I've been in the plumbing trade for 40 years (I know my brass)and this guy at AM recycling tells me my clean red brass is yellow brass, and clean red is the same price as clean yellow brass. (My fault for even letting him put it on the scale) Never again will this guy screw me over. Just glad I took in a small amount. (103lbs) my calculations come to he screwed me over $.60/ lb. I suppose if you only have plastic or aluminum it may be ok. But never take in your metals. He appears to lack knowledge in brass. 100% certain of that.
We go here on a regular basis. It's nice to know what you bring for metal is taken. They work very hard and early have to wait long. Carol always has a cherry disposition and her Brother Frankie too!
Terrible worst prices I had 200 lbs of scrap metal and they paid me $6 !!! This is the 3rd time they have done this they have the lowest price around worst service and to top it off there is broken glass everywhere and It gave me a flat tire the money I spent in gas to get here my time loading the scrap and patching a tire this place was not worth it I spent more then I received from them.
This place pays literally the lowest amount per pound for metal ( 3 cent per pound). I would recommend not coming here and instead going to the next scrap metal place. Their service is extremely slow and they have to move everything little by little which takes way too long. Not worth the headache. DO NOT GO HERE
I went there Tuesday at around one afternoon. It turned out to be a great time to go. Not busy at all...
I showed up with a full van load of cans and bottles. I also brought an old car battery.

Pretty good. Parking was a bit of an issue but that can't be helped due to the location. Friendly staff and good way to recycle cans and other materials. Might come back with some other stuff.
I have been going to this recycle center for at least 2 years now, after the green planet centers at Ralph’s went belly up. My only regret is not trying them out sooner! They may not have the tidiest place around but that is only due to the fact that they take pretty much everything from soup to nuts and pay a fair price. And, bonus!, it makes for interesting looking around while you’re waiting in line.
Carol, the owner, provides the most friendly, personable service time and again. I look forward to seeing this admirable, sweet lady, who works her tail off, when it’s time to do this errand.
I believe this is a family owned and operated, local business so if you have recyclables, I highly recommend taking them here. Parking can be a bit tight, so if it’s crowded inside, either wait patiently or walk your PRESORTED bags into the yard. Presorting is just proper recycling etiquette my dear neighbors. Cheers!
I have been returning my recyclables here for several years, their prices are good. It is a family run business. They are always courteous and helpful.
I've seen this recycler for awhile but had always gone somewhere else. I decided to give them a try since they're closer to my house and we had a couple trips to do. The lady that helped us was super nice and I feel like we got a good price for our recycling. We'll be back next time we have a full load of bottles and cans.
If i could would rate 0. Qouted $0.20 per pound for the aluminum auto parts over the phone, when i came they gave me only $0.10. Scale shows whatever wants to. As well as they take advantage of people. Do yourself a favor and waste no time, go to sun valley to recycle anything including your aluminum cans and plastic.

If I could give a lower rating I would, they have extensive conversations in Spanish regarding how to rate materials for payment, their tare weights on the barrels are hugely incorrect, they do not zero the scale and it starts off with a negative balance
A & M Scrap Metal Recycling is really great. The guy that helped us was very helpful and super nice. I'm always a fan of getting money for recyclables and scraps. They pay good prices... Good place to take your junk!
Worst place ever i wish I could put 0 stars !!!!Worst customer service. This place is filthy, DISGUSTING ! And they have no shame they stole from me .!
