**Non Existent Customer Service** Entered O’Reilly’s Sunday 11/16 5pm, not busy, only one customer at the checkout, yet, no acknowledgement by either staff remembers at any point . I quickly grabbed what I was looking for, I was ready, holding 3 items and sat there for 5 mins or so, still no communication, while one struggled to check out a single customer, the other worker was engaging in a small talk while looking up parts, joking. Again, not a single “I’ll be right with you” or “I appreciate your patience”. I placed item down, walked away, again, no reaction or word from staff.
I left to nearby AutoZone, was greeted with a hello, smile, and asked if I needed any help…that was a 180 from my experience at O’Reilly’s on 704 Central and Webster. I will never go back to this O’Reilly’s again.
Customer service and efficiency matters, those two staffers at O’Reilly need some training before it’s too late
My battery died on a Saturday evening at 6pm, called my dealership and next appointment wasn't available until days later. I called O'reilly's, spoke with Kevin, and they were able to replace the battery in 20 minutes. It was cost efficient, fast, and a great save for my plans! Kevin was fantastic and even showed me how to put the battery back in. 10/10 experience, was able to spend my night getting ice cream with friends with little delay, and not stuck at a mechanics.
Very courteous, helpful staff, good hours, good parts availability. Thanks for being there for those need the part right now to get back ln the road emergencies

The staff at this store is always very friendly and helpful. Last night I called the store to inquire about a touch-up paint but I couldn't figure out the code of the color. The lady who answered the phone instructed me to open the door on the driver's side and take a picture of the sticker with the VIN number. Then I brought it to the store to asked the staff to help me read the code. I spoke with Chelsea. She looked it up in their system but couldn't find the product. So she searched online and confirmed the code of the paint color. She checked again in their system to make sure she did not miss anything. After making sure the store doesn't carry the product, Chelsea suggested me to take a picture of the search result and go to a paint store. She was very patient and nice. The staff always tried their best to help every time I went to O'Reilly on Central. Years ago I did not know to fill up the engine oil after making the purchase. The staff asked me to wait 5 minutes. He would help me during his break time. I cannot describe my gratitude because it was dark and the engine oil of my car was almost dry. O'Reilly Central deserves a 5 star rating.
So incredibly helpful, so fast and so kind! Chelsea bit only helped us find the right replace headlights, she installed them and impressed my kids all at the same time. Total hero.
Pretty good Auto parts store. Location on Park Street and one on Webster Street in Alameda... Usually they have the parts you're probably looking for in the stock sometimes they need to order but they are usually there the very next morning or that very day. Good experience with O'Reilly's.. Victor, the manager, saved us big time! We traveled from home and got stuck with a dead battery. He found the right battery for us and completed the installation. He was kind and patient with us despite being caught in a bind.
Went in to change a windshield wiper because of a broken one that I had, then a very respectful and kind employee named Adrian helped us find the correct windshield wiper with the right price, but not only that, he also offered to replace it for us which in fact he did. Overall the service was great, would recommend going there.
My car broke down after I thought it was taken care of ! It was raining ! I wasn't sure if I was going to make a doctor's appointment that I've been waiting a year for! I was unraveling to say the least.
I called on the phone first and they said they could help. When I got there..I think James helped me... He has a bat tattoo on his hand. He was super kind and considerate and walked out to the car with me. It's times like that ..when you really just need help ( and a new battery ) that the customer service is so important. I would recommend this place to stop in. There's a parking lot too for what it's worth.
Great customer service - they honor their warranties and help you find what you need and learn how to install it. Adrian is great and I’ve enjoyed working with him on a couple of projects.
This O’Reilly is awesome! It’s really hard to find basic tools and automotive parts in Alameda, this store fills the gap. Everything from new battery to cleaning, detailing supplies AND tools! I’ve shopped many automotive stores in my life O’Reilly is always good. The staff here really is exceptional and the store is well stocked!
Went in on a Sunday for a burned bulb and James helped me. The parts was quickly found and installation was nicely done. Big shout out to the staff especially James for the patience and the help!
Got a new battery. Joseph was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He tested my battery, then sold me the new one and replaced it on site. I felt confident that everything was done right.
Got expert guidance from Stephen and Robby. My old car needed a detail, but I didn't want to spend a lot of time. They recommended products that made it look a lot better with minimum effort. Thanks guys!
Needs a new battery mine seemed weak. No nothing about batteries. Went in and Stephen was amazing. Sold me a battery- did not upsell me! Then said they’d install it free right then and there! 10 mins later I’m driving away! Best customer service ever. Like 50 years ago. Coming here every time now. Thanks Stephen!
My husband could not get the car windows to roll back up. O'Reillys is close to our home. The employee checked the fuse box and said the fuse was still good. However, he could not get the windows go up. We were contemplating going to the car dealership to resolve the issue. Strange when we were on our way to Oakland, the windows were working.
O'Reillys is our go to place for auto needs - antifreeze, motor oil, auto battery, etc. Employees are helpful. Customer service is good. There is a small parking lot next to the building.
Called around and did some research on batteries for my '03 Toyota. Having not driven my car much during the pandemic I needed to replace a few things. Came to O'Reilly's in Alameda and super glad I did. Not only were discounts offered (and rebates given) Tristan, the customer service tech., installed my new battery for me _after_ cleaning some corrosion from the connectors. Above and beyond with zero waiting. Thanks Tristan!
Well the names have changed over the years from Grand Auto and Craig and so on but the parts have remained the same pretty much and the prices. Although I don't come in anymore for automobile that much today's cars aren't made to work on but it's always fun to work on older cars from the '60s and '70s but I really get that chance these days it's electric scooters for me so I'm always going there getting a switch here and there wiring solder and they always have it. And always just around the corner.
I ordered a cabin air filter from O'Reilly online. The filter arrived with a missing part. The local dealer worked with me to resolve this issue. It turns out that all the parts at the distribution center were defective. The local dealer gave me my money back and also gave me a free filter of another brand. He went well beyond expectations and I will continue to buy from him.
They very pleasant and courtesy so early in the morn which shocked me, open. We used my tablet to price research item at their recommendation. IT seem to be a trend with utility items stores that are small; items are way over price to cover rent,salaries are certain inventory fees. Online had a better fee with my budget. I also go thier for window wipers yearly; bearly use them wear do to the dry weather.Better attitude then most utility store during COVID19.
This is my go to auto part store in Alameda. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable; store is clean, well organized and parking is abundant. If you need anything for your vehicle, this is the place to go.

Friendly service and always willing to offer suggestions if you need. I don't come here often but when I have I've always left feeling good about my purchases and the service. They do need to upgrade their Credit Card reader to allow chip and pin reading (and to speed it up) and their cash register (which still gives really outdated receipts) but other than that they're doing a great job.
We went in last winter for new windshield wipers and it was raining. The gentleman guided us to the correct wipers and then came out in the rain to install them for me.He had the correct tools (one was stuck on). He did all this was a cheerful attitude and a smile. Wish I had gotten his name but the customer service was AMAZING! Going back for my other car this week.
