This place is a scam. They routinely rip you off. I've taken 5 bags full of cans, bottles and glass here, several times. Wondered if I was getting scammed so I went to the place behind Ralph's. I get 10 dollars more for the same amount at the that place.
RIP off and also disrespectful, I usually am recycling with my partner but when he wasn't present the guy that rang me up started hitting on me and made me feel uncomfortable. on top of that, gave me less than what was appropriate compared to when me and my partner go together or when he's alone. Never coming back. Ladies, beware.
Great location, great prices if you can get everything scaled, keep your eyes on your deposits until everything is weighed in and everything will be OK
Don't go here. We used to go here and will no longer come back after a really negative experience. They will pay you less than what is actually owed and take advantage especially if you're a woman. The guys that work here give off a very shady vibe while the scale is facing away from you so it's more difficult for you to keep count.
I don't do a lot of recycling, but with the amount of Monsters i consume, i figured to check out a place right by me. I called Sierra recycling in the a.m. and talked with John. He advised me to come later in the afternoon close to closing time. He said he was busy. I thought that was quite nice, not pulling up and waiting. I arrived around 415pm, and there were about 4 people there. The area is open, clean, and maintained. There was a short line, nobody running around, no crowds, which is different than another place i used to go to. I met John for the first time, and another employee was there too. I didn't get his name, but he, too, was very nice and friendly. Good pay out, too. Being 5 minutes from me, there is no real traffic to contend with, friendly staff, and good payouts. I will definitely be going back!

They forsure didn’t weigh it proper did it so fast I could see the weight but I know it was well over 20 pounds so just make sure you watch the slick stuff they do and they love to take advantage of women and white peoples in general I’ll never back they easily came up on 5 to $10 bucks that’s a lot I’m recycling for a reason shady guys very shady

Extremely easy access, friendly, honest and helpful staff, clean. Not sure but I assume it is the owner that pays you he is very pleasant and involved in helping customers and his staff... pays well I do not feel cheated when I recycle here...
Almost got scammed out of 10+ pounds of aluminum cans. This was my first time going here and if I didn't look at the scale when my stuff was put on it I would have been scammed out f 10 lbs of cans.
Sounds like a good way for the person working there to put extra money in his pocket if customers are not paying attention to the scale numbers.
I was actually very surprised to see a recycling center being so clean. My husband and I just moved to the area and were looking for a recycling place, we're absolutely coming back to Sierra Recycling!!!!
I found this place when they first opened. Great customer service, fair money. Now, the last 3 times I have gone, it's not the owner on site but one of his relatives. I always bring my 10 cent bottles and cans for a hand count. First time, the guy tells me I can only do a hand count on one material. No, all three sir. He would only accept one. I called the owner and he apologized profusely. He acknowledged that you are allowed, by law, to hand count glass, plastic and aluminum, up to 50 each. I also take bags with my 5 cent material on different days. I went back again with a hand count. I had a bag of 50 plastic and 50 aluminum, which is $10. Guy kept insisting they were 5 cent. THREE times he said, '5 dollars'. Chattered in his native language with the other guy while this is going on. No, they are 10 cents which makes it $10! Very rude. Owner was great, relatives running the show now, not so much. Will not be going back.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They take cans, plastic and glass (It's important to mention since other places in Santa Clarita don't take all 3 options.) Great parking space. It is located down the ramp, back parking structure. And hey, it's a recycling center with a nice view!
