I really appreciate this shop and the work they do. This is how auto repair and maintenance should be done everywhere. Jay and his team know cars, can fix em, and run a pretty honest and reasonably priced business.
I've had a good amount of work done here. I honestly appreciate that when something is wrong with the car, they're not afraid to actually show me the issue. My first repair was for a starter motor, but in looking at the engine he noticed oil leaking through the head gasket. He sent me a picture and told me about the it. I did a little research and turns out this is a common problem on that particular engine. The repair quote was totally reasonable. I had even priced it out to see, and indeed the quote was good. Since then I've been taking my car in for routine work. Getting close to 200k miles. Let's do this! :D
I brought my car in for a problem that AAA told me was one thing and it turned out it wasnt. Jay could have easily replaced the part that AAA claimed was bad and sent me home 1200.00 less in the pocket but he didnt....he kept the car for almost 24 hours testing it and trying to diagnose a problem that turns out wasnt there and sent me home for the diagnostic fee (WELL EARNED) and an oil change with a message that if it reappears he will look at it again
These guys are as honest as you get and have integrity unrivaled in the auto repair business. My cousin told me to make sure I use this place if I had car issues and she was spot on with the recommendation. Thanks United Auto....you are the good ones!
I had taken my car to multiple technicians, but unfortunately no one was able to fix it properly. A friend recommended this place and thank God, they have done an excellent job, since then, I haven’t experienced any problems. Outstanding service.

Love the shop, they worked on my 83 year old aunts Lexus. Did an awesome job and car was finished when they promised it would be. Jay is very honest and made her at feel at ease. Best shop in Livermore.
Came in to get a tired patched/plugged.
In and out in about 15 mins with kind service. Will continue to go there for future tire needs.
As of 10/4/2024 this amazing shop does not patch tires anymore. Does not affect 5/5 rating. The tech told me where I could go to get patched and gave me enough air to get there safely.
Had an amazing experience, went here because Walmart wouldn’t honor my warranty few months back claiming my tire was unrepairable forcing me to buy a new one. I came by here and Jay was super friendly hooked it up so I didn’t have to get a whole new tire. Been months and still riding on the same tire just stopped by today for an oil change. Giving my business to local small businesses that operate with integrity rather than big careless corps
Jay was very knowledgeable and treated my car problem with urgency. After being told there was nothing wrong/the problem couldn't be diagnosed by two other places, my car was fixed in only a couple days at United. Can't recommend this place enough!

Not recommended! The most expensive place, I will never be there again. I had a very bad experience two times when I cam for Uber inspection first time the tall guy works there his name is Fawad asked me $30 cash I paid usually $20 for inspection it’s the price but I paid $30 because it’s close by. One day I referred my friend he is living there too but they asked $40 cash that’s unbelievable. So therefore I wanted to share my experience with everyone in order to help others understand if you want to fix something there it will cost you twofold.
The main purpose of my post is to highlight your highest prices. Fortunately, you acknowledged in your response that you don't price match. Uber is one of the examples I mentioned. Another issue is with the brick pad change; you quoted me $350, but it cost me $180 for the same brand of brick pad. The price difference was shocking. I don't understand how you can claim honesty and prioritize customer satisfaction. It doesn't make sense at all."
Drove down to United Auto Repair to see if they can fix my small side view mirror problem after days of looking for repair places. The guy was working late was very welcoming, came out to see the problem and without thinking he told me he can help it’s only a small fix. Didn’t charge me but the fact that he was willing to hear out a new customer and was so welcoming. I didn’t get his name as it was closing time and he maybe was in a hurry but I salute this guy. Good customer service may God Bless him for helping. I recommend this place customer friendly.
Jay is awesome. He takes his time with your car and double checks his work. He is one the good guys in terms of being honest and upfront with you. United Auto Repair is definitely my new auto repair shop.

The best car service place to go in Livermore! They are very fast. I was in and out for my battery replacement in 25 minutes. Every car service place I’ve been to in Livermore always tries to sell you something you don’t need but I didn’t have that problem here. My car was up and running smoothly again.

My boyfriend and I were on our way back to Oregon after visiting family in Monterey Bay. My check engine light came on after only two hours into our 10 hour drive back home. The Subaru service in the area quoted us an outrageous amount to have my spark plugs replaced. We called at least 10 different auto repair places in Livermore but no one was able to help or ignored our calls. Jay was the first one to answer the phone, listened to us explain the issue, and told us no problem: bring your car in and we will take care of it. Jay was able to replace all my spark plugs for a very reasonable price and was super nice. He truly saved the day and our trip back home. Highly recommend. Thank you Jay!
United Auto Repair saved me! I was passing through town on my way from San Diego to Berkeley and got a low tire pressure signal on my dashboard. I pulled in just as they were closing, but Jay, who was working at the time, was willing to help me. He found a nail in the tire and fixed it on the spot. So grateful! This place is the best!
Really quick and efficient shop. dropped off my truck. They diagnosed the issue in no time. Installed my water pump. I had my truck back in just a couple of hours.
Super kind people and so very helpful!!! My car needed some serious work and they took care of it. I drove from Sac and was out in livermore visiting a friend. I got a flat tire and walked to this shop that was near by. The guy walked with me to my car, took out the tire, and fixed it in his shop, and then walked back, putting it in for me since I didnt have spare :( he only charged fixing my tire. I am very thankful for their service and very friendly people.
Charged me $1250 for a radiator repair, stated the part couldn't be bought in California was the reason for the high cost. I felt this was untrue and have done my research, I have been to multiple places in town to get quotes from them on the service we had done. Part is available at multiple places locally, average quote from other places here in town is $785 (for part and labor) Unfortunately I did not get to choose the shop that did this repair or I would have done my research sooner (it was a unique situation). I just went back to United and tried to talk reasonably to him, asked him to give me the specs on the part he placed in my car, he won't, says he doesn't have to, though he did tell me where he ordered the part from (its listed for $503.55 his charge for the part alone was $825), when i showed him that on my phone he said he has the right to mark up any parts he wants to just like burger joints all have different prices on their burgers, he is not willing to give any money back even when I showed him my quote from another place in town. I told him I would be placing a review on yelp and social media to save others from being robbed like this, he tried to scare me by telling me he had cameras in his shop recording what I was saying. Do your research before you pay, Unfortunately I didn't. He also has a 20% coupon available on his website which I asked him to honor when I was paying and he said he could not because the paperwork had already been printed up for the vehicle.
