This review pertains to Recology's non-existent recycling center in Redway California that was supposed to be up and running on 11/1/23. Needless to say, it did not. And what's worse - a Recology employee told me that there is never going to be a recycling transfer center for bottles and can returns in Southern Humboldt County - PERMANENTLY! Boy, there's going to be some serious pollution problems with people dumping their cans and bottles on the ground all over the planet that were once worth money (which nowadays we could surely use). Not only that, because Recology won't open a bottle and can transfer station in Southern Humboldt County We have to bring the bottles and cans to next closest station - which is in Fortuna! Which is 49 miles away! Hey Recology, some people that are poverty stricken or destitute that rely on those recyclables to get their next meal!! You should think about what you're doing
This place looks like a dump... Helpful staff, free E-waste recycling certainly a needed service. Recently under new management and it seems to have improved things.
