I want to share my experience with Cali Auto Auction Pamona to warn others about the serious issues we encountered. My mother purchased a car for my younger brother, believing it to be a great deal. The auction claimed the vehicle had a "clean title" and was worth $15,000. However, we quickly discovered that the car had no airbags, which is not only illegal but also poses significant safety risks.
When we first got the car, the airbag warning light was illuminated on the dashboard. After conducting further research, we learned that driving a car without airbags can lead to severe consequences in the event of an accident, potentially resulting in serious injury or worse. The absence of airbags compromises the vehicle's safety features, leaving drivers and passengers vulnerable.
Now, we are faced with unexpected expenses, as we must pay for new airbag installation to legally sell the car. This situation has caused us immense stress and frustration. It is unacceptable for an auction to misrepresent a vehicle's condition and value while putting customers at risk.
I urge anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Cali Auto Auction Pamona to proceed with caution. Verify all claims and inspect the vehicle thoroughly before making a decision. Protect yourself and your loved ones from the dangers of driving an unsafe vehicle.
Hopefully you read these reviews before you go and not make the same mistake I made. I seen these auctions being promoted on instagram and thought it would be a good way to get a nice car for cheap. It was my first time attending, and I admit I should’ve arrived earlier to really take a look at the vehicles. I seen a nice Hyundai Equus, I asked the guy driving it up for auction how many miles? He says 107,000 miles. I start bidding for it. Not trying to go over $5,000, I won the bid for $4,500 there’s a $300 fee. Total $4,800. Being it was Labor Day and Banks closed i didn’t have all the cash, I paid the $500 deposit. I was happy thinking I got a great deal. I take pictures showing off my what I got from the auction. I go home, buy a carfax and the vehicle has 200,000 miles. Like what? I would never bid for a car over 130,000 miles. And not pay near $5,000 on a vehicle that’s on its deathbed. I called the place and asked for a refund of my deposit which “DJ”(didn’t want to give me his real name wonder why?) he said I can’t get my refund of my deposit and that they could say whatever miles they want if the car is over 10years old. I seen so many reviews with the same situation as me, odometer fraud. I usually always check reviews before making big purchases.I dropped the ball. Don’t make the same mistake as me. Avoid this place. I almost never write bad reviews but I’m trying to save your money. Better off going through marketplace or OfferUp anywhere but here.
Just bought a car they failed to tell me the DMV fees were $600 The water pump on the car was leaking drove the vehicle home 1 mile away car overheated these people are scam artist. Beware they cover up the car’s problems in order to sell you junks please don’t make the same mistake. I did.

We got a car this weekend 8/9/2025 Nissan Altima they said only problem was the ac needed charged nope 2 ripped hoses and then worse of all after same day drove it around the transmission starts to slip mechanic checks transmission is not good what a rip off
Just bought my mom car here . Really disappointed transmission gave out in 2 days later I recommend people not to buy from here . 4,000 dollars for a messed up transmission I’m pretty sure they knew about the transmission being messed up and still selling it for a big price
This was my first time attending a car auction. I was pretty impressed with Cali Auto Auction. Nice looking cars. I truly enjoyed they allowed you to start the cars and inspect them with your own mechanic & scanner device. However, it's still the "As Is" clause. So I suggest doing your research, bringing a person that truly knows about cars. Other than that, I would return there again.
But two cars from there and one day right when I got home one One of them they played with the miles it had less miles Then when it season the Caleb blue book, they changed it and right when I got home the check engine went on and buy a Honda Civic hybrid and the same thing right when I got home, the dashboard looked like a Christmas light. They are scammers guys don’t buy cars from them
Had a ridiculous time registering the vehicle, and the cars odometer was incorrect and was rolled back according to records. Was given the run around. DONT BUY HERE! Edit: So many issues with the car, they claimed no check engine light, then on the drive home, it popped up. Didn’t respond to any of my complaints.

Please be careful bought a car from here no check engine light drove it 10 miles lights comes on so that tells me code was erased prior to auction and yes they have ghost bidders if you watch the price goes up when no one is even rasing thier hands.. stay safe
AS IS means a removed check engine light and an odometer roll back. I spent $4,500, after I got the car I could not get it smoged till the check engine light was fixed. When I took it to the mechanic he told to sell the car as fast as possible. I sold it on offer up for $2500
this is me and i dont recommend this place dont go there i used to buy cars from there every week i bought around 13 cars from them and 10 of these cars had major problems i had to change engines i had to change transmissions i had to fix the cars triple the retail price of the cars after buying them miles are always rolled back dont go there!!!!! terrible experience with the manager i told her i go there every auction day and i buy cars all the time and all i needed was help with one car which was an infinity g35 that i bought she had me waiting for a week i used to call everyday send texts and even go to her and she tells me the phone is in a room and i dont have the key to the room and apparently its been over a week since i got the car so they cant really help me with the money and i had to take my loss all they do is try to scam people and pressure you into bidding if you never went to an auction dont let this place be you first experience its just terrible i had cars with rolled back miles with broken engines with broken transmissions never passes smog or registration issues and there was also a car i was told it was a clean title and it ended up being a salvage just dont buy from there no matter how good your mechanic is they know how to make a car look perfectly fine
Bought a car here and it ended up to be junk. Sold it to pick your parts for $300. I payed $5400 for it at this auction. Gas tank was leaking, check engine came on after they had erased all the lights on the dashboard, engine gave out 3 days after I purchased it PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS.. And that DJ ZARAGOZA guy blocked you from all social media if you try to message him about the cars he shows on his live videos.
BUYER BEWARE. DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLACE. Learn from my mistake. This was my first time buying from an auction. I read and understood the rules - AS IS and no refunds. Let the shenanigans begin. I bought a car on Saturday 8/24. I paid all cash because that is all they accepted, red flag #1. I left the auction place and no less than 3 miles away, the tire blew out on a busy freeway. Luckily, I did not cause an accident. Surpringly, I wasn't upset. I had the car towed home. I called the auction place that same day. Guess who called me back? Manager, no. Owner, no. Someone in charge, nope. The dang music DJ called me back hahaha. Red flag #2. At least he called me back. He said he would relay the message. This call was just an FYI. Not looking for any compensation. So, next day I was able to put on 4 new tires. Took it out for a spin, less than 3 miles later, the car shook violently, some smoke and shut off. Now I am pissed. I left a message with these folks again. Guess who calls me again, yup, the DJ. During the first call, he said he name was Marcos. During the second call, now his name is Joe lol. I ask to speak with someone , but he wouldn't give me their name. He said, "they don't like giving their names out." Red Flag #3. He said I should come down there, find him and he will point them out. I was heading down there that Wednesday when a lady name Ashley called me. I guess she is the supervisor. She must have received my email because I wanted my correspondence documented. She mentioned the AS IS policy and the ability to inspect the car with a mechanic and scanner. Blah, blah , blah. I wouldn't know how the car works without a test drive. I knew there would be some repairs needed but not tires blowing up and engine shutting down within 24 hours . SMH. Ashley said she would call me back on Friday but didn't. Someone sent an email to me the following Monday(Labor Day) and basically said I was SOL. The fact that they didn't want to assist me is troublesome. I was not looking for a refund but an exchange. No where on the signs posted, nothing from the auctioneer or nothing that I signed said No Exchanges. That is what I wanted. They are a bunch of crooks selling junk cars. Also, when I was paying for my car, the employee told me to commit fraud with the DMV paperwork and not to tell DMV that I bought it from an auction. Both Red flags. Lesson learned. Don't get burned by these shady individuals. They are connected to that towing company next door and that company gets bad reviews. Stay away from this auction establishment.
I’ll start by saying that I wish I would have checked the reviews prior to going to the auction but I failed to do so. They definitely erase the check engine lights on some of the vehicles and unfortunately the one I got was one of them. I left a deposit for the vehicle I bought and was going to return the next day to pay the rest. Since I work far I called them to find out what was the latest I could pick it up which is when I saw the reviews on Google since that’s were I got their number from and after reading the reviews I got a bit worried that I might of made a bad decision by going going to this auction but since I had already put a deposit I still went to pay the rest and hoped that I had made the right choice and welp guess what? These bad reviews are telling the truth.
When I got to the location and paid the rest I started wondering around and noticed that they were working on two vehicles, one was a truck that they had started advertising earlier that day on IG which was a bad sign. Then, once I received my vehicle I noticed the ABS, traction control, and the hand brake light were on which were not on the day prior. I decided to drive the car around for a bit just to make sure the check engine light did not come on as mentioned in the comments but unfortunately it did and when I got it checked I was told that there was a problem with the ABS System and my catalytic converter.
If that’s not bad enough the registration was not up to date so now I have to pay what is owed. Now before some of you say that is part of buying cars in auctions which is true, what is not correct is the fact that they do not mention that at the time of the auction and only mention it when the vehicle has the tags current and that is not right.
This was my first and last time buying a car from an auction specially this one, as at least in my experience will cost me more money fixing the things that are wrong and what is owed to the DMV than what the car is worth.
So much for saving money buying at the auction. NOT!!!!
If you do decide to go to this auction make sure you know about vehicles, take a good scanner, and check on the DMV website if the tags are current or not.
As far as having fake bidders I cannot confirm that 100% but I’ll tell you this, there were some shady looking people there and the funny part is that those people did not win any bids, so you make your own assumptions.
Cali Auction- don’t bother copying and pasting the same response that you add to the other reviews, believe me I learned my expensive lesson.
If you have doubts about the bad reviews, just check the five star reviews and see where those people are located or reviewed before. The majority are in different countries. lol they should at least get people that are located near by!
I just had the same experience happen with a vehicle I read the one star reviews from everyone and I feel your pain people are shady out here and don’t care about selling you a good working car they just want the money i recommend that if it feels to good to be true most of the time it won’t be it sucks because we all work hard to buy what we can afford everyone stay away from shady businesses if your gut telling you not to do it follow it!!!

Left $500 deposit on car but discovered mileage on odometer was 60k less than vehicle history. Auctioneer announced lower miles on odometer. Called and a guy called me back wanted me to go in to talk to manager. I didn't want to go in to waste more of my time. Seems shady.
Great selection. Cars are in great condition. Just make sure to bring more then 2k cause cars start around 2km you will fond occasional cars starting for 500 bucks. Really good cars cant complain.
I bought an SUV & it only lasted about 30mins when it burned down on me on the freeway. This was my first time & definitely MY LASTTTTT. I was extremely bummed out & pissed off because I don’t know if this place knew the type of car they were selling was extremely baddddd or what?! The car was overheating a lot & after that I just heard a big BOOM when the car automatically turned off on me. Luckily I jumped out of the car before going up in flames fast. I called 911 & asked them to arrive fast just so I can also save whatever stuff I had left inside the suv. People kept pulling to the side of the road to help me out. The Cops also asked me to report this auction place for selling me a car that almost killed me. I have been calling them, leaving voicemails & sending private message on IG but they have been ignoring me. Left a comment on a post on IG & of course they erased it so other people wouldn’t see it. When you call their number they ignore your calls. The next day I called a junk yard to come pick up the junk car I got from this auction place. NOTTTTTT worth buying from this place. I thank god I’m alive & that nothing happened to me. Obviously for this type of experience I DO NOTTTTTTTTTT recommend coming here. I’ve seen many bad post reviews about this auction but still decided to go. MANYYYYY 5 star reviews ARE FAKEEEE. They are trying to have people give them a 5 star due to all the BAD are REAL reviews they have. I regret sooo much & only thank god I’m alive.

I ran a plate from one of their cars via their live on IG and I commented on their live about the plate NOT COMING UP and they blocked me. My uncle bought a car from them with the codes CLEARED . So please don’t trust these people. Listen to their live on IG they are unprofessional af and lie. My complaint is going straight to the bureau
Just moments ago, I received a call from them asking if how my previous transaction with them went down, I told them the car broke down not even 5 miles out, but even then they still had the AUDACITY to ask for a 5 star review because they want a better "reputation", I made the foolish mistake of not doing more research about this place and now have a 2003 Camry with a bad paint job that won’t start due to overheating. Although I'm sure maybe they have some cars that are worth it, it's the fact they’re calling people on the phone so they could leave fake 5 star reviews.
Once I made my choice, the delivery of the car was seamless. The vehicle was cleaned, detailed, and ready for me to drive off the lot. I appreciated the time they took to explain the car's features and functionality, ensuring that I felt comfortable before leaving.
Don't go to this place they will rob you of your money I pay $6,000 for two vehicles and one of them I couldn't get out of the lot because the transmission will not shift gear and also overheated The auctioneer Jesse told me that he will resell the same vehicle to another poor person and to get my refund back which never happened The second vehicle I end up calling the wrecking yard so they could just pick it up . They also erase the codes on the computer so it seems like there's no problems with their vehicles please don't waste your time or your money buying from this

Bought a 2012 Chevy Cruze on 4/15/23. The car seemed good I brought my scanner and a mechanic, there was no check engine light . I had the mechanic check the fluids and everything seemed good until I drove it home. I noticed the car was jumping and having trouble accelerating. I took it to a mechanic and did a diagnostic and nothing came up. He drove it and told me the solenoid is bad but he has to get into the transmission to be sure. Sure enough he was right and he told me the check engine light codes were deleted that's why the computer found nothing wrong with the transmission and there were 3 other cars he was fixing that came from this auction
Went to check them out even though they have horrible reviews. And would you believe it? The reviews are true. I started bidding on a car towards the end of the auction. Only about 20 people left. When I realized the auctioneer had me bidding against a ghost to raise the price. Once he seen I realized what he was doing and I stopped bidding he laughed and said I love my job man, what can I say. These guys are crooks. If I could give them zero stars I would.
