these guys know what they’re doing with Range Rovers - fixed up my used L322 and even put new headliner/embroidery in for a good price. Obviously everything costs more with Land Rovers but they beat the dealership prices by a lot and have good service for older models.
I was looking for remanufactured engines and I found out about this place. I have to say that I don't usually make reviews but their customer service and expertise when it comes to Land Rovers made me want to write this. After they installed the remanufactured engine, the car ran better than new. I definitely will be a returning customer! Would recommend 100%

I do not EVER EVER write reviews, unless someone DAZZLES me above and beyond what I believe is a reasonable expectation. I’m writing a lot here because Ash deserves it. He is professional and the most knowledgeable Land Rover expert I’ve ever met. Hands down. And I’ve met some of the corporate Land Rover mechanics back in that. This review is unsolicited and COMPLETELY AND BRUTALLY HONEST.
After taking my baby (1 of 5 Range Rovers i own); a 2015 Supercharged 5.0, immaculate inside and out to Land Rover North Scottsdale, in for a camera recalibration, I came to find out I needed a a $25,000+, engine replacement. After waking from that gut punch and by an absolute miracle, after ALMOST being scammed by an online criminal (Global Part Shop, UT), I stumbled onto Ash’s Rover Spot. His detailed videos of what they do to the engines, and the care and “dare I say”, LOVE he CLEARLY puts into these engines… I saw artistry and craftsmanship and was immediately hooked. I’ve owned nothing but Land Rovers since the early 90’s and I’ve NEVER EVER seen anyone more knowledgeable and aware of the nuances of these vehicles, than Ash.
He worked with me on the price, and even replaced the plastic (front and rear), coolant pipes that the Genius engineers decided to use in the UK factories, with aluminum ones, at no additional charge. In fact, the list of things they do to BETTER the original vehicle (whose engine is known to suffer from overheating due to bad original design issues), is VERY IMPRESSIVE and well thought out.
I should add that I’m not in California, so was taking a bit of a leap of faith by buying a 10k engine through Zelle and hoping it would ship to my local engine rebuilding and installation shop (Arizona Engine Rebuilders). It turns out I didn’t have to take that leap of faith. Ash informed me he didn’t like taking large amounts of someone’s money upfront. I sent him what I thought was a fair and reasonable amount to “hold” it until everything was ready to ship. He agreed and we were off to the races.
After a reasonable amount of waiting for some ancillary items to arrive, he shipped the engine (providing verifiable tracking), I finalized payment and now it was up to the shipping company.
When it arrived, the engine was exactly as described and in excellent condition according to my install shop. I should say this is a HIGHLY COMPLEX engine and an even more complex installation. It’s so complex, the battery does not even fit under the bonnet in this vehicle. It’s in the rear. In my case the previous owner caused so much additional damage by not doing a head gasket job when it overheated, that I ended up having to replace damn near everything, but the AC compressor and supercharger. And I mean EVERYTHING, including the catalytic converters.
So OBVIOUSLY, there were going to be some hiccups having so much work done. Even then, something no other shop I’ve dealt with would do, he asked for my installers number and helped them work out the issues. WOW!!! It was worth every penny because this rare car is in PERFECT physical and visual condition. Its guts.. not so much. Lol.
Here is the BRUTALLY honest part of the review. And it’s aimed at some of the past reviewers. (Again, see attached images for FULL review) While everything above is EXACTLY AS I EXPERIENCED IT, and I now have a gorgeous vehicle that purrs like a kitten.
So to meet an artist of this caliber who does NOTHING all day EVERY DAY, but give his blood sweat and tears to these vehicles and not expect a hard edge or two in his customer interaction skills…. You would have to be a moron.
I liken Ash to a Davinci or Michelangelo. I got barked at once or twice, because I interrupted the master. It happens…grow some thicker skin and deal with it.
So, Ash, on behalf of your loyal cadre of followers, I want to thank you. Your mildly gruff exterior and sometimes being difficult to reach…. Is WELL WORTH IT in the end.

Worst mechanic ever!! Kept my car for a week, parked in the street. Never touched my car. I came to pick it up and all my gas was drained on Empty! Charged me $400.00 to get the key. A note on my car on the street saying car will be towed in 10 minutes! Outrageous Outrageous Outrageous

I usually don't review business unless there is a good reason to but I feel like I need to say something about my experience with ash & the rover sport.....I owed 2 lr4 a 2014 & 2015.....in this review I will talk more about the 2015 coz that's the one the rover spot ended up repairing for me......before going I went to 4 repair shops that specialize in range rovers including... range rover of city of industry. I had very bad experience with the 4 repair shops ended spending close to $5000 dollar true story but my problem was never solved. All these shops no one appeares to know what's wrong with my 2015 lr4 . Finally by pure luck a somehow I got the contacts of rover spot called them ...called and scheduled an appointment with ash....Ash was nice and genuine.....he was able to diagnose my car correctly....he gave a quote...allowing me time to think of the repairs he recommended and eventually after deciding and approving the repairs. Everything was done well and honestly my ride is back driving like new and I hv a 1 months warranty..... hopefully u find this review helpful in making ur decisions on ur range rover repairs or services. ....thnx mr ash and ur mechanic guys & thnx for the delicious Armenian chicken u guys offer me !!!!!!
I took my 2018 Range Rover Supercharge for a engine replacement. They put a remanufactured engine in there, they got it back to me in 6 days. Car runs well, no issues, will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Rover spot.
I have a 2018 range rover velar . I bought it brand new . I'm at around. 101,000 miles . I was driving down the freeway and couldn't accelerate anymore . My engine had no compression . I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the car being that it is older and the motor was blown . randomly while at dinner I was searching to find a motor online and I came across the 2 brothers at the rover spot ! amazing guys ! I felt very comfortable from the first time we met . I've always been nervous about shops working on my car and the honesty of the work being done , parts being replaced , but with these guys I paid the bill in full because of how comfortable I felt . they had the car done in the time that they said it would be done , no extra bills , no upcharges or hidden charges and im back riding super smooth . highly recommend these guys !

Excellent business. Rebuilt the catalytic converters of my 2008 4.4 to permanently solve an annoying check engine. Also did a great job on suspension work after two brutal Death Valley trips. A very professional team.
I called and asked if they have doors for my vehicle, they said yes. I went there to find out the doors were damaged, it has some dents on it.
I told him thank you I will pass on. And that I’m looking for something with no damage.
Ash the owner , starts barking at , and wanted to pick up a fight and told us to get the F out of there because we chose not to buy damaged part.

Horrible customer service, very unprofessional when answering the phone. Every time I call, the dude talking seems to cough right in the phone multiple times without saying excuse me. I called to order a part for an old Range Rover and at first he gave me a PayPal email to send payment to and a week later he realized that was the wrong email. I then sent the money to the correct email and waited for the part to arrive. He emails me back a week later and says he needs the shipping address. I provide him with the shipping address only to wait another week and find out the part still hasn’t been shipped. I then finally ask for the tracking number so I can track the part by myself only to realize that that shipping label had just been created a day ago and the part was still a week out. Horrible experience dealing with these guys and will never do it again even if they have the part I’m looking for. It’s not worth the hassle or headache. Go through Gold Wing Rover and you’ll have a better experience. If I could give them zero stars I would.
So we've been buying parts from these guys for a while, and even though their level of competence and professionalism has been declining over the last year or so, we've continued to do so because of there proximity to our shop. That said, today's attempt at doing business with them was the last straw.
I needed a L/S outer door handle lock cylinder for a 2006 Range Rover. Instead of calling, I drive down there from the Silver Lake area because the last few times I've called for parts whoever was answering the phone would always take down my parts request and phone number, but I'd almost never get a call back on whether they had what we were looking for.
When I get there a young man checks out the part (probably the guys who has been answering the phone) and walks over to an old man in the work area. The old man shakes his head, says a couple of words, and the young wan walks back over to me and hands me my part back. He says that they have parts laying around and need to see if the can locate what I need. Once again, he takes down my info and says they'll call us if they can find it. So I take off back to the shop.
About 20 minutes later, to my surprise, I get a call from our shop on my cell telling to to turn around and go back because Rover Spot called and said they found the part we needed. When I get back there I see the same young man. I greet him and hand him the part that I had showed him 40 minutes ago. At that point he looks at me with a blank stare (like he's never seen me before) and walks into the office and hands the part to another dude (I'm pretty sure his name is Ash).
Ash looks with at the part with a sheepish look on his face and starts to mutter something to the effect of him not having the part, just an internal piece of it or some other useless babbling of the sort. At that point I get upset, and sternly ask who called our shop to tell us that they found what I had showed them just 42 minutes ago. At this point Ash hand me my part back and barks at me to get the hell out of their yard. As if their incompetence and wasting of my time was somehow a thing of my own doing.
Needless to say, I was pretty upset and that point and barely restrained myself from showing Art what this Marine is capable of when provoked and disrespected. Luckily I walked out of there without things escalating.
So what's the take away for all of you reading this. It's pretty clear that the team running Rover Spot needs a refresher course on business etiquette and best practices. And from what I've seen, several of there employees need to check their egos and be a little less obtuse. Fortunately we're in the internet age and I can share my experiences to help other people from having their time wasted by a bunch of tools.
I have used the Rover Spot for over two years now. Nothing but great service and excellent prices. Now when I come in they see me and recognize me. They treat me like family. Strongly recommend The Rover Spot.
If you have a Range Rover outside of your powertrain warranty, This is THE ONLY PLACE YOU SHOULD TAKE IT TO!!! Hands down best place i've been to on the west coast, they know every fix to every issue you may be having.

I have taken 3 of my cars there so far and never had a bad experience. I just fixed my 2010 Rang Rover Sport, and they were awesome! Best prices and my car looks and drives like new!
Beware of the Rover Spot. Very dishonest people. I will avoid trading with them online on eBay, Craigslist or any other platform. It has been more than 2 weeks since they took my money and not rendered the service I paid for.
I ordered a a part for my Range Rover on Sept 9th and paid via PayPal for the part and the shipping fees. I called several days later to check on the status of my shipment and no definite answer was provided to me. I was lied to and was told they will call me back, which never happened. I kept calling everyday for the next week and still no answer. My calls to the cell phone of Mike Keshishyan the person I first dealt with were being ignored and one person at the Rover spot by the name of Ash answered some of my calls but never provided answers as to why they couldn't or wouldn't want to ship my order or refund my money. As of this review it has been more than 2 weeks since my payment and my order has not been shipped out to me and no reason was provided. I spent too much time trying to resolve this. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND The Rover Spot. Stay away and avoid being taking for a ride.
