Went in to replace the clutch in my mini cooper, the shop was perfect and the staff was epic!! 10/10 all around, couldn't have asked for the process to be any smoother. Big thank you to the entire staff!
Great place to get your car fix in. Change oil, brakes, tires on wheels, almost anything you need to do can be done here. Plus, stalls are inexpensive & DIY will save you $$$
This place is conveniently located on Edwards AFB they offer indoor lift bays per hour with tools, super awesome staff, and they do nonstar rated smogs same day!
Great facility to work on your vehicle if you know how to do it yourself, and amazing employees if you have no idea what you're doing. Everyone on staff is eager to help. They have lifts, tools, and a supplies providers who will deliver the parts you need. The bay rental fee is so good, I don't feel like I need to rush the job.
I needed to dispose of some used Oil and Transmission Fluid. Everyone who works there is super helpful, polite, and professional. I have seen some reviews saying that they could not come to their disabled vehicle. This place is not AAA or some towing service, its a hobby shop where you can work on your own vehicle, have their mechanics help you when you're stuck on an issue, or have them do the work. That being said, they are awesome, the hobby shop at my old base (Barksdale) would not help you if it was difficult. I had an alternator bolt stuck, and I asked one of the techs if I paid, could he help me get the bolt out? He said "If you can't get it, why do you think I'll be able to?" and walked away. Needless to say, Edwards Auto Hobby shop is well equipped, clean, and the employees are top notch. Absolutely go there if want to work on your car and need the tools/space/knowledge
The guys at the hobby shop are amazing. The battery in my truck died at the RV storage lot and I was unable to get any tow service on base to give me a jump start, because none of them have base access. After calling dozens of places I finally called the Auto hobby shop. They came within 5 minutes and gave me a jump start and genuinely seemed happy to help.
I was practically stranded my truck couldn’t start and I called the shop because I needed help, told me that I needed to bring the truck to the shop. I was lucky enough that it started and I took it to the shop. And all they gave me was that my vehicle was “unreliable”, just took a glance at the engine and said that can’t do nothing about it. I was upset because the fact that that they didn’t give an ounce of effort to try to find the issue. It seemed they rather me to be stranded in the middle of the desert. A bad experience for me
Always a great facility to use at the Base. The employees (Mike, and Zac) are friendly, and always helpful. The usage rates are very reasonable. The facility is clean and the equipment is always in working condition. They also do smog checks and A/C service.
Support it or it will close, in Hawai'i it was always busy. But then Marines aren't scared to get their hands dirty, the Air Force folks aren't very motivated..... Thanks Denzel and the crew!!!
