If there was 0 stars I would have picked that. This place does not even deserve 1 star. Rude workers and I spent over $1,000 to attempt to fix my vehicle and did not fix the issue they replaced the Evap. Took my vehicle to another shop. They fixed it in 2hr and turns out it was not the evap it was a wiring issue. Since the check engine light code was reading circuit codes. Don’t trust this place , save your self time , and money and a headache !

Please save your self some money and a headache and DO NOT COME HERE! they put a broken after market piece in my car and didn’t even put it on right. Another place had to redo the job and did it for a cheaper price !! This place is horrible and they are rude!

If you like taking your car to a place that you have to leave it three days to get basic work done, then return it for three more days to have it done again, this is your place!

Guys who work here are great. Get the work done, and importantly don't push on stuff you don't want to get done. I brought in my car knowing the struts and control arms were shot and they only did my engine mounts like asked. Quoted me for the rest and left it there. They so charged me about $600 less than the dealership. I will be bringing my car back again.

2 years back I used to come here frequently for major repairs. Got a turbo replacement for a couple thousand and i had to bring it back 3 times bc of a leak it had despite being new. Had an oil pan replacement that still leaked after install. Brought it back once and got it fixed. Payed a fortune for a timing cover gasket and a valve cover seal replacement. Still Leaked despite bringing it back Again. Owner seems alright, how ever definitely was a waste of money until I changed to a different shop to replace everything they did. They told me it was all wrong and my car never leaked ever again. Spent thousands of dollars here. Would not recommend unless you’re low on money. Would also help if their mechanics actually bolted everything to spec. Wastes a little bit more time but it looks better when people are walking by.

The man does not value his customers. My expansion tank was leaking coolant so I was putting green coolant in it (because it’s cheaper than the blue coolant my car requires) just for the time being until I could get everything replaced. He replaced the tank with a non-original part that looked nothing like the one that was there prior. He then gave me a whole speech about how I should NEVER put green coolant in my car because it’s bad for it. I asked him if the correct blue coolant had been placed inside he said yes. Then one day my dad and I were doing simple work to change the spark plugs and hit the tubing for the makeshift tank he placed and it popped off and started spewing coolant everywhere. Flimsy. And guess what color the coolant it was spewing was? Green. I ended up paying a different shop to do a fluid exchange. The man is not trustworthy I used to drive all the way from sf to sj for them but it’s not worth it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a woman or what all the good reviews seem to be from men. Just AVOID.

Great shop, miss having these old school VWs spots still around, Arnold was super helpful.

A1 German takes good care of me. I have been going for a few years now and l am very comfortable with them and trust that they will give their customers the best fair price. They show you pictures of the parts on your car that is having problems, and will save your parts to show you that are from your car. The front desk personnel are so polite. They are very busy as a auto shop should be. We don’t see what is going on in the back so we don’t know how many cars they are working on but they do their best endeavor to get your car back to you as quick as they can. As patrons we have to be patient especially during the Covid because parts are even more difficult to acquire and may delay your car being finished.

These Guys are super helpful and answer any questions you can think of...Used parts at a reasonable price. Thank you A German Auto!!!!

Do not take your car here. I swear to God you will regret it. This place has to be some sort of money laundering operation because the people working will purposely toy with you, tell you they are doing work that they aren't. They get joy out of seeing how long they can keep your car all whilst telling you the entire time that the car will be done in 2 hours. The owner Farzad Berenji seems to be some sort of scam artist. I hope Federal agencies look into him.

Arnold was very helpful in locating a rare ABS Module with traction control for my BMW 850i. His thoughtfulness and diligent investigation as a professional who enjoys new challenges was very refreshing. If you need a foreign German part that is no longer manufactured or obsoleted, give him a call first!

NEGATIVE -1 STAR...all work was not completed properly, as with previous reviews no communication, prices are quite high for less than quality work, and no time frame for when your car will be ready. My experience unlike others was less than pleasurable.

Don’t even bother bringing your car here. They mentioned how the problem of my car was that I needed a new engine and of course I didn’t believe it because my car is not to old. The next day I took my car to a specialist electrical body shop and they found the real problems.

Attempted to purchase Seat rails for a 2010 A4. Missing mine from the sport seats, was told I had to buy the whole seat which I'm fine with. Called again after verifying the seats after speaking with the manager wanting me to confirm my year. I confirmed they would match since their seat is an 09. Their reply was "the seat is an 09 and that we don't care about the rails "bro"... I told him I had spoken to other person"manager" about confirming the year and mine is a 2010 so they will work. The customer service person was still being rude , obviously not knowing I had spoken to someone else who he had transferred me to. I told them it was fine, I would buy the seat tracks from online, they are $100 anyways. They wanted $140 for a full seat, I'll take my business elsewhere and pay less. I was willing to pay the full price but apparently we, customers , don't know much more about the cars that they do......

Poor customer service with signicant difficulty with placing orders over the phone. Would not recommend if you need parts to arrive within a two week time frame. YMMV if parts are stocked locally.. Based on the previous lower ratings shows a common issue where there is poor customer service which my experience as well. I was placed on hold also immediately but was fine because they seemed busy. After 3 minutes on hold I was able to make my request for parts. However this where it went down hill. In the middle of talking to him he puts the phone and spends 6 minutes helping another customer at the store. He picks back up the phone and doesn't apologize and asked what I wanted. A little frustrated, I resumed the describing the part I wanted and the phone rings and we repeat the same earlier process. I just need to order a rim to match a set on my car. Fast forward to two weeks with a follow up call and emails back and forth my part has still not been ordered.

Had a little problem with my 325 BMW convertible and we diagnosed the problem as my girlfriend lost the only key left well changing out key cylinders is in a problem when you got a key but when you don't have one oh no he recommended what can be done and how he does it instead of just ordering the cylinder he orders the whole assembly so that way you don't have to work so hard or I don't think he's even tried to do that but it's easier to replace that assembly and it's a lot more expensive well I decided to get the new cylinder with two keys and give it my best shot I must say that BMW makes a wonderful ignition cylinder set today's and a lot of tiny tools it took a while but with their help of getting me the cylinder in one day I finally got it back on the road so where else do you go when you get treated well the same place over and over when you get good service and honesty if it's expensive he'll tell you and if you can help you with a good deal he will what more could you ask for

Don't know how they have 4 stars. I called in to check some prices and the guy over phone was pretty rude. You don't have to be sweet but be respectful to your customers when they call in or show up. I asked for a price confirmation of couple of parts and the person over the phone seems pretty frustrated. I don't understand why you have to be rude to your customers.

This is the place to go when your luxury European petrol car needs hard to find parts. The desk does part research for you and they have wreckers on site. I ordered a part and got it 2 hrs later.... good guys...

Reasonably priced auto parts and German make specific fluids. I was expecting to spend a little bit more on an oil fil cap for a BMW. Pentosin oil for German makes are comparable to any full synthetic Euro oil you could find at your local auto parts chains.

A-German really goes the extra mile to find the part you need and provide excellent service and mechanic work. They are sometimes a bit costly, but it is well worth it in the long run. It will be done correctly which is what I am looking for in a mechanic/auto shop. Staff is personable and accessible. Place is a bit tight to navigate in and out of, but nothing too crazy.

Well-stocked auto-part recycling facility with friendly staff. I've purchased a number of VW parts for my 1982 Scirocco restoration project and been able to get oddball items like a tachometer in perfect shape, A/C relays, brake cable mounting brackets, etc.

Service was good. I've gone here a couple times for repairs. They sell used and new parts at competitive prices, fair labor charge. I've never had any problems with their repairs. Only complaint is that they've switched out my rear license frame with their black license frame, twice. They were kind enough to give me back my license frame back.
