I went in for a key FOB. The man upsold me telling me his keys are just like the car lot keys and that the car lot will charge me more and that his key will work just as well. A week into having my new FOB I knew it was a waste of money. It didn’t work at all like the car lot key is supposed to. I called and went back telling him non of the features work like they should. Then he tells me that his key doesn’t work like that and I need to go to the car lot. I paid $265 because I thought I could trust this Old Town Clovis business. Don’t get your FOB here. Just pay the money and go to the car lot. I learned my lesson the hard way.
I lost my ATV four wheeler key. Brought in the ignition switch and they literally made it in front of me in 10 min. Four other locksmith companies couldn’t help me, but these guys did it near instantly. Owner is super quick, I recommend this place over all other locksmiths in Fresno.
I locked my keys inside my car and A1 helped me. However, even though my location was 7 minutes away from their business, their standard price is $165. The person who helped me provided great customer service.
Super awesome and friendly place! Went in with an issue on my Toyota key and not only did he make a copy of my key, he cleaned out my ignition switch in my car! Highly highly recommend!!
I was 100% happy with my experience with A-1 Lock and Key in Clovis. I needed a whole new key fob, programed, for my newly purchased late model Mazda 3. It came with only 1 and I wanted a spare backup. Checked with the local Mazda dealer and was quoted almost $500! A-1 was able to do it for half that price. It's an authentic Mazda fob and they programed it right there at their shop. Owner and employee both nice and professional. I like doing business with locally owned businesses, and the price was so reasonable.
I had a classic car project that a dozen other locksmiths couldn't help me with. A1 invited me to the shop, where he dismantled, researched and successfully made me keys. He saved me alot of time, money and hassle. I would recommend them to everyone.
I have a Ford Explorer that had its passive antitheft system triggered. A1 Lock and Key came to my residence and reprogrammed the system so the car would start. They helped me find why the system had triggered. All was rectified. Great job.
I normally don't ever do reviews but in this case I felt it highly necessary. I'd give them a lower review if I could. I requested to have 2 locking doorknobs and 2 deadbolts re-keyed. Well that was a total waist of $$$. I ended up replacing all 4 items only weeks later because the re-key failed miserably. Spoke with them over the phone and of course I get the story of them stating "we hand test them before we're done." Well obviously that didn't happen. If they did then why did I have to replace everything? But I still have to pay them their exorbitant fee. Hoping my tenants have the ones they worked on so I can provide them to this co. to teach their employees what not to do. Instead of using the Customer as their guinea pigs to provide failed OJT. Never again will I deal with this Company and suggest the same. And if you do go with them verify each and every lock they work on with both the original key and the replacement key just to verify they did what their getting paid to do..
I LOVE this key place. They can duplicate any key that I can think of AND they are funny friendly guys. If you want food quality products and workmanship, then this is the place for you.
