I came in November for an oil change and left with the best service advisor in the world. Conor McCormick (Senior Service Advisor) got my car in and out super fast, and showed me a few more options and services that he recommends for my honda. I was very pleased with my experience at Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks. From the time I arrived for my appointment, I felt like I was being taken care of. The person I had the appointment with was not yet available, and they seamlessly had another person take over, and competently work with me, and as a car enthusiast myself, I was pleased that they knew about both the cars they sold, but cars in general, and I enjoyed talking cars with them. When my appointment salesperson arrived, she came and introduced herself, and I was not shuffled back over to her, but she assured me the person helping me would continue to take care of me, and she would be assisting as necessary, and when they walked away for any reason, she would check in with me. When it came to negotiations, it was straightforward, transparent, and things moved relatively quickly and smoothly. The new Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Hatchback I was interested in was exactly as advertised, and once we agreed on a deal, financing moved along just as well. While I feel like I am a pretty straightforward buyer, this dealer seemed to make a real effort to not only make the process as comfortable as possible, but also be cognizant of my time as well, and the customer service at their Honda store was just as impressive as it was at their Lexus store when we purchased a car their the previous weekend for my daughter! I would not only recommend this dealer, but when I am in the market again, I will happily travel back out to Thousand Oaks from my home in west L.A. to work with them.

I bought a CRV Hybrid last night from Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks. Anahita was simply amazing to work with. I felt so comfortable with her. I don't normally enjoy the car buying experience, but this time it was such a good experience I wanted to write a review. I would highly recommend others to buy a great Honda from Thousand Oaks because they were fair and knowledgeable. Great experience!

I have used Swickard Honda for my maintenance visits since I purchased my 2023 Honda, and frankly at times I've been unimpressed with their customer service. In my most recent experience on January 6th I was treated totally different by their Service Associate. Her name is Lilia and she was and is, in my opinion a "shining star" who Swickard needs to clone her, or at least formally recognize her incredible customer service skills. Beyond a doubt , professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and very kind and caring. Swickard Honda is fortunate to have hired Lilia. I urge you to recognize that.

Overall: a shady experience with predatory practices. My experience was related to a Used car I was planning to finance.

I had a turbulent experience from the outset, resulting in several red flags.
There was a $500 discount listed online which applied to 'All Cars' which they gave me an uphill battle to claim.
They couldn't present documentation showing that expensive, mandatory work had recently been done on the car (which they refused to look into, or credit towards estimated repair costs).
The discount on their website would have covered a portion of the potential cost, but they were saying that THIS car I guess didn't apply as 'all cars.'
They did pay for me to have an Uber there, which was a green flag that they were serious and had good intentions, but when I was onsite it was clear they expected that since I didn't have a car I'd just rollover and accept whatever they said since I had no way home.
The car had many obvious cosmetic and mechanical flaws that were not clear on the website. I still was going to move forward, understanding that 'in general' it was a cheap car and I would likely get stuck with repair costs very soon.
Then after they ran my credit, they added on a $500 charge for CLEAR coating which they said they do to all of their cars, and refused to remove the charge until I was about to walk away. The finance manager was aggressive and asked "is this really a make or break for this deal?" saying that it was 'on the sticker'. I was offended and walked out to cool off, to check out other dealerships in the area.
In the end they text me saying they'd waive it and give me additional discounts; both of which were things I was asking for in the outset which all of a sudden were easy to do. I decided against it, concerned that doing business with this dealer would likely result in other issues down the line.

I came in the day before Christmas Eve, no appt… with a flat. Lilia took my car back right away and helped me get all the needed paperwork for the warranty company in order to get reimbursed! I was out within about an hour! 1000/10 experience! Thank you so much

Easiest car buying process we’ve had in a long time. Our salesman, Z, was very nice and helped us get a great price on our new CRV. No pressure and very helpful. I’d definitely buy a car from him again!!

Here’s the honest truth! Buying a car almost two years ago (finding out now I was scammed in thr price and my financial person messed up my contract) to buying another new car the other day, we’re two different experiences. Walking in I was greeted by Amir with a smile and ready to help me. Once I explained why I was there for the new purchase, the whole process was just to smooth! Amir made the magic happen and Tim (my new financial manager) pulled out his guns and got my contract done within minutes. I was so pleased with the overall process that I can’t wait to tell my friends and family. CONGRATS Amir !

Daniel Moreno is a knowledgeable, calm and patient salesman. He never pushed us for the hard sale. Daniel showed us the model car we were curious about (certified used and new). Little did we know we'd walk out about 3 to 3.5 hours later with a new 2026 Honda HR-V. "We were just looking"...sigh, famous last words! Daniel guided us through the process, answered our questions, and never once hurried us. The only stress was internal: "Can I afford this? How can I afford this? Do I really need this car?" The answers were yes. Great experience!

Took my car in for a recall and an inspection. The recall took 8 hours to do and the inspection was never completed. After picking up my car, i had to return the following day for the paperwork which was not ready nor complete. Gal was my service member but i only ever saw him when i dropped the car off. When i called to ask when my car would be completed, a woman answered and was incredibly rude and eventually hung up on me. I would recommend going to any other dealership as the staff at this one are unprofessional and incompetent

Christina was professional and courteous. When she quoted me the price that was higher than the online price, she asked me if I had proof of it. I said I can look at my reservation that I made and I couldn’t find it. At the same time, Christina was doing the research herself she was able to locate and confirm the advertisement. She then checked with her manager and offered me the online price. Taking the time and effort to address any questions or concerns is a big deal and I appreciate Christina’s efforts in going above and beyond.

Can't recommend the dealership. Neither salesman we dealt with could answer even simple questions about the car, the warranty or financing. They just made stuff up that was all totally wrong. They were not at all respectful of our time. The dealership adds-on a bunch of useless stuff to the car and refuses to remove it from the sales price, just pure money grabs. This was despite the fact that before we even test drove the car, the salesman said they'd definitely remove that. Not only was that not the case, but they added on an additional $9000 of BS, just as a slap in the face and insult to our intelligence. I wasted 90 minutes there for nothing, and we drove down the road to Oxnard Honda where they were at least more honest and respectful (but still tried to fluff up the price, note, "tried"). I would just skip this place entirely.

Omar was fantastic. He cut straight to the chase (knowing that I had come from another dealership), didn't treat me like I was dumb, and went above and beyond in knowledge and customer service to quickly find me the vehicle I was looking for. It was a great experience all around. He didn't come off pushy, but was willing to make my experience easy. Vehicle bought was for my parents and the dealership allowed me to drive it 20 miles to show my parents (since they've got difficulty traveling) before purchasing. And pricing was fair. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership and Omar.

During my recent oil change visit, two of your representatives informed me that my vehicle required a transmission fluid change due to mileage. I agreed to proceed, but since I was short on time that day, I scheduled the service for the next day.
When I brought my car back, your team then discovered that the transmission fluid had already been changed just a couple of months ago. This clearly shows that my vehicle’s service history was not reviewed before the recommendation was made. Had I not checked, I would have paid for a duplicate $600 service that was completely unnecessary.
This oversight is unacceptable. I bought this car from this dealership and I feel like your service people have no customer care they were just gonna make me spend $600 for something that didn’t need.Nov 09, 2025 -
At Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks I had an amazing and upstanding experience in the Service Department for my wife's first service on her 2025 Honda Accord, Conor was my Service Advisor and was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to any questions I had throughout the process, he was amazing and had excellent customer service. From now on when I come to Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks I will always ask for Conor! He is very knowledgeable when it comes to Hondas and what they need for their service and informed me on any upcoming services I need or will need in the future. Jason at Swickard couldn't have taken better care of me and my vehicle recently. I have a 2015 Honda Accord that for the last year has experienced cylinder misfires for no less than a year. I originally brought my vehicle to a different Honda service center to have it diagnosed, paid a bunch of money to try to pinpoint the issue, got the car back - still misfiring. So I took it to a private mechanic next. Same exact thing. I was so discouraged I let my car sit for ~8 months before I finally brought it to Swickard in TO. Jason pulled up my maintenance history, saw that I had dumped over $1500 into diagnosis alone (without luck), and he immediately took action to ask Honda corporate if I would be eligible for a Honda "charity" of sorts, where I'd pay a small deductible, and the rest Honda pays for. Jason managed all the communications with Honda corporate, and they approved the request! I could have spent another $2,000 trying to fix the same exact problem I tried fixing a year prior with no luck, but Honda covered 90% of the final bill. After a couple days, Swickard service guys finally got to the bottom of the problem (faulty fuel injectors). My car hasn't run this well in over a year and I just wanted to leave a public review for Swickard and especially Jason who made the whole thing happen.

Ben and Danny were amazing to work with at Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks. They made us feel like Family they listen to our needs and they didn’t bully or pressure us into buying a car. My husband and I went to several dealerships before deciding to purchase a car at Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks And the other dealerships made us feel like we were being bullied into buying a car we didn’t want so we left those dealerships and went and saw Ben and Danny (not Daniel, I’m sure he is great too). From walking on the lot to signing all the papers and leaving with an amazing car everyone at Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks were amazing.

Ruben was the car salesman that helped me. Really great guy and was very straight forward and Honda helpful. Ruben is a man who likes to help their customers drive off in a car they will love and will make sure you are heard and is appreciated by the Honda family. We went to this dealership expecting transparent pricing, but that’s not what we got. The car we were interested in had a sticker price of $8,777, yet when the financing paperwork was shown, the total jumped to almost $13,000 because of “optional” add-ons that were actually required in the deal.
When we questioned this, the finance representative, Arian, was dismissive and said, “It’s already done, so you have to pay.” He also claimed that “all dealerships in Thousand Oaks do it the same way.” His attitude was rude and unprofessional — definitely not what you’d expect from a business that wants to earn or retain customers, especially one representing Helpful Honda. Very disappointing. Instead of recommending Honda of Thousand Oaks, we’ll be warning friends and family to stay away.
When we asked why we weren’t told the real price of the car, we were told the full price (including add-ons) was listed online or on the vehicle — but when we checked, there was no pricing information online and nothing posted on the car itself. We even went back to double-check after leaving. Later, we noticed the online price had dropped to $8,490, with no mention of any additional add-ons.
Dealerships are legally required to display transparent and accurate pricing, and this experience felt deceptive and unethical. We strongly recommend reviewing every line item carefully and getting everything in writing before doing business here. Be careful!Oct 08, 2025 -

I had the absolute best experience I have ever had at a service department thanks to my advisor Jason and service manager Melvin. They were extremely helpful and professional. I was really stressed out about an ongoing issue with my car and they completely relieved that stress and took care of me. Even the general manager of the dealership Paul got involved and was so kind and helpful. If you’re like me and have a Civic with the AC issues, ask for Melvin and Jason as your advisor, they will help you every step of the way.

I was looking at the CRV hybrid but I was unsure it was what I wanted. Omar was friendly, informative and flexible. He took the time to take me to the back lot where I found the new Trailsport. I test drove it and really liked it. The next day I called Omar to look at other CRVs. He took me to another lot to look at other options. In the end I leased the 2026 Trailsport. While I was deciding on the car I never felt pressured at all to buy the car. Omar was honest about benefits of leasing vs. purchasing the car. I would highly recommend seeing Omar if you are looking for a new Honda!
