty good about marking prices. Whoever bought this place has a vendetta against price tags.

Stopped here for breakfast recommendations. They suggested the Eel River Cafe in Garberville. Great advice. Friendly staff at the store, fun to talk to and very welcoming.

I have not personally stopped at this market and now will never intentionally make this a business to support. On 2/23/23 about 20 people were stranded due to snow and road closers north and south on Highway 101. The person working at the market wouldn't allow use of the restroom or access to water. Most of those stranded had to sleep in their cars (as the snow continued) and were not able to leave until daylight when Caltrans plowed a path south. A small act of kindness from the store employee probably would have benefited business (sales) and at least not a negative google review...

Considering it was in the middle of almost nowhere the place was such fresh air. Wide aisles, clean, friendly staff, great selection of snacks and drinks and great beef jerky without added sugar!

Get the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake! It’s the best pre-packaged trashy gas station treat you’ve never heard of.

Nice people, prices are what you would expect in this location, probably the last chance before Laytonville to get anything.

I love that part of the country. Love the redwood trees. Love the drive-through tree. And the general area is beautiful.

Cute local spot with anything you might need. Price definitely reflects this place being one of the only ones on the area.

For what we paid and what we got... Good value. I want to drive up with my own car and get a picture or two (this trip was with her car). There's more to the place than just a tree. Big wood carvings, meadows, redwoods... And a gift shop with a variety of things to buy. If it's not swamped, it's a very pleasant, quick stop unless you want to kill time and wander around.

Found everything I needed for BBQ-ing, cashiers were helpful, 4 stars only because of no public restroom.

To be honest, most of what we needed we could get at the place across from Hicky but that said, it is kinda a cool little stop that seems almost lost to time.
