  Very efficient process. There was a line of cars along the curb waiting to get in. It would be nice to have a sign or an attendant informing you where the line starts It would be nice to see the list of all metals accepted with their correspondening prices. Overall, a good experience with very helpful team members.

  I just figured out this guy scam. He's calling ALUMINUM "tin". Tin is worth zero and ALUMINUM is the highest metal you can recycle other than copper. Never going here again. It wasn't even worth my gas not to mention all the trash bags I bought.

  They are nice people and working heard. I have gone with my bike. At the gate person always greeted me with smile. Sometimes I see long line of cars especially on Fridays. If you want to avoid waiting the long line, you better go other than Fridays.

  Brought more metal (steel from dryer and patio furniture) on 05/21/2025. Apparently they do not buy steel. No receipt given. Truck bed load of metal with the accompanying going rate receipt. 05/19/2025.

  I have been going there for years and I've always gotten top service on slow days, busy days maybe even bad days they get you in and out and have always paid an honest price for my recycles. They are quick, honest and nice to do business with.

  Make sure you weight your recycling before you head to the place they give you whatever they want. One more thing, when you get your money make sure you count it seems like they give what they want as well.

  be careful with this company, they rip people off!!! I went in with some metal sheets and the paid me $0.02 cents a pound. I didn't know what the going rate was and I immediately left embarrassed with the $4.00 they gave me, but after reviewing the receipt I saw that I was paid for scrap tin which my sheets were clearly not. I would steer clear of this business

  I am a disabled senior & when I went there for the 1st time earlier today to recycle I went by public transportation. The gentleman who helped me was so kind he could see i had difficulty walking back to where my wagon was parked, he offered me his hand to assist me in walking back to my wagon. How very kind!! Nice young man!

  They keep strange hours. The place is always noisy and dirty. Parking lot is dirty and has lots of debris. I went in the winter and the parking lot was basically mud. Now some of my complaints are not their fault but reflect the condition of the area. I have been coming here for years and until recently I did not realize how little they pay for the materials. But the nicer places have all seemed to have closed down and when you dont know anything new you tend to just resort to what you did in the past which is the situation I fell into. I am fairly organized and sorted my stuff into glass, aluminum and plastic. But as of jan 1 glass will need to be further separated into green clear and brown. There are people sorting all over the place and it is messy and the folks coming in a sketch and not organized but that aint the business fault. They dont really want you throwing trash out there but the nature of recycling is you need to throw your bags away and I kinda feel like there should be a dumpster around for you to do so. Simms was better but they stopped taking this stuff a while back. I think this last rip there as my last and I am looking for an alternative. It is just not a pleasant experience here.

  They took my recyclables and they paid me. Idk what else to say, word of advice to all newcomers SORT YOUR CANS and BOTTLES at home I had no idea you had to do that. Also ensure all your bottles are drained thoroughly, I got ADHD and drink lime 90-95% of the bottle and toss it. Old man thought I filled it up on purpose, ngl cracked me. Ain't nobody got time for that , I just wanted these bottles and cans gone and now they are mission accomplished!

  I have only taken aluminum cans, which I crush first. No idea if I’m getting a good deal. . This place is dusty, dirty, and noisy (which is totally expected), but efficient and well run. Expect a line.

  A good place to recycle metal, plastic and more... and save the resources of the planet! But they have strange law... Every client can get only 1 receipt per day... Even if you forgot to bring something from your car ... you will not be able to sell it the same day...Good luck to improve your law!

  They do not close at 4:00. Apparently they close whenever they please. I pulled up at 3:45 and they turned me away. It's not like there was a line and people were still putting things in bins. Everything was closed.

  It is a place that I usually visit on Saturdays and this last time I was very unhappy because of the bad service, I spent more than an hour in the line of cars, if you don't get in by car they don't want to serve you and after 11:20am they put a limit of cars to receive

  Lowest payout on recycling in the bay area! I brought in 884 lb of steel and got a measly $17.64. they only pay two cents a pound! I then brought them dirty aluminum and they paid two cents a pound for that as well. The next load of recycling I took to refund recycle center in Livermore because that's where I live and I got nine cents per pound for the steel in 29 cents a pound for dirty aluminum.

  All I gotta say is thank God for Fry's metals. Sometimes that recycle money is not chump change it's great they're quick ,usually, and generous a bit dusty but it's a recycling station besides the dust keeps the sticky stuff under control. Easy as 1,2,3...! So get over there what else you gonna do sit there and watch more ads lmao RECYCLE IT YO!!!

  My 2nd time to visit this place for recycling since Arco Metal in San Leandro stopped their services 6 months ago I was told. Anyway, the staff at Fry's is very courteous and helpful. The wait was not bad at all. The guy directing traffic was a professional and helpful also. So glad I was able to find them online to take care of my recycling needs. I fully recommend this place.

  I went to this place on Monday this week and came back at Wednesday to complain but the workers were rude. The guy that were in charge of the money said that it was our fault that we brought over 99 pounds, He also said that if you go over 99 pound they would take the rest for free. Lastly he said that it was a California rule but for me he could have just said that we went over the limit so we could take it back. Instead he didn’t say nothing to me and continued to fool me. This receipt is the proof that they did not pay the 39 pounds and it was supposed to be $51.09. The number on the container means the weight of the bin that there going to deduct later on. I don’t recommend this place at all this place is completely rip off.

  Arrived about 1030 to join the queue, was about 1130 before I got into the yard. Next time I'll arrive by 0900. Once in, it was a quick process to drop off the recycling and get paid.

  Family run theres a bit of the line but if you choose a week day it isn't as bad. They pay fair. Today I was waiting in line a guy in a purple truck cut in front of me and parked. Well it irked me until I realized it was the owner. Well owner gets perks. I've met the family they are kind hard working people. It's like life nothing is ever like what it seems. I was pleasently surprised they helped me with the cans. Despite with my cruddy attitude and paid me fairly. Great establishment.

  Teaching my son to save cans to earn money. This was our first time. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A ++ Service. My son is excited about continuing to save and returning to Fry's to redeem .

  AVOID ... Monday ! Come wed-thur to avoid lines, everything is well managed and running smooth, Monday’s are just going to cost you an hour or more waiting in line in your car to get to the facility Did I mention avoid Monday’s? The person at the facility advised me of this on the phone when I called prior to coming down, he gets 5 stars for being honest I had the time to kill so it worked out if you don’t stick to wed-thurs is the best advice.

  I had aluminum cans and plastic bottles to redeem. This place isn't beautiful but it is run well. You park, you get some bins to sort, then put the product to redeem, and then you are paid. Hey prestro it is done. Simple. I also like that it is family run.

  Arrived at 3pm. No line. Just grabbed a bin dumped some cans and some car batteries. Easy peasy. In an out in under 10mins. Fast friendly service. Staff available to direct parking and helps you load the scale.

  I waited over 30 minutes in line, once it was my turn two workers began to argue about whether I should be assisted or not because i had some glass. I was told they weren’t talking glass but i had plastic and cans, but they still responded rudely. I only went there because everything was closed but will never come back. I highly recommend Aaron metals!

  I got ripped off there. I just assumed & when I thought about it not adding up, I see why. Could not read the receipt. The scratches from the pen on the paper must've been on purpose. Price per pound? Subtotal per item? The ONLY readable items were the drivers license info & the total!!!! NEVER, ever AGAIN! $24+ IN THEIR FAVOR. FU
