I don’t blame the workers, but why the dumb idea that they will only accept recycling from vehicles that have valid California plates? I’m from Illinois but my sister is a California resident who does not drive and I did her a favour taking her and an SUV full of bottles the neighbours collect for her, but they turned us away. Fortunately we figured out that we can just park in the parking lot and walk up with the same bottles. My sister has autism and is non-verbal and she doesn’t drink pop, but she makes several hundred to a thousand dollars a year collecting bottles and from what the neighbours collect for her. I mean why would they think someone would drive 2000 miles from Illinois to cash in bottles in California for the lousy crv rate, when we can take them to Michigan for 10 cents a bottle..!
Update: lines are ridiculously long and move slow. My days of selling back recycling are done, its just not worth it.

This has gotta be the best CRV spot in the bay area. They unload the cans for you from the car! And on top of that seem to pay higher than other places. Amazing. Only slight downside is you may have to wait a few in the drive up line when it's busy but what is your time really worth if you're thrifty like me and collect cans in the first place lol
People who tell lies, scam others, and mistreat people will receive their just desserts. It's been shown that negative outcomes stem from bad actions, while positive outcomes result from good deeds. Why not grasp this concept before it's too late? The Bible teaches us, "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." While this is a reminder to treat others with kindness, it also implies that mistreating others goes against God's intentions and will have consequences.
That is a very unsatisfactory how this place taking advantage by paying cheaper prices compared to others recycling center. They are also cheating on the weight we need to send an inspection and supervisor
Called the other day because recycling bin was refused. When I asked the lady for reason why? Even when having a box broken down that was set to the side of my bin. After sorting out the 3 items that happened to be amazon packages that have the bubbe wrap that weren't part of recycling(in which was said with strong attitude) they would send another driver to schedule pick up. Waited 2 days in case they were backed up... nothing. When I called back the lady who I spoke to the first time had a serious attitude. Sorry, I want my recycling picked up. I'm paying for a service. This is why I asked for a receipt, email, etc. just some sort of verification/proof for the next schedule pick up since I got refused. It's just the lady over the phone I spoke with word over mine. Terrible customer service.
Absolute RIP OFF!!! They too many times have haned me a ticket before my load was even counted,They ALWAYS say that I have less than what I really had...Just to test whether or not they were really ripping me off,I counted every single can,bottle,plastic bottles and sure enough they gave me my receipt and only gave me 20% of what my actual load was....when I have 6 contractor bags of cans,3 bags of glass bottles and 4 bags plastic bottles and leave there with $16.00?????? I tried asking about it and the Supervisor stated that his best man was working and there was no way that a mistake was made...But because it has happened to me so often I counted everything for once to see if they were in fact dishonest...and they proved to be ripping me off....along with 5 other people that day who were all pissed off...for the same exact thing!!! They are known to rip people off....I no longer recycle,it's to much work to clean them all,separate them,sit in line for 2 hours only to be ripped off??? No thank you!!! Nothing but a bunch of crooks!!!
2 employees were harassing a customer because she walked in with 2 bags of recycling. They were accusing her of getting out of a car. Then they took her photo, and when she questioned why he took her photo without her permission, they accused her of lying. What kind of business allows their employees to "Harass their customers!" Those two men should be fired!!! And yes, she did walk there and didn't just get out of a car. People still walk places.
You need to change they way you guys work and need to work on how long ur lines get at your guys location before it was fast now you take up to 2 hours to get all the way that is horrible you guys need to work on somenthig to do it better here honestly.

Update: they gave me a counterfeit $20 bill. I tried to get change at the laundromat and the machine would not take it. I went to the bank and told them what had happened and they helped me out.
Love this place, all recycle business need to job on how it should be done. Fast and efficient. You wait in the comfort of your own car, you can always check online to see how busy it a d choice to go at another time.

Fast and easy drop off process. Line can get long depending on day of week and time. Get in vehicle line and make sure your doors (trunk) are open -- staff will pull the recycling bags from your vehicle themselves. Pull around and park, staff will bring the receipt....take it to the cashier (id required for payment over $100).
Always a pleasure!! I have been here for over 40 years!! Only once I received someone else’s receipt!! Which was a lot lesser than mine!! They were quite busy!! But , they all deserve 5 stars and more!! Thank you
The employees are helpful but definitely over worked as the lines are now endless due to being one of the only recycling center around the bay area now. Sometimes they calculate my total amount returned before the machine even dumps all the cans. They were still loading my cans onto the conveyor and the guy started printing the ticket. I told them they need to wait until all my cans were done. This is due to the massive amount of work they are now having to do with the increased drop offs. Unfortunately, it is us who have to pay as they are in such a rush, they move you before your items are counted and when you pull to the other side, its awhile before they hand your print out. So who knows who's receipt I've gotten because sometimes I know I have a lot, but shows I only put in smaller amounts. Thus the 2 star deduction. And as always, line will go around the block once on a good day.
A very nice recycling facility. I heard of many people complain about the buy back rate is too low, I full loaded my car with plastic bottles and cans (1:1) , and got $64 , not bad.
My overall expensive wasn’t good at all. I gave an extra star for hard working employees. They were attentive and guide cars to park. We went on a Saturday. There was such a long drive waiting wrapped around the street. Waited overall 1.5hr. Another 40min wait to cash out. Second star for an interesting experience with drive through.
I brought 3 bags and half varied bottle water, cans, glass etc. I don’t understand how they measure and pay out for each item. I see that they have a charge chart that explains all the pricing. However, I think they didn’t count or sort our items properly. In the end, we wasted more than 2 hours for only $2 cash back. It’s not worth it. Never coming back again. I’m pretty sure they miscalculated the amount.
Line was sorta long but moved fairly quickly. I beatin out my music & the guys workin appreciated it as they started to groove to the beat & didnt ask me to turn it down. They pay cash today with fair rates. I look forward to going back and would definitely recommend to everyone. Thanks Tri-Ced.
With Tri-Ced being one of the only places for redemption on plastics and cans, I decided to go there. I noticed that it was posted as being busier than normal. As I drove into the driveway, there was not another car in sight.. They waved me in. They were polite in letting me know how things usually work around there and they were fast. Hopefully all my future visits will be as good.
Very busy on Tuesday! Staff very professional! Wait line organized. Customers were a real problem. One customer got out of his Prius and was wandering around the lot! Another one ran out of gas in the line and was again wandered around holding a gas can asking for some gas! He was still setting where he stalled as I drove away!
First impression upon pulling in- the place was surprisingly clean. We used to go to the recycling center just off 880 around Stevenson and it was a bit filthy. When leaving that place I wanted to take a shower. However, this location was clean, didn't have a bad smell and on top of all that, the workers were super friendly and nice.
We don't recycle often so wasn't aware of the details; separate glass by colors, separate glass from aluminum cans, etc. The guys explained it in a very customer friendly way (not with an attitude) "so we'll know next time" and voluntarily took our containers and processed them (separated the recyclables for us). Afterwards they directed where to park and explained the next steps. The guys who worked there today (10.22.20) were awesome; a great team.
Since it was a pleasant experience, we'll do more recycling!!
Honestly, this is one of the last big recycling centers within like 20 miles. The workers are doing their best. The line is LONG. About an hour wait on the day I went (Saturday at 1:30pm). They recommend that you separate your recycling beforehand, but there’s a little place to park once you get inside and you can sort your things in their bins; similar to RePlanet’s set up. If your bags are already sorted, the workers will take your bags and give you a receipt fairly quickly.
