Here's our unpleasant experience with a tow truck driver (CA 11701V2 is the license plate number) arranged through your roadside assistance service on January 9, 2025. While we greatly appreciate the reliability of AAA’s services, this particular incident was disappointing and not reflective of the professionalism we have come to expect.
Here is an account of what happened:
• After our car was towed, we asked the driver if there were any documents we needed to sign. His response was dismissive, saying, “What documents you want?”
• When we double-checked if he knew the destination, he replied, “Isn’t it the America’s Tire you told me? If you feel uncomfortable, I can put down your car right now,” which felt unnecessarily confrontational.
• Before driving our car onto the ramp, he sat in the driver’s seat for over 10 minutes, talking on the phone and doing nothing. When we arrived just two minutes later than him, he yelled at us instead of handling the situation professionally.
This experience left us feeling disrespected and frustrated. Clear communication, professionalism, and courteous service are essential, especially in stressful roadside situations. We believe such behavior is not in line with AAA’s standards of service.

My name is Francis.
Y'all save my night. The phone representative Shante that answered the phone was soo polite speaking to me about my concern. My Infiniti G35 got stuck in front of Chase bank by East Brokaw Road. Shante got my details about my car, & told me a tow depatcher will arrive within an 1hour. To my surprise, Francisco showed up within 30 minutes.
The reason why I chose you because, I did a Google search Tow Services near me, & Great America came up on top.
I compared others Tow businesses & I'm definitely avoiding Morris & Son, got soo many awful reviews.
I also liked their pictures on Google photos, They all looked professional.
Now to the Tow depatcher. Francisco is a soft spoken Tow guy that made me feel at ease, & he said he'll take care of me. He hooked up my car like a magician. He told me he'll meet me in Sunnyvale to my Auto repair guy. I also noticed Francisco Handled my car gently.
I'm only allowed to give 5 stars, Wish I can give Great America Tow, & Shante & Francisco more stars.
Will definitely recommend friends & family.

The reason for this rating is not because their service is bad. They only do property tows so I never utilized their services but they did however, refer me to another towing service which worked out great. Thank's Great America Towing!
I got back to my car in the parking lot when I noticed a flat tire. Rafael was very prompt in responding to my request (through AAA) and was thorough in conducting the tire change. Was overall appreciative of his work through Great America Towing

Yes, they can tow your big weird vehicle. They towed mine with the uncommon confidence that only comes from knowing your trade.
They had their tow truck blocking my car while not towing their client and was told abruptly by the employee to wait a minute. I waited for several minutes back inside where I came from since it was dark and rainy outside and I wanted to be safe. I was watching from the window and then my friend asked him for me if he’s going to move the car in a civil manner so I can finally leave. My friend goes back inside. I walked towards my car and then the employee starts harassing me that he was going to move the car and why did I need him to talk for me and further stating, “Can you not talk for yourself?” He kept bothering me about it and I said calmly, “Maybe you need to relax.” Then I go inside my car and felt that he was taking advantage of me being a small female and I felt so disrespected. I went back inside and told my friend and he came back outside and told him sternly to not speak to me that way just because he was asked to move the car after waiting. The employee yelled and threatened him. I was so uncomfortable and felt unsafe with the employee and my friend stood by me to get back in my car and drive home. When I tried calling the company to speak with a supervisor, they refused to have me speak with anyone, so I decided to take it into my own hands. I wonder how safe day to day clients are with this company and with an aggressive employee out there that like to harass young women?
First time I use the services of Great America towing and can't be happier with their professional response, the driver was amazing and super helpful, got my car towed to my house and did a wonderful job. Very impressed with the responsive and great service. They were sent by by AAA membership and am really happy with them.
I agree with many of the other one star reviews. Extremely rude, no customer service skills. Never showed up. Horrible communication and never received the services promised through AAA. I would never use them or allow them to touch any of my vehicles. Their business as a whole is a shame to the automotive and towing industry. AAA should lose them as their service provider, and their tarnishing AAA with their horrendous business and customer service practices.

Yesterday Mark towed my truck from San Jose to Brentwood. This was hands down the best experience I’ve had dealing with any tow company. Mark called to check in as soon as he got the call then arrived over an hour before the AAA estimated time. Mark loaded my truck safely and securely and I enjoyed talking to him on the trip home. Would highly recommend Great America towing and Mark in the future.
Driver did not know how to jump the battery. Was told to get it fixed and give them the receipt. Manager avoided my call for a month. Finally got back to me and said he would reimburse me. Then disappeared again. When he did text back he said they would not pay me. Had to go thru AAA instead. No accountability when at fault. No professionalism when called out.

They came and tried to shake-me down outside of the tow yard @ Gish road today. Had to call AAA and complain. I'd not use them but the insurance has the area locked and they squeezed you in-between the policies. The issue I have using their specialty knowledge of the area is that they comply to policy in their best interest and not that of the case of my service request.
Coming to service the AAA roads myide the tow driver left my car on the street. The drivers window is now open and subsequently have refused to return effectively cause more damage than good. Waiting on dispatch to resolve the confusion over policy. AAA can't make them return and can't call from outside the service agreement. It's the afternoon now, things are looking shady out here. Waiting to see if they'll call or come and lock up the window before I leave the car overnight.
Perry, Truck #1353, is very personable, knowledgeable, diligent and experienced employee. Perry answered all my questions to my satisfaction; he was able to solve my car problem. Great America Towing is fortunate to have such a valuable employee, who not only cares about his customers, but also provides good customer service. Perry deserves to be recognized for his great attributes.
The driver "Price 627" was outstanding. He was able to hook up my 31'RV and get it out of a tight area with ease. He took great care with my vehicle and towed it to the destination without any problem. He was a true professional and would ask for him again if I ever need any type of assistance.
The driver was extremely helpful, very polite, and went out of his way to get to the closest tire repair shop as quickly as possible. He made our inconvenience much more bearable.

If I could give this company a minus 10 review, I would. I made an appointment to have my car transported to a shop for a new clutch. The appointment was for 9 am, Wednesday, 7-24. At 9:20 am on the 24th, no tow truck. I called and was told the appointment was for Friday, the 26th. When I made the appointment, I distinctly said Wednesday 3 times. After learning of their mistake, I asked when a truck could be here. I was told noon. I needed to have my car at the shop before 10 so i could get if back the same day. I was left with no tow truck. I would never call Great America Towing again.
A few hours ago, when I entered the ramp to highway 880N from the great mall way, I lost the control of the vehicle and slowly rushed down the ramp. Fortunately, I stopped the car. The car didn't turn over，I came out safely from the car.
A policeman called AAA for me. Luke from Great America Towing came immediately. He helped me drove the car to the safety location and waived the fee after knowing that I didn't have an AAA membership.

My friend's car was stranded by the side of the road without any gas so I called AAA. They dispatched a driver from Great America Towing. I gave very clear instructions as to where I was located. I received a call from these guys so as to precisely tell them where I was located. After waiting for approximately twenty minutes without anything happening, I called them again. The moment they saw my call they hung up. Its bad for business to hang up on customers. After calling again and a lot of banter back and forth over the phone they finally came after about like an hour. They charged twelve dollars for gas. We didn't even receive a third of a gallon; I don't know maybe there was holy water in the gas or something and that was why it was so damn expensive. I normally don't write reviews but this has by far been be the best customer service of the century. Just had to give my two cents. Anyways. Happy towing y'all.
