This place was awesome! Especially after going to the San leandro the day before and having a bad experience with them and their staff. The staff here was actually helpful on the phone and in person, the range masters were all super nice and didnt mind explaining the rules or how they do things. Top tier, San Leandro is only 8 miles from me, but I will definitely make that 40min trip to come here instead anytime I want to shoot my rifle! They dont try to make you feel stupid or like an annoyance. Very friendly
Great place for shooting firearms. Pistol range is separated by caliber and by type of rifle. Plenty of supervision and privacy too. Rules are there for safety. If you have not been here before buy your shooting hearing protection and glasses beforehand. Remember you’re not the only one shooting. It’s loud and magnificent at the same time. I’ve been shooting for 50 years. This was a large group of mix experience and we all had a great time.
Great outdoor shooting range. The gun safety staffs are very serious about gun safety. Don't get offended if they correct your gun safety mistakes. I greatly appreciate their stern reminder. Don't take it personally. The surrounding is beautiful . Must visit.
I literally just got off the phone with the supervisor Don. This is the ultimate go to shooting range for all you gun enthusiast throughout the Bay Area.
Me and my buddy Michael were there yesterday morning to do some shooting and Michael was breaking in his brand new Fabrique National AR-15 rifle. We didn't know that a rifle scope was required so the rangemaster's informed us that Michael couldn't shoot his rifle until a scope was put on there.
Michael went to Solar Tactical, Livermore which was about 2 miles away and bought his scope and had installed. Rangemaster Frank gave him the green light to go out and get it and allowed Michael to come back without charging us any additional entrance fees.
Furthermore, Frank went above and beyond by helping Michael zero in his Vortex red dot scope by directing him on how to zero it in. Frank did the same thing for me a few months back when I brought my Savage 22 Win Mag rifle and Sig Sauer 10/30 Whiskey scope.
Frank will also go down with you while we change out our target's in order to see where we can improve on our shooting skills and gives us all very helpful hints so we can improve.
This is the local outdoor range. They have American trap, Olympic trap, 100yrd rifle and pistol range. The rifle/pistol range can get very busy. Recommended calling in advance. Make sure you fill out the waiver before arriving.
Great place to shoot at even if you are new to guns. Very friendly and helpful staff. Range safety officers take safety seriously but let u have ur fun. Highly recommended.
Such a great event at this range for Solar tactical. I will most definitely be back to shoot some more here. Super friendly and they sell snacks and have a food truck. lol
I participated in the HomeAid 22nd annual trapshoot fundraiser. This was my fourth year of attending this fundraiser, and every year, it's been a great experience. The Livermore Pleasanton rod and gun club facilities are always clean and well kept up.
Had a great time. The staff there definitely made the range to shoot at. Trap and Bunker facility is definitely top-notch and you can definitely tell that the staff is well trained and and are on their game. I have and will recommend this range to everybody. Great job!!!

This shooting rang is amazing, For those who say it sucks are because they have broken the rules and don’t listen. the instructors are nice especially Steven he gave me tips on my lever action bore sight. just follow the basics and you’ll do fine
Range master we had had zero patience and was very rude. We were very respectful and experienced shooters, yet he treated us like we had never been to a range before. Rather than being calm and respectfully explaining things, he seems to prefer ridiculing. He blamed us for not knowing some small rules that were not explained or posted, even on the safety card they give you. Everyone else seems very nice, however due to our experience with our range master, I will most likely not be returning which is unfortunate.
Had a great time visiting for the first time. RSOs present (Paul + another serious fellow I didn’t catch the name of) treated us with respect and put safety first in the right way, showing us what to do when appropriate. There was a group next to us on the pistol only side with some very lacking trigger and muzzle safety discipline, and the serious RSO put them in line and warned them sternly. Much appreciate the safety-mindedness of this range, thanks Paul for the good banter and friendly chats!

Today was my first day at the Livermore Gun Range, and I have to say they have the best Customer Service. From the Cashier to the people taking you to your shooting spot. I was helped by Fred. He was amazing and provided me with tips to better my shooting. I will most definitely come back and recommend this place to all my friends.

First time here and it was great! Easy to get to, plenty of parking and in a great area. They have it down, easy to sign up and get in, staff were great just very helpful. This will be my go to spot from now on. I need to join as a member!
We came out to do some shooting for our anniversary and had a fabulous time! Fred, one of the Gun Marshall Rangers on site, made us continually laugh about 3-headed squirrels, spoke about his lovely wife, told us about other great shooting and date locations around California, and ultimately, we had a such a great time. We shot a handgun, revolver, and two rifles in each of the regulated zones. Note: Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club DOES have very reasonably priced, cold drinks and a snack counter, with lots of awesome choices! What a score! We will be back! Fred - keep those three-headed squirrels in line!! until next time…!
This is my go to place for shooting range. Safety officers are very helpful here. Once I had my new AR-15 having issue with feeding the rounds, they help me to find lubricant for the rounds and problem solved.
They did a great job running and organizing the place, and making everyone to feel safe with simple and clear instructions.
They are also generous with opening multiple shooting lines, one for each of my gun, so no need to switch back and forth.
Also, there is no time limit, you can stay as long as you want until they close.
Their trap range is top notch and host many tournaments. The rifle range is only good for sighting in new rifles it is only 100 yards max. You can put targets at 25, 50, 100. The pistol side is smaller. They have twice monthly steel range open but more expensive than regular entry fee. Good experience over the years. They need to add longer rifle distances to attract more people.
Good outdoor range never had issues with staff or dealt with Frank, as others have stated. THEY ARE VERY STRICT. Holsters banned. You can't really shoot or train as they only let you shoot once per second. If you try double taps as in shoot twice, they will get mad and call it rapid fire. I get they want to be safe, and there are idiots out there. Guess it depends who the Range Master is. You can't practice reloads as in shot once drop mag and reload. You basically have to stand up straight and shoot very slow. Only 100 yards, too, so no long-distance shooting.If you want more freedom and are more advanced, I'd go somewhere else that offers that. This place is good to make sure your new gun works and shoots and sighting in a scope.
Range officers are the best around. Safety is top priority here. At the same time they are very friendly and helpful. We had a great time at the range and even got pointers from the experts. I definitely recommend this range for shooters of all experience. Looking forward to coming back soon
I found this range when I took a NRA rifle course and unfortunately it was raining cats and dogs but it was a great range day. Since I live in San Jose, it’s a bit far but I wanted to see how it was on a nice day. This time I took my Glock 19 that I had to zero and I was able to shoot 160 rounds. I really loved it. The range master was really nice and he was funny too. The atmosphere was so professional and safety wasn’t a concern like it is at some ranges. The shooters practiced strict safety and the range master was on top of it all. I think it was well worth the trip and will be making a weekly trip for sure. I totally recommend.
I visited here for the first time today and I had a great experience. I came with a friend to the rifle range, and felt very safe and had very nice range masters. No complaints. Then I went over to the Pistol range to shoot my new Glock, as I am a new handgun owner. One of the range masters, Brian knew I was nee and saw that I kept getting a gun jam. He nicely came over and showed me some tips, helped me with my technique and even complemented me on my target. I was a little concerned I was gonna get the side eye from the range masters, but quite the opposite. They were super welcoming, and made sure I had a pleasant experience as a new shooter. Definitely will be coming back
First time here last Sunday around closing time, staff are friendly and kind. Nice place for both new and experienced shooters. Will come again. Remember to leave the firearm in the car before you get your bands.
Very well organized, friendly and professional staff. They speak in the frame of educating new shooters,with emphasis of safety and having fun. And will talk to more experienced shooters, give bits of advice and promote events they are holding. Frank is awesome, they rifle ranges(seated shooting) and pistol range. This is great shooting range to take new shooters!
Trap range windy so tougher than most venues. Rifle and pistol range start implementing time limit now due to large demand and long wait line. It's understandable as business practice but outdoors range takes longer to prep so time limit making it less appealing to me personally. But overall great venue !
Great range staff is super friendly shot here 3 times now and not a single problem. I like the Wednesday shooting from 5pm-9pm is pretty empty so it’s nice to get through the cease fires quickly!
