Shame on City of Glendale for contracting with one of the worst trash companies out there.

Apparently their so called "Customer Service" is not allowed to give out the supervisor's email address and phone number, I wonder why.
Only those who do not provide expected service try to hide from those who expect it.
Unfortunately we are not able to cancel and hire another company, because they are the ONLY rubbish collecting company that the City has a contract with.
You can see our trash that has not been collected in the last 10 days, and our contract calls for 2 pick-ups a week.
Terrible customer service!
My trash pick up day is on Thursday. Trash was not picked up on my side of the street for any of the homes on Thursday, or Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday. This was a “normal” non holiday week.
On Monday (today) I call their office to ask what happened and if they were aware. A snarky woman answered and stated that a supervisor is already aware and that they would come out either today or tomorrow (Tuesday). I asked if I could put additional trash I’ve now accumulated because of their failed pick up in a container next to the trash one already out. Lacking all understanding, she quickly said that I couldn’t because it would be considered “additional” and I’d be charged for it.
She also said there was no stated excuse why trash wasn’t picked up. Ridiculous!
This is the worst company ever, ive been waiting with 3 bins full of trash in front my my business to be picked up FOR ONE WEEK. This is no way to treat a “valuable customer” as is said in their voice message system. Who ever i have talked to has been incredibly rude and unhelpful. No one wants to do the job that they are getting paid for. I am utterly disappointed and unsatisfied with this so called “business”. A word to the manager or whoever does the hiring, you need a new team because these people cant do the simple task of sending a truck to pick up a well long rotting bin of garbage.
Every week some garbage and/or recycle containers - different ones every week - are left on the streets and sit there for days, sometimes empty sometimes they start spilling over (if they were not emptied and as people keep piling items into them). There are also Christmas trees still waiting to be picked up and other large items just sitting there. When you add the dog poop that nobody bothers to pick up or enforce picking up and some general litter that keeps growing as the population of Glendale becomes more and more condensed, Glendale is becoming more and more like like LA proper that we escaped from years ago.
We love having the option of free bulky item pick-up on our regular trash collection days. I have ordered large dumpsters, at a very fair price, which have been delivered within 1 day of calling. I have attended composting classes and taken advantage of resident discounts on compost bins. I rarely even have to think about "waste management" - so, 5 stars also for doing such a good job that I never have cause to think about it, Good Job, Glendale.
