Outrageously expensive and unreasonable charges. I was charged $280 for towing, $130 per day for storage, plus an additional $140 “after-hours” fee. These costs added up extremely fast and were not clearly explained upfront.
The tow occurred over the weekend when the company was unreachable, yet storage and extra fees continued to accrue, leaving no reasonable way to retrieve the vehicle and avoid these charges.
The lack of pricing transparency and justification for such high fees is very concerning. I strongly caution others to be aware of how costly this towing company can be.Jan 08, 2026 -
Awful and predatory service it should be illegal i was towed from my own parking lot they want to charge $600 and the woman hung up on me everyone hates them I hope they get their day in hell

Unreasonable pricing.. takes advantage as people have no option but to pay up to get the car. Charged $550 including $130 storage charge for half an hour and $150 to open their storage gate to retrieve the car. Even speeding tickets doesn’t cause this much. Predatory business practices. One the their worker asked us to catch them on highway in order to avoid storage fees… this is ridiculous and they know it. Never ever do any business with them.
Need to put an end to their predatory business practices. Don’t understand how this company is still in business. Inhumane to take advantage of desperate people to just get their cars.Jan 04, 2026 -
Wish I could give negative stars. Absolute scam horrible shady business. I had a permit to park on my street with timestamps and they told me i "wasn’t registered at the time". What time?? I’ve been parked out there for so long without issue! Charged me to store my car for a day, randomly towed at 4am? Lady on the phone was beyond nasty and rude and could barely breathe. Said it doesn’t matter what I have to say? Even worse - I see the same guy in the same truck a few days later just parking and waiting in courts in the neighborhood! What are you waiting for?? Waiting around to scam people - get a life. Scamming people without valid reason for some change. Paid $500+ for a tow that they got WRONG. Hope someone looks into this business because they are not legit

Predatory and unreasonable towing practices.
My car was towed with a warning placed at 7:55 PM and removed at 8:25 PM. I retrieved my vehicle at 9:03 PM the same evening, meaning the entire process took less than one hour.
Despite this, I was charged $550, including a full day of storage fee and an after-hours release fee, even though there was no overnight storage and no extended holding time. Payment was required immediately to retrieve my vehicle, leaving no meaningful opportunity to dispute the charges.
The staff was dismissive and unwilling to discuss the obvious mismatch between the actual timeline and the fees charged. This felt less like reasonable enforcement and more like taking advantage of a situation where the customer has no real choice but to pay.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend documenting everything and understanding your rights before dealing with this company.Dec 14, 2025 -
While visiting family, I obtained a temporary parking permit from the complex AND was parked in a designated temporary parking space as designated by the complex. Rebello's still towed my car and tried to charge me $280 for the tow and $130 for one days storage when the car was on their lot 37 minutes. Thankfully the apartment complex made them waive the fee. Their website states they take accountability for their errors but they refused to pay me for my time wasted on retrieving my car.

Predatory Towing Practices - $550 for 40 Minutes
I parked in a guest parking spot directly in front of my friend's apartment to drop something off on a weekend. I was gone less than 15 minutes. When I returned, my car had been towed by Robellos Towing.
The company held my vehicle for less than 40 minutes total and charged me $550 to retrieve it. When I tried to explain the situation, the staff were dismissive, rude, and unwilling to listen to any reasoning whatsoever.
This felt less like a legitimate towing operation and more like an extortion scheme. The speed of the tow, the exorbitant fee for minimal time, and the complete lack of customer service or willingness to consider the circumstances all point to predatory business practices.
I'm filing this complaint so others are aware of how this company operates. If you park anywhere serviced by Robellos, be warned: they prioritize profits over fairness, and you'll be treated with hostility if you question their fees.Nov 30, 2025 -
I live at the Midtown apartment. This towing company is the most predatory towing company I’ve ever experienced! my car already got towed twice, one time it was for my assigned parking space and it’s just insane. I feel like they’re working with midtown apartments because midtown doesn’t not care about their tenants as they continue to allow these thieves to come steal our personal properties. It’s like robbery with loopholes. I’m sorry for everyone else out there that has been fallen victim to them.
I hope the universe rewards you for every pain you afflict on the community, I hope your nights are filled with nightmares, what a disgusting way to make “a living”!Nov 18, 2025 -
NOTICE for anyone who lives in the Waterstone Community in Milpitas.
HOA was never notified nor gave authorization to tow our vehicles recently. This means either someone is reporting OR they are PATROLLING and towing on their own.
If you are parked in a questionable spot, they patrol around 6:00 AM
EDIT: THESE LOSERS ARE PATROLLING THE PROPERTYNov 14, 2025 -
Super predatory towing service if you are hiring a towing service for a parking lot, please look elsewhere!
I was towed from my own apartment complex at 10pm at night (less than 4 hours from parking) because I forgot to pull my pass out from my center console. I went to their lot to pick it up immediately in the morning, it had been there less than 12 hours and cost me $410
I was hoping my apartment might care that their own resident got towed just for forgetting a parking pass in the console. So I asked if Rebellos would witness that the parking pass was there in the console and write a brief note about it so that I could show my apartment complex. They said no in a harsh manner and I began to cry. There was no compassion shown towards me. I was paying their ridiculously high fee already, so I didn’t understand why they couldn’t spare a few minutes to write me a note.
The way I was treated felt heartless, I hope parking lot owners choose a more compassionate company. Also, driving around to tow people at 10pm seems super predatory.Oct 24, 2025 -
$400+ to retrieve your vehicle?
This company is on HELL'S borrowed time.
You can't expect to make it to Heaven by ruining peoples lives over profit.
That's not moral.
I was a security guard years ago. I had to call in a tow. I took as long as possible so the person could return but they didnt.Oct 01, 2025 -
Don't get tricked by their website. They charged unreasonably high fees for towing and car storage and preyed on people just to get money. They have no rationale for the fees. They know most people cannot study the laws and file lawsuits against them, and people want their cars back, so they can do whatever they want and charge you unreasonably high prices.
Also, avoid living in any apartment complexes that partnered with them to manage parking, they are extremely harsh towards residents' cars.Sep 23, 2025 -
Stay away from any apartment that contracts with these guys. Shame on Essex and Waterford Apartment who gives these guys full control over the lots. Its my spot, and they took my car at 2am.
Legal scam right here.Sep 17, 2025 -
They towed my car from my parking spot at the apartment twice in a month. Looks like they learned an easy way to earn money as my car is lightweight on 1st floor and also close to the exit. Nearly $1000 in a month. It is stupid.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others are aware.
My vehicle, a 2005 Honda Civic EX Coupe, was towed by Rebello’s Towing Services on August 23, 2025. From the beginning, the process was stressful and poorly handled:
I was not provided any signed tow authorization or photos of posted tow-away signs, which are required by California Vehicle Code §22658.
When I arrived with proof of ownership, bill of sale, keys in hand, and photos of my car, I was told the car “wasn’t in their system” and “wasn’t in their yard” — even though it actually was.
It took multiple visits, calls, and emails before they acknowledged having my vehicle, which caused unnecessary delays and loss of work hours.
The staff gave inconsistent information, making an already stressful situation worse.
I’ve requested the proper documents several times, but they still haven’t provided them. This lack of transparency and professionalism is unacceptable, and I would caution anyone dealing with this company to know their rights under California law.Aug 27, 2025 -
terrible experience with Towing Service. towed my car from my own assigned and paid parking spot—in my indoor parking garage! which was clearly approved and registered by my apartment management, at 2AM. When I called to explain, they were extremely rude. I was forced to pay $410 to get my car back for a mistake that wasn’t mine. Denying liability, dodging all questions, classic scam acts. Completely unprofessional and unethical behavior.
Who would tow someone at their private parking spot and be so condescending and righteous about themselves? You sleep well for how you profit? UnbelievableAug 12, 2025 -
I understand that they get called to do a service. So they have the ability to charge whatever they want and let me tell you they do! We are not hurting anyone by being parked in a parking lot! Me and my daughters cars were both towed by them from a parking lot we have been parking in for years and again I know they are just doing a job but to charge $550 dollars a car to get it back is insane!!! As a single mother supporting two kids, that is not an amount of money that I just have available! I really wish all business owners had a heart

Rebello’s Towing is a total scam operation. They snatched my car without reason, treated me like an inconvenience when I asked why, and then demanded absurd fees to get it back. The lot is a dump, the staff are hostile, and the whole process is slow and intentionally miserable. They know they’ve got you trapped, and they milk it for every dollar. Absolutely predatory and shameless — avoid them at all costs.

They towed my car before the 90-minute mark, even though I was on my way to move it. I woke up at 9:13 AM, knowing I had until 9:30 since the sign says towing begins at 8:00 AM and allows 90 minutes. I walked a long way to get to the car, and by the time I arrived—around 9:19—it was already gone.
This isn’t right. I park there regularly because there’s no overnight parking available in the resident lot.
No warning. No grace period. Not even 15 minutes after the 90-minute start time, and they had already taken it. My brother confronted them and asked why they towed early, and the employee literally walked away without answering. They ignored the posted rules AND our questions.
Now we’re being charged almost $400 for something that wasn’t even our fault.
This is the SECOND time this has happened to us. It feels like they’re just out to take people's money without following their own posted rules. I even have video proof with the date and time clearly showing they towed before the allowed 90-minute window.
What happens if someone is walking from far away to move their car? Do they not care?
PLEASE SHARE this. They need to be held accountable.
This isn’t just frustrating — it’s dishonest.Aug 06, 2025 -
This kinda bullshit they didn’t answer the question and my brother asked them why they towed a car even its not 90 minutes yet? Even has a poster in there and my brother talked to the little guy and he just walked out, he didn't answer the question why they had already towed the car even though it hadn't been 90 minutes? WHY ?someone tell them to police they didn’t follow the freaking instructions and give back our money who those experience THIS!! this is my 2nd time they want only a money I WILL POST IT in to social medias

If I could give Rebello’s Towing zero stars, I would. This company is the epitome of everything wrong with predatory towing services — rude staff, absurd fees, complete lack of accountability, and zero regard for basic customer service or decency.
My vehicle was towed with no notice, no warning, and no valid reason. When I called to understand what happened, I was met with attitude, sarcasm, and absolutely no willingness to explain anything. The staff — if you can even call them that — are some of the most unprofessional and condescending people I’ve ever spoken to. It's like they go out of their way to make the experience as painful as possible.
The yard where they keep your car is a nightmare. Filthy, disorganized, and surrounded by barbed wire like you're trying to retrieve contraband from a prison. The release process is intentionally slow and chaotic, clearly designed to frustrate you into giving up or paying extra fees just to be done with it.
And speaking of fees — they're outrageous. You'd think they were storing your car in a climate-controlled luxury garage with the way they nickel and dime you for every minute it's on their lot. It’s a blatant money grab, and they know you’re desperate, which makes it even more disgusting.
Bottom line: Rebello’s Towing is a shady, predatory operation that preys on people in vulnerable situations. If you have any way to avoid doing business with them — do it. And if your car gets towed there, be prepared for a long, expensive, and infuriating ordeal. Absolutely shameful company.Aug 06, 2025 -
I can’t imagine that a tow company would have higher than a 1 star rating so just keeping it consistent. Thank you to Rebello towing for towing our car from behind our garage while singing happy birthday to our 7 year old. To add salt to the wound, they have the audacity to break down their fees like you can pick and choose what you will pay to retrieve your car when they literally just wheeled it away and it is one fixed price. $280 for the tow, $130 for the gate (which they didn’t even need to open because we were right behind them), $140 for after hours @ 5:30 pm. To the driver who wouldn’t even stop to tell us where we could call - may your seatbelt rub just the wrong way, your coffee always be lukewarm, and may every itch be just out of reach. And if the universe is truly just, may the moment you finally find a bathroom be one minute too late.

If anyone knows how to shut this business down I will try my best to shut it down like they tried to tow my car . They are really bad. They do everything they can to make money from towing. They are really bad at it and don’t think bad things will happen to them when they are that bad. They towed my car and drove it around to get mileage. I turned on the tracker and followed them the whole way. I ran after them when they dropped my car off in the parking lot and that’s when I wanted to pick it up. He told me I had to pay $550 to pick it up at that point. They make up their own rules to make more money from us. I don’t understand how they can survive with their ridiculous rules. We ran after the car and agreed to pay him to drive around San Jose for fun! But they wanted more money, it was ridiculous. If I could give them a negative score, I hope they get shut down and fined. Can they take that money and still survive. and the places that cooperate with this place to take our money, I pray they live in peace.…….

UNETHICAL business! this spot just towed my aunts car and it was $530! It was parked at target and she was in and out of that place in under 15 mins before realizing her car was gone. Her handicap sign had expired a few days ago and she had read her expiration date wrong. The fact that she was in and out for only a few minutes and have her car gone and towed is insane, it's like the towing place drives around looking for people's car that they can tow so that they can profit-- the amount charged was just ROBBERY and not justified. They charged her for the tow fee $270, storage fee $125, and the after hour fee $135 which added up to $530.That is crazy! this place will charge anything and everything.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL, no business should be able to charge that much and should be AUDITED and checked. Horrible business practice and greedy.Jul 01, 2025 -
My experience with Rebello Towing on June 28 was absolutely unacceptable and should serve as a warning to anyone dealing with them.
My Volkswagen ID.4 was legally parked and registered at Amalfi Apartments, Milpitas. Unfortunately, I made an honest mistake by entering one wrong digit in my license plate number during registration — typed an 8 instead of a 9. The car make, model, and all other details were 100% accurate.
Despite this, Hamayuon, the tow truck driver from Rebello, towed my vehicle without using any discretion or attempting to verify the situation. I paid $530 to retrieve it.
What made the situation worse was the arrogant and dismissive behavior I encountered from the towing company's staff:
David, the supervisor, acknowledged that the car was registered and admitted the mistake was minor yet refused to help in any way.
Dave, who I understand is the owner or boss, repeatedly told me this was a “waste of time” and showed zero empathy or accountability.
Hamayuon, the driver, was robotic and rude, towing without question even though the vehicle was visibly legitimate and registered.
I provided:
Proof of parking registration
Tow receipt
Verbal confirmation from the apartment that the car was registered
Still, no refund, no resolution, just complete stonewalling. This was clearly a predatory tow exploiting a minor typo to charge over $500.
This company profits off residents' honest mistakes and hides behind technicalities instead of using fair judgment or customer service.
Dealing with them feels less like a towing service and more like being shaken down by a mafia-style operation. Once they’ve towed your car, they’ll charge outrageous fees and make it nearly impossible to get a refund.Jun 30, 2025 -
This is another example of a lawless state (CA). This company operates on fishy and predatory practices. Someone has to put an end to it.
For the first time, I went to the PayPal park to watch a soccer match. I was running late and there was a big line to the stadium parking lot. I saw the public plaza next to the stadium and to my surprise there were plenty of spots available. Remember this was Saturday night when all the business except In&Out were closed. I parked there as I didn't see any sign indicating a tow-away zone. Long story short, this scam company towed my car and charged me $530. The whole thing took less than 2 hrs. I had to pay because it was midnight as I had to go back to SF; 3 other people were with me.
This is a clear example of a fishy business. They want people to park at that plaza otherwise there should be a sign on every single spot just like other places.
I will take them to small calim courts but I truly feel that we have abandoned from authorities to live with disgrace people like this company. We as people can get together and file a class-action sue.Feb 24, 2025 -
Those fraudsters scratched my car and my neighbor’s car. I park my car regularly every day in my assigned parking spot in the parking garage of my complex. One day, I saw them attempting to tow my car out of the parking garage and it scratched both my car and my neighbor’s car. While I was yelling at them, they detached my car and fled the scene. This was a total fail. I hope they never try this again.

They mark up and adding costs that are not supposed to be there.
You are in a position that you are stuck and you can’t get your vehicle out and they are using that position of power to just charge a bunch of different fees that they are not supposed to.
They towed my vehicle from a handicap parking with a placard on and they wouldn’t let me inspect the vehicle properly to show them that it was in there.
I’m moving forward with a small claims court to recover my fees because I was able to get video proof of the whole process including the moment of opening the car and showing the placard on the spot.
This review is mainly for property managers - you want to make sure you work with people with the right values and not doing shady things like these guys.Nov 11, 2024 -
My car was towed parking in Sofi Berryessa apartments complex. There were no towing sign within sign or within the apartment complex. I didn't get any warning from the apartment management. By law they have to issued a violation notice after 96 hrs then they can have the car tow. no phone number, no sign to call and we have to call management for the towing company name and number.
The car was towed in the morning of 05/02/2023 and I pick it up at 1pm. Rebello towing service charge me 366$ for total included 250$ for towing and 110 for storage. What's storage? I will take this matter to the next level to contest this towing company charge and the negligent of the Sofi Berryessa apartment managementMay 02, 2023
