Disappointing that I drove out to this location after they told me to come around 9am just for them to tell me that they can’t help me because I had running birds on my truck and can’t lift up my truck. Wasted time.

Brayden and David were professional and friendly to me. I brought my highlander in for inspection and David showed me and explained what was necessary to fix. Matter of fact David and Brayden saved me big money because previous mechanic told me my timing cover was leaking and needed replacement. When actually it was lose and just needed tightened and the other place wanted to charge me $4k!!! Can you believe that!!! David went on with inspection he found my CV axle was torn, front struts, hoses,
timing belt, lower control arm, were in need of replacing. It was a big job and these guy’s came through like pros!!! Definitely coming back..
The two gentlemen I dealt with were very courteous and kind. The service I received was exceptional. I was called with every update. My car was promised to be finished by 3:00 but the actually finished it at 2:00. I would highly recommend this place.
Took our Odyssey van with 150k miles on it to R & C for a starter problem. They replaced the starter, which was a labor intensive job, but honored their quote. Everything is now working great. We will use them again.

I went for an Oil change and was quoted a price over the phone. The price was quoted after sharing my car details. But When I picked up my car, after the service then I was charged a 15% higher price. They charged me a dealer price for an oil change service. I went to them because of their service and was super disappointed with the overall experience. The front desk guy was also very rude and was blaming me for the price change. I will never be going back to them.

I have recently moved to the area and brought one of my cars to R&C auto repair for A/C diagnostic and repair. They refilled the refrigerant and did not charge me for the diagnostics. A/C has been freezing cold since. The very pleasant experience I had made me bring my other German car that had a check engine light and the authorized dealership could not figure out after charging me $1200 for carbon cleaning, a repair that I never needed on a brand new intake manifold. R&C mechanics worked on the car for several hours and it ended up that there is a tiny hole in one of the pistons, meaning the engine was gone. They did not even charge me for the engine diagnostic! I was indeed sad to learn about the engine failure, but was very surprised to see that such honest mechanics are still around. R&C auto repair is the shop you can trust. Thank you guys and please keep up the great service you are offering to the community.
I took my Volkswagen Tiguan to the shop for an engine check light and after two diagnostics, they found the problem to be a faulty fuel pump. They returned the car after doing the necessary repairs but when I drove the car the next day, the car stalled on me in the middle of the road which was a very scary experience. But to their credit, they took back the car and ensured car was safe to drive. A month later, the car is driving smoothly. I wish I was given more feedback during the initial repairs and they had fully ensured the car was safe to drive when they returned it to me the first time. Overall, they were very accommodating as they did not charge for the additional repairs.
There’s a reason why R&C has 5 stars. Love this place! Joel was friendly, professional, and honest. I requested a quote from Yelp and received a response with a price breakdown and all of the inspections/replacements they planned to do.
When came in to get my scheduled maintenance and they were able to get it done in a timely manner, not to mention the prices are super reasonable. I will 100% be coming here for all future maintenance.
Amazing customer and car service. I took my car for a check up after a visit at the dealer which resulted in pricey fix it list. The quote at R&C Auto Repair was affordable for my wallet. The staff was very respectful towards me explaining everything throughly. They serviced my car the same day and I haven't had any issues since. I would definitely recommend this place for any car service.
I had an oil leak and the local dealership said it would be $2,600 for labor alone...
I took it to R&C Auto on a friends recommendation and when they checked for the oil leak they said they could pin point where it was coming from. They put dye in the oil so we could find out exactly where it was. After driving it for a few hundred miles, they found exactly where it was (the oil pan) and said it was minor and only need a small patch. Turned out to be a little over $200!! A LOT better than that shady dealership.
The service was on time and finished very quickly. These guys are honest, hard working, and are priced at a great value!

Took my Ford Edge in to have repairs done, and my experience with R & C was great. All car repairs are expensive but they took care of me and gave me a couple of discounts even. Repairs were explained, and they didn't try to oversell me on additional repairs or parts. Joel kept in contact with me and gave me updates throughout the entire process. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a good automotive repair and service shop.
I went to R &C by mistake. I was calling places closer to home and accidentally dialed R&C. Because they were so polite and helpful over the phone, I thought I would give them a try. I was very happy with their service. They don’t try to up sell service. The repair technicians are honest and helpful. The folks there are attentive and good people. They answer their phone and stay in touch with me during the service.
I drive out of my way and past several auto repair businesses on the way to R & C and I’m sure I’m passing some good ones, but now that R &C has treated my family and cars well, I will continue to do business with them.
Had my timing belt and waterpump done and they did and excellent job. Sophia was very helpful and kept me up to date on the progress. Don't let the small shop fool you; they rate up there with the dealerships and large shops. Love to support our small businesses!
I've been a loyal R and C customer for over two years. These guys are the best mechanics I've ever had - and I've lived overseas so that is a HUGE compliment. They are trustworthy - never have I felt so confident that I'm not being taken for a ride, something I truly value and feel is missing in this industry. I have referred many friends to them as well and they are exceptionally happy also - Sophie and team have taken great care of them. I honestly feel like a valued long term customer. I moved further away, and still drive the extra 20 mins just to go to these guys. Five stars.
This is the place I will return again and again! I am very impressed on how they handle the entire process of my car trouble. I was changing out my drive belt and ac belt, not only their price was more than reasonable but their work was spot on! I was able to get in and out fast. Also ask for an oil change while I’m there and it was not a long wait at all!
They were upfront about the cost and give me a detailed break down. They also warned me about taxes and fees that may apply later at check out. No hidden cost that will surprise you later.
Overall, I am very pleased with my service and I will return with both my cars for any service needs.

R&C Auto takes care of my Subaru for 2.5 years since we moved to Pleasanton. I am very happy with their friendly, honest and high quality service and recommend them warmly.
These are few reasons to explain my 5 start review.
1. This summer I decided to check if my 2005 Subaru is still in a good condition. I took it to the Subaru Service and was told that the car has 2 issues. It will cost $4000 to fix them. I took the car to R&C Auto. They found the same 2 issues. They fixed one of them for free by tightening a bolt and the other one cost me $350.
2. I love R&C Auto front desk. Really :). They are very friendly, organized and always make sure that the work is done as per their initial time/money estimates so I can plan too.
Ladies of the front desc is one the important reasons of my very good experience with R&C.
I also really appreciate that they explain very clearly and in a simple way what the issue is and how it should be fixed.
3. R&C Auto are honest. If some part can be fixed and not replaced, they always offer the cheaper option.

Want an absolutely trustworthy place for excellent car repair where customer service is still a priority? They could have done several thousand dollars of work on my old car but recommended it not be done. Now THAT is an honest place! Even the office staff is knowledgable about cars! R&C definitely goes the "extra mile"!
Best customer service of any auto shop ever. They kept me updated, worked with me on cost, and even responded to emails after-hours. So far, my car seems to be running well and I have no complaints at this time. Very pleased with R&C Auto Service!
This place is just incredible!
They are very honest and really care about your car. Most auto repair places are just fix what you asked for but this place really care about your car. Also the customoer services are awesome! They make sure everything done right and well explain about any process that they are going to do. I had new brake pad and rotor from here and everything done right in and out. The price is reasonable as comparing to other places. Surely, I would love to come back again for other services.
After reading all the reviews for R&C Auto after my car had started to run really rough after just moving to the area, I figured it wouldn't hurt to bring it over to these guys and see if the other reviewers were right. Contacted R&C via email on Tuesday and had it scheduled first thing in the morning on Thursday.
After it being there a little over an hour they let know me what the issue was, how much the part would cost, and what the estimated total for servicing it would be. Price was fair and I was able to pick the car up after work without any hassle. Definitely will be going to these guys again.

I recently took my Lexus RX300 here for service and an issue with some leaking oil and I was very happy with the service I received. The young lady at the front desk (I believe her name was Sophie) was very welcoming and knowledgeable and super nice. The problem was taken care of quickly and I got my car back quicker than I thought. The price was very fair as well. I will be taking my car back here again for sure.
Believe the reviews, this shop is great. The mechanics are knowledgeable and honest. The office staff is professional and trustworthy. They always let me know what kind of repairs are necessary or what can hold off until the next time I bring it in. Plus their prices are way better than your typical dealership. You can tell when an owner is involved in the day to day operations and takes pride in his business. So if you're in the East Bay, bring your car in and support your local garage.
