I heard great things about Jdm Engine Bay and at the time I didn’t have the space or tools to work on my car and thought it would be better to have it done by professionals. My old B20B had valve damage, the first replacement B20B engine I purchased immediately blew white smoke and had water in one of the cylinders (confirmed by Gio himself). Gio promised to make it right and swap a second engine + transfer any new parts that were added to the first engine (hoses, seals, gaskets, etc) but the job took four weeks instead of the estimated 2 weeks. This was accompanied by limited and unprofessional communication, no updates unless I asked. Upon return, none of my new parts were swapped. They notified me when I was picking up the car that they "upgraded" my intake manifolds but this was not discussed with me beforehand. I did not consent to have any parts taken out.
The vehicle overheated on the way home and had to be towed. Turns out the fans weren’t plugged in and there were other exposed wires. The interior was a mess with sawdust everywhere and the body was damaged on the driver's side door, the paint was chipped and it was covered up with a paint pen. The clutch I had was new, but it turns out it was never swapped over, it also stopped working because teflon tape was found in the hydraulic system, which had to be intentional. The car also came back with a loud whine I’ve never heard before, I was told it would go away with time but it sounds like the alternator needs to be replaced. A Month goes by and my car starts to leak oil, turns out they "sealed" my valve cover with silicone and it was cracked on the side, causing the oil leak and melted silicone everywhere. Jdm Engine Bay demonstrated zero professionalism, failed to keep promises, and returned my car in a hazardous condition with more problems than it went in with. Don't come here unless you want your daily to become a project or have your car parted out. I want a refund.

Had worst experience of ma life at this place ..wasted my time money and energy..I had given review before 2 years as u guys can see with a 5 star review but in 6 months the engine stop working ..I went to jio before 3 months he said the whole engine needs to be replaced he replaced the whole engine in one month the head gasket blew off ...he said theere is problem with catalytic converter..I said I'm not a mechanic so I came to u .. ...he fixed it for free after 3 months the engine died complete I went to him ..he said I'm not wasting my time removing the engine .my time was not important for him remember ..and he is my boss I'm not his boss ..he talks like he is the prime minister of America .he said go to other guy and ask him to remove the engine..i just told the other guy I want the old junk engine .jio didn't give me the refund ..he is like the parts of engine are dismantle..I just thought he needed that old engine.i got scammed I lost $2800 in 3 months..wasted my time and money and energy and Uber money ... please don't go to this place and waste your time ..he could have just removed his engine from the car at first place and refunded me my money the second time ...but he said I don't wanna waste my time pulling off my engine and ended it then and there with no this review.....that's how ppl do business now a days..but this place forgot he lost 10 different customers who will read this review ..I have post the pic of engine for you guys to see how jio is dedicated to his work ..he bypass the heater exchange..The guy who installed my new Engine said I could have died and it's against the law and I can sue him. . There we go I bought Subaru STI engine from this guys, after 3 months putting it together to my car there excellent, Gio give 1 month warranty but my mechanic too busy, I give gio call what happening, gio told me warantty is 3 months now at guaranteed words, car is running now without any issues.

The dealership wanted a lot of money for a head gasket replacement. Geo JDM Engine did an engine replacement for much less and the engine works great! The engines are leak tested and compression tested. I had new spark plugs put in the replacement engine for $30. I'm very happy and would consider this option for my next car.
Bought a 3.4L v6 (5VZFE) for my 2002 Tacoma from Gio and had a very positive experience! While shopping they allowed me to pull spark plugs and scope 2 engines not to mention spent a good 2 hours with me compression and leak down testing the engines. After I made my decision they professionally secure it on a pallet and loaded it into my van. I have now put down 25,000 miles on the JDM engine since installation and it has not burnt a single drop of oil in that time and runs perfectly. Definitely keep these guys in mind for your JDM engine needs!

Sold me an engine that was supposed to have the right parts to swap over to an 02 wrx. Neglected to mention all the broken cam gears and rusted broken off bolts to replace in between. I called and explained my situation and they agreed to refund me some of my purchase for trials and tribulations. Hopefully i wont run into more problems but they are on standby in case there is. Buying a used engine is always risky, so it helps to have good customer service.

great place, great prices, great selection, great employees! Almost all your import car needs are here from body parts to motors and trannys to full front clips. There are two other importers that are half the distance from my house but I always check here first!
