If i could give zero stars i would. This place is beyond disgusting! The staff and business, so unprofessional. I live in a complex (gated community and you need a parking pass to even park inside, which we have!) and everyone’s garages are lined up with a fire line passing through. Pomona Valley Towing, is the tow company that is dedicated to our complex. We are able to park there quickly to unload groceries, run inside or get in our garages through out the day. However, not even 15 minutes later after parking here, this towing company took my car, and Mind you let me say that this towing company is scheduled to come to our complex at 10 PM to tollway any cars that may be parked in the fire lane. On the way to the towing place to pick up our car, we run into the driver that is towing our vehicle. We signal him saying that that’s our car, and he is on the phone proceeding to laugh. we make it to the tow yard and the two drivers are beyond rude and hostile. We wait outside at the window for almost 35 minutes ! Finally a man get there and he says “Let me figure this out for you”.. not as rude as other staff. He takes almost 10 minutes on the computer and says our car is gonna be $505 dollars to release. It hasn’t even been there for an hour, And they charge a overnight fee. How convenient they close at 5pm and it was 7pm. The man then says “ It’s cheaper if you come in the morning, it’ll be about $364.” We were okay on the price, and told him that we’ll be back first thing in the morning. Upon arrival in the morning, a new staff member was working at the front window and proceeded to say it will cost $460. This is not what we expected and when i explained that another staff member told us a different price he said, i’ll have to let him know that the fee does go on there so he doesn’t spread false information to the next customers. obviously, this is causing a lot of frustration, because many people do not have the money to afford this and it’s very inconvenient that cars park overnight, and people that don’t even live at our residence stay all night on the fire lane and parking spots, and they never wanna come but when somebody does it for less than 15 minutes, NOW they want to do their job quickly! I called this morning and explained to the front desk that the price we were quoted yesterday was not the same that they are giving us today and he tells me “ma’am are you gonna keep going on or can I finally say something “he also says, “you can come in and complain all you want to the front window, but the price is still the price.” let me make this clear that I fully understand. The price is the price, but you should never be that unprofessional, rude, and give false numbers to your customers when they have already explained to you how hard it is to afford this already and make it even more difficult for them. And how convenient as well that their credit card machine doesn’t work, cash only, SCAMMERS!
called for info on picking up property they gave me hours not that we need property release from pd not that we have 15 mins to get in and out not that you have to wear appropriate footwear
Lisa was great! Super friendly, fast service, no issue with getting the car despite the unfortunate situation of being towed but that was us not her so very pleasant experience overall
This disrespectful person on the front window calling men’s senioritas . To make fun of people , How in the world they put a disrespectful and dis behaviour person in this position . Totally disrespectful. Trash service, and he was trying to rip me off on the price.
The customer service here is awful. Contracting this company as a tow service is immediate death to your reputation. My friend got her car towed by this company and when we went to go pick up her car, the man on the other side of the window (which you cannot see through at all, you talk to a speaker on the other side of a fully tinted window) was extremely rude and patronizing. When my boyfriend and I were trying to explain the situation to him, he interrupted asking if "she had a voice" referring to my friend (he refused to speak with anyone but the owner after the interaction I will explain later for his own childish reasons). He continued to be rude the entire interaction, cutting her off and giving her the worst attitude. He proceeded to unfairly charge her an extra $100.00 after she returned his attitude to him, making some excuse about how it was an extra charge for towing the car out to the front lot when it was DRIVEN out by one of their employees. My friend also didn't have her debit card on her person to pay the fee, so when I tried to help by using mine, his child-like response was to not accept it because it wasn't hers? It's no wonder he hides behind a tinted window, how could you not be so disgustingly embarrassed to show your face when talking to customers like an ignorant unprofessional.

Pomona Valley Towing ruins the good name of any established company.
Time for pickup was setup by a 3rd party. It didn't fit PVT schedule and they changed it. I called and explained my situation and PVT made the pickup happen on time. Great Company.
If I could give them a zero star I would !!! We got our car stolen just bought it a month ago for my 17 year old b day and it was wreked I get there and a piece of sh1t named JOE is at the window the window is black tinted u can't see who u are talking to no hello nothing I had so many questions and he was rude !!! Past rude unprofessional person this old lame shouldn't even be there these people think it's ok to talk and have a attitude towards people not even knowing what they are going threw !!!!than we still get charged for the vehicle to stay with them so they can auction it ...its totaled and they continue to take from people horrible experience to that old lame JOE!!! DO BETTER IAM SHURE UR STAFF FEELS THE SAME WAY TOWARDS U!!!!
So apparently Pomona Valley Towing has authorization from California Bank & Trust in Claremont to tow vehicles parked in a shared public parking lot hours after the bank is closed and not conducting business. The tow company is predatory. They will wait for you to park and not long after will tow you and anyone else parked in those spots to the tow yard. There are no signs at the entrance of the lot saying parking not allowed, it's a public parking lot and even on each individual parking sign there is no specific information about no parking after business hours. I was charged $483 tonight to get my car out of the tow yard. I will be looking further into this matter legally and reporting this towing company, along with the bank for confusing patrons in the area about parking in spots with no mention of completely prohibiting parking or making clear mention that parking isn't allowed after business hours. Also something to note, the middle aged man who retrieved my car thought jt was appropriate to crack jokes when he pulled my car up to the gate and as I walked to my vehicle to grab my registration, I told him that I needed to check my glove compartment as i tend to lock it normally, he said "no its not locked". I told him, "Excuse me? How would you know that? Were you going through my vehicle?" Then he said "Ma'am I'm a professional." Extremely unprofessional if you ask me. I just handed my key over and within a few minutes the man already checked to see what was unlocked inside of my vehicle? What kind of business is this? One last thing I'd like to add, I am a new mother and hardly get any down time outside of work and family life to unwind. The one night I decide to, this happens. My $50 dinner turned into a $500 nightmare.
They towed my car from the Walmart parking lot while I was shopping, while I was trying to find out what happened to my car I had heat stroke. I'm in hospital now, but I'm ok,why did they tow my car. Help I need a good lawyer
If i could give this place a -10 i would. I had my car AND my friends car towed from bank of america for leaving it for 2 hours. Ive been parking there for 2 years and had no Issues EVER. They towed it maybe around 12 or 1 am. My friends and i were completely stuck in the parking lot at 3 AM looking for ubers for our way back home. As we were waiting for our uber we saw a Tow Truck pull up in the same parking lot taking pictures of all the vehicles that were there so he could tow those. He gave us dirty looks as he passed by towing other peoples cars. And the price to get your car out of the yard is RIDICULOUS for 1 DAY. $500
Just got my car towed in the parking lot of Walmart in Covina. I have parked in that area for years. I haven’t never seen any signs that show that Walmart customers can’t parked there at a store that is been closed for over one year. Funny thing that there was 4 other cars there, two of the cars were homeless people. When l got there same cars were there except my car. I read the reviews on this company not the only person that this has happened. Very crooked but you guys will be blasted on all social media. This is beyond sad what you guys are doing to people.
Very crooked had my car park by the Walmart in Covina and driver taking pictures of cars where Fallas was taking cars illegally ... very rude plus Fallas isn't there anymore they said they have a contract with Fallas not true also the drivers name is Tommy and he illegally towed an Walmart employee s car
Rude! Forgot to give license back to me and when I got home I called them and rudely say Its not here, I called back and I told them I dnt have it and lady said its here. I was so mad and they didnt let me send someone to pick it up, had to be me then they close weekends!
My car was stolen and the police towed my car her on a weekend knowing it was closed.. anyhow
The rates for your car during closed hours are ridiculous. When I called to see if I could get my car out of yard off hours dispatch was very polite and helpful. We wait for over an hour and get Flores, Flores was rude, and bothered he had to go and open up for us on closed hours. I thanked him for coming and he replied not like somebody else was going to. Straight away he asked what do you want to do with the car.. I asked him if the car was driveble he did know but has the police report, the whole experience was unpleasant especially after waiting for over an hour in 100 degree weather and my circumstances, my car was stolen. Flores have some compassion.
I could not recommend this place LESS. They charged me $150 EXTRA than what was listed on the sign. The employees are disgustingly rude and will make up their own rules if they simply decide to. Prices are up to what mood they’re in I guess. My car was only towed for 2 hours and he charged $400. Ridiculous.
Used my AAA for a tire change, the tow guy snapped off two lug nut bolts using his impact gun leaving only three on the wheel and telling my wife it was still safe to drive. After calling the tow yard to inform them of what their service tech did i was assured that I would get a call back from the manager to settle the situation and NEVER got a call back. Total cost to repair was $85.
If they tow your car to there lot, be sure to release your vehicle to the tow company that will pick it up on your behalf. Otherwise, gonna spend more time. They make it difficult so they can collect more money for storage charges. They tow for the California Highway Patrol so you can make a complaint with CHP for whatever reason
I'm not too happy with the way they treat people that got their cars and pounded I was allowed 15 minutes to unload a whole full expedition in a 27 ft trailer I don't think that's right it's all my personal belongings and I have a disability so I can't move as fast as others I think that's something that needs to be approached how can you only allow you 15 minutes to get your personal property out of a vehicle out of your own vehicle yes it's not good
Was told that they didn’t have the keys to my motorcycle, and after inspecting the vehicle myself I couldn’t find them. I needed the keys to access documentation within the vehicle necessary to get the vehicle back. After an extra two weeks of being sent on a run-around between the PD, the DMV, and several more trips to the impound to double check, I was finally able to obtain everything needed to get it out. When I went today, my keys were miraculously in the ignition after not being there for weeks. They lied about my keys to make more money off of me. After spending $2,000 dollars due to them lying, the manager said that there was nothing he could do, and was very rude when I asked why my keys were there only after I shelled out 2 grand. He only asked if I “wanted it or not” after I expressed my frustration. The manager only exists to extort money from those that are unlucky enough to make his sorry acquaintance.
Called Jose about a car and told him about the price I offered and then he said to go over there but I called to clarify the price to make sure we are on the same page. Why would he send the address if he isn't accepting my price. Be more clear.Imagine if I drove over there and wasted my time. So unprofessional!
If your car is towed and held here, try to collect it before a 3 day period. My car was taken on a Friday for registration issues, being unable to get paperwork over the weekend, I was charged $556 for a 4 day impound for Friday-Monday afternoon. After 3 days they will charge you an extra $200+ allowed under towing laws (they charged me on the dot). The reason for 1 star is because I was not told my car was held here, when I called I was refused any answer until I gave the name of the company I was asked to contact. When I came to pick up the car I was not given any written authorization for towing my vehicle, and I was told the total was $556 without being shown any kind of receipt. After my transaction I also was not informed of any prosecution agency or law enforcement to contact for legal action, which is California law.
If you can avoid their overcharges please do, for moving permits go to the DMV the same day and you may have a chance at recovering your car sooner. They manipulate the law to charge hundreds over reasonable pricing.
update: I received a letter in the mail a month later about this business now applying to hold a lien sale on my car. Do not support these crooks taking from regular people.
Today I went to pickup my vehicle which was stolen and recovered at Pomona Valley Towing. I understand each towing facility has regulations they follow and may be difficult for a victim of a crime to pay out money that was of no fault of themselves. The issue is to be victimized by the towing facility with rudeness and no sense of what has happened to the owner of the vehicle they are recovering. I paid my 1000.00 dollars plus before I could even look at my vehicle and then could not even see the person who I was doing business with. My vehicle was brought outside and set in the outer parking lot next to one of their tow trucks. When it became necessary to have my vehicle move to repair shop we asked if they could move their tow truck so AAA tow truck could have access to my Vehicle. The person informed us that was not his problem and would not move their vehicle. It is apparent that they have no customer service and must not rely on contract with Police organizations to sustain their business. What a horrible experience that I wish no one would have to go thru.
They work with the local police Dept. So there for is no way you can argue towed done thru them. If you really really think you have 100% proof you had and incorrect tow done by them, I suggest take it to small claims or hire an attorney. Is not that I don't support local law enforcement, is just that we all make " mistakes " some times
I called for information and the receptionist did not know how to explain properly which, was extremely frustrating and confusing, she ended up hanging up on me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Next time, she should admit that she has very little knowledge about the topic and she should offer to get someone on the line that is well informed about the topic.
Great towing company! Had a blow out on the highway. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and had someone out very quickly. Jose was very professional. They are also very reasonably priced. Would definitely use again.
