Service could not be slower, and when they finally have someone free to talk to you they act like you're causing an inconvenience just by showing up. They clearly don't seem like they need anyone's business. I'd give zero stars if possible. This place needs to close down.
Their paperwork is always off. Cant register vehicles when they are bought from this yard. When you call them and talk to them they TELL YOU TO EMAIL THE GM, WHICH THEY NEVER RESPOND, AND WHEN YOU KEEP CALLING TO GET RIGHT DOCUMENTS TO REGISTER THE CAR THEY JUST PUT YOU ON HOLD FOR EVER OR HANG UP. PLACE IS A JOKE!
Customer service is awful they need to be retrained or quit!! Find a job you like doing don’t be in one you don’t I’m talking about all of them in the office
If you have nothing to do for hours on end, go here, when you call they pick up and are helpful, like they can be taken away from their job for few minutes, but whem you show up they ignore as if you dont exist for ever.They made me wait for manager that is not even working, seemed like employee wasn't properly trained.
Run for the hills boys. Nothing but consignment vehicles with swapped engines with holes in the blocks. The shadiest dealing I have ever had in my life buying from auctions all over the world for over 25 years. Absolutely disgusted in these illegal activities and how they get away with it.
And no you dont take allegations of fraud seriously. You told us to pound sand and we should have looked under the car while the loader was dropping it on the trailer?!
Hey ladies who works there. Some of you are grandmother some of you are sisters and some of you are wives. So please please have some respect when you guys talk to people. At this place I see no respect how they talk to you. This is not my first time. I go there every 2 weeks. Make me really sad whenever I come here. I don’t know what other people learn from you guys. and your family member learn from you guys. I don’t understand what gonna happen if you guys be nice. Old and young all of them RUDE.
Pics for a lot listing is 1-3 years old. Damage is woefully understated. DO NOT BID?BUY unless you inspect the lot. Also inspect it with video/pics when you pick it up. Often undisclosed or hidden damage is discovered at that time.
Do Not Buy From Here If you’re just looking for a one time car purchase! I paid 1350 in fees and taxes! Just go to an in person auction, this place is a scam! The company uses its policies to bully poor people into giving up more money, don’t fall for it.
Bought a car for 1050, expected fees to raise it to around 1500, but no, fees brought it up to 2700

They damaged and removed my cover seats without my permission and no respect. I got them new last Christmas 2021. I planned to get it but no luck. . They pay me for it!
From the front office staff to the guys and gals out in the yard, these are all hard working folks that deserve a Five Star review. Whenever i stop by the office to do any kind of transaction they are always busy, either behind the desk or helping customers at the front counter, it's a super busy place. My hat is off to all the crew there at Hayward Copart, thanks everyone for always being so nice and professional, I am there at least once a week so it feels like family now.
Worse copart experience I ever had. Bought a Run and drive vehicle. Received the car by the loader with no keys, asked him where are the keys? He said it’s in the office. Went inside to pick up my keys and there was no keys. They simply told me: we don’t guarantee keys, you buys as is. So buyers be aware, because if you buy a car with 4 wheels on the pics and when you go pick it up, you find out the car is missing two wheels, you buying as is. The manager wouldn’t do anything, emailed multiple times. I’m a high volume buyer on copart and I spend over 1 million dollars a year with them but I was beyond disappointed for having to experience such a bad customer service at the copart Hayward. 1 stars I’m being generous! I’d give 0 stars if I could, maybe then the manager would be at least have the decency of replying his emails.
Donated my car through cars 4 kids on March 11 2020. Fast forward to August/september 2020 and I have received multiple fastrak toll violations because they failed to take ownership of the vehicle when they took it in.
Tried to use the transport app to pick up a car it let me make a. Appointment for 3-29-20 at 1 pm and sent me 3 conformation email that I would make it at 1 pm. Drove 3 hours to find out they are closed , fix the app it’s a joke
BE WEARY!! this place is not very professional. My car was towed here from another business and Copart in turn towed my car to the body shop. Copart removed my license plates and noted that they put them inside my vehicle but they were no where to be found. When I called looking for my plates they gave me a huge run around I had called maybe 6 times for them to tell me there’s nothing they can do about it. They didn’t check with their technicians or anything to see who may have taken my plates. Ended up making a police report and having to sit at the DMV for hours just to get new plates.
Look I been coming to Hayward for bout a month now and I've picked up porches ,BMW"s,Audi"s mini trailers etc and not only has copart and their employees been EXCELLENT and that means the ladies in the front office have not only been courteous, kind , professional but their very BEAUTIFUL AS WELL,THEN I go out to the yard and again I'm met by the fellas with the same courtesy, kindness, speed ,and safety and shown the utmost professionalism and personally after driving for an HR+ it's very comforting to be greeted with such a great group of people. I'm Darren from ABC RENTALS and U-Haul and I've been going from Heyward to Martinez to Vallejo Copart and I get this same treatment at all locations but I guess I'm partial to Hayward since they were my first and I just wanna give a big shout out to All of Copart and say THANK YOU And we'll see each other many more times in the future. On a scale of 1to 10 Heyward gets a big 9.9 from me.Im out.

It's like going to the dmv. Made the mistake of going at 11:30 right when lunches start. Waited 30 minutes with only 1 person in front of me. Half the staff gone and the others pretending like they are too busy to even look up and acknowledge you're there.
Showed up at the end of a long stressful day, only to realize I had lost the title of the vehicle I was selling. The staff were super friendly, patient and helpful. Managed to sort me out in no time. Easiest way to sell a vehicle for sure!

So AAA had my wrecked car towed here, the people at the front desk working here are very polite. 5 stars for their service. As for the people in the yard in the back. They hire thieves!!! The people moving your vehicle and watching over the vehicles are criminals. They look very shady. I came here to look at my vehicle after the accident to determine if it was worth buying back. Everything was intacted and still working, just front end damage. I told them I'd have my adjuster call them and release the car and thanked them. A week later goes by, it was towed to me with the aftermarket radio completely removed!!!!!!!! All I could assume was that the employee that walked me to my vehicle, took it. He had a clear interest in my vehicle. As I looked at my vehicle he was also. I'm completely upset, how will I know if they didn't tamper with the other components, fluids, bolts, and nuts. How will I determine the value of my vehicle now? It's like you allowed convicts to go through your house, how will you know what they touched or stole in your home???? I feel violated and worried about my vehicle. Is it worth fixing it now? I understand its just a radio, but how do you know if they didnt remove stuff they needed for their car? Are their any cameras? Secuirty? Metal detectors? We had xrays and metal detectors at Fedex to make sure there wasn't any packages stolen or weapons brought to work (tsa). If they have the audacity to steal a radio thats very obvious and take that out if the yard and into their home who knows what they have done to your car? How many of these guys work here and make a profit stealing every day. I will call them tomorrow and speak with the DM. If this doesn't come to an agreement, I will have to find a solution of my own. I can't believe this! While typing this I already thought of a solution for them. Before the car enters their yard or if they towed it theirself, take pictures and recordings of the car. Its just as important as recording down the info on the car. Also have an xray of all the people leaving to their car. This is peoples belongings!!!! What if they stole someones life saving they forgot while heading to the bank! Unbelievable! I will slightly change my review if they can resolve my issue. I will not allow this to go by without consequences.
