Ryan was great! We got lucky finding him, not everyone works on motorhomes. He changed an inside dually tire and gave us some great tips. Make sure you don't call a sponsored ad. They had us waiting 3 hours and Ryan was here in 30 minutes.

From top to bottom, what was shaping up to be the terrible end to a camping trip became not so terrible after all thanks to a service writer who came out as the tow truck driver, and a retired shop owner who showed up as my technician. My shortest wait ever for a tow truck, said we can take a look at it first thing in the morning AND it got fixed enough to take home before lunchtime. That fixed enough has it running better than it has in the last 5 years. I can't thank you guys enough for the speed, the transparency and the honest rates. If I lived close enough to be a regular customer, I would trust these guys completely.

I had a great experience with Redwood Towing Service, especially thanks to Ryan, after my car was involved in an accident on the 4th of July holiday. Even on a busy day, he arrived quickly, was incredibly professional, and treated my car with care. Ryan went above and beyond — he explained where my car was going, what to expect next, and made a stressful situation feel a lot more manageable. The whole process was smooth and reassuring during a really overwhelming moment. I’m truly grateful and would highly recommend Redwood Towing to anyone in need of fast, kind, and reliable service.

I wish every tow company operated like Redwood Towing. I had truck trouble while traveling through Avenue of the Giants, and Ryan from Redwood Towing came to the rescue late at night. He towed us all the way to Fortuna and made what could’ve been a stressful situation feel easy. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people, not just getting the job done. Professional, friendly, and reliable. I wouldn’t call any other tow company in the area.

The entire team are great at what they do. I have two cars that are up and running in perfect order due to them and their work. Very ethical businessman. The are quick and in a timely fashion. And very fair at cost. Always has a smile . I love my new mechanic . Redway Towing and Repair.

These are the most compassionate, patient, understandable, knowledgeable, hardworking humans on the planet. My husband and I have gone here off and on over the years to get our vehicles smoged (most reasonable prices around). Recently we ran in to some trouble and they went above and beyond to work with us and explain what's going on, answered all of my questions (and boy did I have a lot of them), they delt with me crying in their office so graciously and kind. Even went as far as going out of their way to go to DMV to get explanations of what happened. The customer service here is just unbelievably, authenticly, kind and I really appreciated it on like the was shaping up to be the worst week of my life. They really worked with us and our budget and kept our dollars local all while remaining kind and professional and so knowledgeable. I am horrible at writing reviews, let alone anything that has to do with vehicles. But I left there with some understanding what has going on, keys in hand, and faith restored in humanity. Highly recommend.

On vacation with my dad and his sister, we heard a terrible grinding noise in the car while in Garberville after stopping for lunch. A Cal- Fire man saw our troubles and recommended us go here for some help, even following us to make sure we got there. ? Once there, a wonderful young man was able to find and remove a small pebble caught in the wheel. Once removed, he told us we were free to go, not charging us a dime! We tipped him of course, but what wonderful hospitality we experienced while visiting this area! Can’t say enough good about it. What could have been a terrible trip turned into a great experience. I was stranded out on the shoulder of the 101 highway for 13 hours trying to get ahold of anyone who can tow my vehicle back home. As soon as Redwood Towing was dispatched, Paul arrived within 40 minutes, took me to a restaurant named Pepper's where I could eat and use the restroom, while also being good company the entire time.

Ryan is deliberate, intentional, and direct. This was unwaveringly appreciated by my family stranded in Legget, CA on a Saturday evening after the 4th of July. His ability to get my broken and crippled due to shop in KC's negligence, giant Crew Cab 1500 Eco Diesel up on a flatbed was almost its own experience of vacation to watch in itself. He focuses on the service and safety above everything. And we could tell every step of the way. Trauma to reaction and how to move forward. Our once in a lifetime cross country road trip was literally saved by his willingness and overwhelming capability. Thank you. He was our second call out of 6 we reached out to. Why anyone would call anywhere else in an area where Ryan services is beyond me.

Redwood towing went above and beyond helping me and my family after a serious car accident (white Hyundai). I won’t go into the details, but suffice to say I am appreciative.

After a week in the redwoods and river floating, my 10 year old said his favorite part of his vacation was riding in the tow truck with Ryan. That’s the only review you need. But I’ll keep going. Redwood towing was the absolute bright spot out of a week from hell. The entire company demonstrated that they care about who they are towing, not just what they are towing. We were rented a faulty RV and needed tow services twice during the week. The first time we needed a tow, we tried 10+ companies and they all said they couldn’t. My family of four was stranded in a gas station parking lot. Instead of saying no, Ryan said he’d need to get an entirely different vehicle but he could do it. Despite it being midnight when he dropped us off, he took the time to make sure we were safe and level. In this entire ordeal he was the first person to ask about our family. Two days later we needed a long haul tow when we were officially forced to end our vacation early. Redwood towing was still the only company able to do the job. I was honestly so relieved to see Ryan again. We have an autistic son and both Ryan and Dara at the office were so helpful as we made transportation plans for our entire family. They showed such kindness and thoughtfulness. I hope you never need a tow, but if you do, I truly hope you get to meet Ryan!! It is a family owned business and they work incredibly hard to help those who need it at any hour.

I am very happy with the services we received from Redwood Towing Service. They got us out of a pickle and did so in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. Chet handled our situation with care. I would highly recommend this company and would hire them again

Ryan has the best customer service and very helpful with where we should have our truck hauled to for service. He looks out for his customers. An actual genuine human being that you can’t find anymore in the service field. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Our Jah Med truck broke down near Garberville on the 101 about 4:45 pm. After trying to get a local (Eureka) tow with no luck, I called Redwood Tow. WOW. Responsive, professional and understanding. They brought the truck to our repair shop(We had permission to park there since it was after hours now) and sent me a photo to help ease my mind. Such a stressful situation was calmly handled by a wonderful company. I really appreciate the communication and kindness of the dispatch person and driver. Recommend them highly!

Great customer service and expertise. I really appreciate that Scott explained everything that was going on when my truck didn't pass smog, and was paitent with me while I asked questions to understand the issue.

Over priced and not time friendly, had appointment made days in advance and still couldn't be on time when the pick up was locally in redway.. worst customer service i have experienced... browns towing is the way to go made the call was able to be there in 15 minutes... if your looking for local tow call browns towing !

I Highly recommend Redwood Towing and Repair. My suburban's fuel pump died on Hwy 101 just south of Redway, CA. Was told 2-3 hour wait, but they were there in 20 minutes with a flatbed. Diagnosed the fuel problem the very next day, ordered parts, and had my vehicle back on 3rd day. They were completely booked for 2 weeks when I was first towed in, but they fit us in, and accommodated my partner's need to pick it up the following Tuesday. Owner and staff are charming, the two techs I tech with were terrific - Ryan and Scott. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop for any kind on vehicle service, repair and/or towing!!

ALWAYS USE BROWNS TOWING! AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS! My car was impounded by the CHP and taken to this terrible company. They tried to keep all my personal belongings because all I had was the unsigned title and the bill of sale. In Oregon where the car is registered a bill of sale is proof of ownership. They refused to even let me get blankets or anything even after I explained I was now sleeping on the streets and needed the stuff to stay warm and alive. I did exactly what the CHP told me to do which was have the previous owner file a release of interest/notice of sale naming me as the owner. Then after doing that which took a week to get done they then completely changed what they were requiring for me to get the stuff. They were now saying I needed to register the car in California in order to get the stuff which they already knew I couldn't do because I don't have the money like I explained to them. I do not have a California address so that is not even possible lol. The fact that they were going to get to keep my car after the 30 day hold wasn't enough for them. They wanted the stuff in it as well. The lady who answers the phone is extremely rude and completely lacked any empathy for the fact I was sleeping outside. I had to go to the CHP office to get it settled. The CHP captain told them to release the stuff to me. I absolutely can't believe how hard they made me work to get stuff they and the CHP both knew was mine. These people are greedy and rude. They keep poor people's cars who can't afford the fees and tried to keep my baseball card collection and record collection on a technicality. Always call Browns Towing when in Redway/Garberville instead of Redway Towing they will treat you like an actual human being.

Needed a smog check. While not the quickest checkin (they get A Lot of calls!) courteous and quick as they can be. The technician was very fast and told me far more than he needed to due to knowledge, experience and what was useful to me. Major kudos. Cheers guys and thank you!

Found a good car for a good price. But always look up the blue book value from what your buying. They worked with me on the price and dropped it a thousand bucks. And a great smog place ??. Thanks Redwood towing

Very professional, thorough, and honest. I had them repair my old Suburban, and while it took them a lot of time, it is only due to complete thoroughness and my old suburban was pretty rusty. Completely re-built my brake system and I couldn’t be more thankful for their work. I recommend.

This shop is very awesome. They aren't just out for money. Scott is awesome and has always been been very helpful and I appreciate his help with my Camero.

Whats up guys! i dont know if you remember me but i called a 1.5 - 2 years ago about my Nissan that hit a deer. I see you took my advice and listed yourselves on google maps so people can find you. but im willing to settle and pay you guys for getting my car ya know, i just think charging me for all the storage fees when you weren't even listed on google maps is not right. it a predatory towing practice to hide yourself while picking up cars off the freeway right? im not saying you did it on purpose but this happened to me and i been communicating with you guys and your collection company you hired are super rude a holes who just want to go to court to charge us both more money.

Redwood Towing came to our rescue even though our insurance (Progressive) company didn't know how to coordinate their services. I had to call Redwood Towing myself because Progressive (or their subcontractor) didn't know how pinpoint our location. I called Jennifer (Redwood Towing dispatcher (?)) to verify they could get to us and then called Progressive again myself to let them know that Redwood Towing was going to accept the job. When Redwood Towing showed up, Ryan (driver) made sure we kept safe and out of the way. He explained everything that was going to happen and let us know when we were going to be able to follow him as he towed our 29' Class C. As he was taking care of hooking up our RV, I got a call from Progressive stating that another company was supposed to tow us and they were at least 4 hours away. That got cancelled once I told them that Redwood Towing was already there and had us ready to tow. I guess that saved them thousands of dollars. I would go out of my way to use Redwood Towing if the need ever came up again!

Redwood showed up very quickly!!! They were all set to tow a motorcycle and helped us tremendously with an after hours tow!!! Very friendly!! Extremely helpful!!
